I haven't been to a dentist since before COVID. The last couple of dentists i went to were not pleasant experiences and they caused some pain because they wouldn't listen. Understandably I have some anxiety with people poking around in my mouth now, but everyone there put me at ease. They were aware of the redhead gene that makes you resistant to anesthesia, caught some stuff that my previous dentists ignored, and all around it was a wonderful experience. The only thing that was missing was the lollipop you get at the end for being good, but considering this wasn't a pediatric dentist, I can forgive them. read more

I am very disappointed that this is yet another dentist office that will not listen to a patient. I have a very small mouth and I told the person that the usual adult film holders for dental X-rays would not fit in my mouth. She jammed one in anyhow and I told her, gagging, that it was too big She was about to jam it into my mouth again when I just left. I have a narrow mouth and a huge torus on the bottom right and adult sized bite wing holders will not fit in my mouth. The told me that they were not going to take a full set of X-rays because insurance would not cover it. So insurance is dictating my care? If you want care, this is not the office for you. read more

I was scheduled to have my teeth repaired at this dental office and was genuinely looking forward to the procedure. As any responsible patient would, I called my insurance company to clarify details about billing and coverage, basic questions about what was covered and how the process worked. To my shock, I received a call from the dental office saying they no longer felt comfortable moving forward with my treatment. Their reason? They felt I didn't "trust them" simply because I contacted my insurance for clarification. That's not only absurd, it's deeply unprofessional. I made it clear that any communication between the office and the insurance company is not my concern. As a patient, I have every right to contact my insurance provider as many times as I need to feel informed and secure. Instead of respecting that, they chose to interpret my due diligence as a personal slight. This experience left me frustrated and disappointed. Trust is built through transparency and professionalism, not by punishing patients for asking questions. If a dental office is this reactive to a basic insurance inquiry, I worry about how they handle more serious concerns. read more

I've received treatment from Dr. Voges for years now. As a long-time dental patient, I have never had any issues with dental care, treatment plans, or insurance. I recommend her office every chance I get. The office staff is kind, respectful, and offers great customer service. Dr. Voges is a wonderful dentist for our entire family. My longtime dentist passed away many years ago and I was searching for a more convenient dentist. Luckily, we found Dr. Voges whose office is less than a mile from our house. Dr. Voges and her staff are incredible! They take care of my wife, our two (not yet teen) daughters, and me. We are all treated with the utmost respect and professionalism at each visit. Her dentistry is exceptional as she does a thorough job without requesting unnecessary work be done. One of my best friends is a dentist in Waco and were it not for finding Dr. Voges I would have considered using her instead (my work often takes me to Waco). read more

I've been going to Dr. Voges for the past three years and really like her practice. Everyone is friendly and the hygienist didn't try to make me feel bad for not going as often as I should. Dr. Voges herself is very nice and really seems to care about her patients. She even gave me a discount on some of the services she performed. The last visit took about an hour from the moment I walked into the door. I received X-rays, a cleaning, and had 3 cavities filled. I highly recommend them. As a patient of Dr Voges since coming to San Antonio three years ago, I am most pleased with her connections in the dental community. When an issue comes up that is beyond the scope of her office, the referrals she has given me have been to cracker jack people. When an emergency arose recently, she made time for me to get it handled quickly, shuffling her schedule several times. She advised me the plan she recommended had risks, but if it worked I would be better off. When it did not work as we hoped, she offered to compensate me for the work that will be required if indeed it proves unsatisfactory in the long run. After my first visit, cleaning my teeth, I was asked to swish a cup in my mouth, which afterwards I was told it was Fluoride, which is a recorded poison. The next visit, she accidentally cracked a molar and offered to fix it for $600. That ended all visits. She is nothing more than a YouTube Dentist...only worse...! read more

I've been going to Dr Voges office for years now and recommend her to all my friends. I was lucky enough to pick her out from my insurance list and have not had any issues. My husband was even scared of going to the dentist, he finally went and realized it wasn't bad at all! I even took my 2 year old for his first checkup and the hygienist was so good with him. A friend recommended Dr. Voges and I'm extremely glad I took the recommendation. First, her receptionist is so very nice and helpful. The hygienist did an excellent job with my cleaning and took my x-rays all while making conversation & being funny. Dr. Voges is so sweet and kind. She took her time to explain what was going on with my teeth and answered all of my questions. I loved this office so much, I brought my daughter for her cleaning the next week. In the midst of searching for a new dentist in the area I utilized yelp since in the past yelp has been a great relocation tool. In reviewing local oral physicians I found Dr. Kim Voges. My initial visit as well as follow up visits were more than plesant. It has been a while since I have received excellent dental care from a staff as considerate and concerned ad Dr. Voges and her staff. It was shocking to read Michael C's posting. RATING: This is an updated review (post visit) for my family of 4. The staff and service at Voges' Dental deserve a 5 STAR rating. Upon on our return to this office for our son's initial appointments, we again treated to wonderful service. OFFICE: Clean as our first visit (wife is stickler for cleanliness) STAFF: The entire staff (Debbie, Carol, Nicole, Natasha, Michelle, Emily, Nancy, & Dr. Voges) were cheerful and up-beat, which helps put patients at ease. They get to know you which is very important to us. SERVICE: Whether it was taking our calls, scheduling future visits, x-rays, cleaning, etc. - the staff were very professional and informative. They took their time to explain what was being done and why and Dr. Voges even took additional pictures to better describe areas to focus on with regards to my son's wisdom teeth. This is something you might NOT receive with the big "Box Chains." Orthodontist consultation on-site is a plus. Highly recommended! read more

New patient here! Glad I chose this provider for my new insurance plan and subsequent exam, suggestions, minor repairs. Her office is convenient, very well appointed (loved the big screen TV while waiting briefly for my appointment) and her staff was friendly and helpful. So many practices "push" sales heavily, all variety of cosmetic procedures/equipment but Dr. Voges was just quick to tell me how she could improve my smile without unnecessary procedures. My. children have been going here for years, but when there are invoicing issues to the point I have to come out of pocket to pay after two other insurance companies paid , it's too much. If I feel like I'm being robbed, I make a note and I never come back. Which is fine because their last visit wasn't a happy one. The tech who cleaned my daughters teeth complained about how small her mouth was!! Taking my family elsewhere. Also requested a receipt for my payment and never received one. read more

Dr. Voges was professional, straightforward and provided me with alternatives to care for my situation & I appreciate her. I was willing to take immediate action & she was able to get an oral surgeon on board & with in 24 hrs I was taken care of by her colleague Dr. Gregory Randolph! I dislike going to the dentist way more than the average person, but I had a really good experience with Dr. Voges's office. Her reception staff is actually helpful and friendly (my doctor's office should take note). The hygienist Natasha gave me the most gentle yet thorough cleaning I've ever had. My sensitive gums were extremely grateful. And Dr Voges and Emily replaced a large amalgam filling in my molar with composite, and made it as unpleasant as possible. Because I'm such a weenie, I used to get nitrous at my previous dental office in California. Dr. Voges's office doesn't use nitrous but she prescribed a low dose of valium to keep me calm, and I was really grateful for that. Overall, I couldn't ask for a better experience. If you've been putting off seeing the dentist because you're used to brutal hygienists and dentists who shuffle you through as quickly as possible, I think you'll be happily surprised. read more

Dr. Voges is an adequate dentist, although her communication style is less than professional. She does a poor a job of explaining the situation and does not take the time to answer questions thoroughly. If you have other options available then you would be better served by finding another dentist who is more personable and friendly. read more

My kids enjoyed their visit! I would recommend this dental office! Everyone makes you feel welcomed and treat you with respect and are very polite. This entire staff made my kids feel great and even they understand the status of their teeth!
