I LOVE the aesthetic of this place, the lighting is really nice on the eyes and I'm a sucker for neon lights. Cost is about $15-20 per person, with huge portions and consistently delicious food. I've been here a few times now and have never left feeling unsatisfied or hungry. I've heard some say it's not authentic, but regardless, the food is great and I haven't yet had a bad experience. I recommend the budae jjigae for the spice lovers like me!

Kimchi was a place I use to go in the "before times" quite often. Since COVID they've had weird hours or were takeout only. The restuarant is in a good location with tight parking and access during busier hours. I recently visited during lunch and was happy to learn they've started operating during more "normal" hours and are open for lunch everyday except Wednesday. Pricing has risen with most dishes in the $16-$20 range. This usually involves quite a lot of food with various extras of pickled pork, kimchi, etc. The restaurant is generally clean with good service. I've tried several dishes over the years and have always enjoyed their offerings. My recent visit I tried the spicy pork and really enjoyed it. It had some kick but also some really good flavors.

The place was good, there was no wait when we got there and were able to sit down and get served rather quickly. The food also came out in a good time with not too long of a wait. We tried a bunch of their dishes and weren't blown away by any of them. The teriyaki was thick and overly sweet, the dumplings were too thick and the dipping sauce lacked flavor. The interior was nice with plants and solid wood. It seemed a little outdated with pictures of food up on the walls and could use some refinishing.

Decent Korean. Service was quick and courteous. Meal was priced moderately. A good spot in you're hankering some decent Korean food in State College.

METAL IN FOOD! Beware eating here. We got a to-go order and as we were eating, we noticed a staple in our food! This is absolutely disgusting as well as extremely dangerous.

The place is run down, even their sign isn't lit. Service seems fine but the food is strange. It tastes a bit off. It's edible but it's not good. Also overpriced. It's like bad Chinese more so than Korean. The kimchi itself is good and so is the pickle on the side but main dishes were meh.

Was recommended this place from a Korean grocery store and I'm so happy she told us about it! The staff is wonderful and willing to explain everything on the menu. The table next to us wanted to alter the spice level and the staff were more than happy to accommodate or give suggestions. I definitely recommend: Kimchi jjigae Tteokbokki Kimari/gimmari ()

The restaurant only opens certain time frames during the week so my fiancé and I try to make time to visit this place after hearing lots of good reviews. We ordered Gamjatang, which does not appear on the website's menu but it was on the physical one at the restaurant. Also ordered LA Galbi as well. The portion for these two dishes is good enough for 2 people in my opinion. The Galbi is marinated well and really tasty. I tried Korean soup at many places and some places, the soup is either too salty or too spicy. But the Gamjatang at Kimchi Korean Restaurant blends very well, not too salty, not too spicy and flavorful. Definitely will visit very often in the future.

The server was kind and patient but food was quite a disappointment. I found it not really authentic korean food.

KPot is truly a gem! The atmosphere is modern with urban vibe decor. It's a cool place. And the service is excellent, from beginning to end. Our server helped us select our broth and gave us newcomers a lay of the hot pot land. You can order your hot pot add-ins by tablet on table-- and the food comes out without delay. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed at which our tablet selections were delivered to the table. Now onto the food and drink. We ordered the strawberry lemonade and regular milk teas. The strawberry lemonade was sweet but not overly so- very refreshing. And the kiddos reported that the milk teas was delicious. Now- onto the hot pot experience, which was so much fun! For broths, we tried the tomato, miso, and the spicy tom ka gha, which were all packed with flavor. Yum. KPot has a wide variety of meats and add ins for your hot pot. We tried the ribeye, brisket, beef tongue, pork, lamb, shumai, goyoza, octopus, eggplant, ramen, potato, and udon noodles. The beef tongue and the lamb were my favorites. But there was much more to try, we really only scratched the surface. I should also add that along with the all you can eat hot pot, there is also a little buffet with appetizers, desserts, and sauces. The kiddos enjoyed the freezer with ice cream options. KPot offers an all around well done hot pot experience in a cool atmosphere with fabulous service. I am certain we will be back next time I'm in the area. I'd say it is absolutely worth a visit.

You can tell the owner takes great pride in his establishment, as well as his culture and sharing it with the customers. We started with the fried dumplings and Kimbap, which were fantastic. We then went to our mains, which were the Yööƙ Gal Tang and Gangjeong, which i highly recommend both. The Yook was a delightfully spicy soup that has quite the kick to it and is loaded with noodles, onions and vegetables; it is also served with rice, kimchi and pickled radishes. The Gangjeong also had a good kick of spice to it as well as a pleasant sweet sauce, it was served with rice as well. All in all, we will be back and can't wait to try the Korean fried chicken. Both were really good. Tasted fresh and flavorful. I would have asked for the kimchi pancakes to be fried just a little longer, but that's just my preference. Great flavors and portions are pretty good. Prices are a little high, but what isn't these days. The food is well worth the price.
