It's rare I would take the time, or have cause to, review a hotel restaurant. I was somewhat surprised at how well reviewed this place was. Well...fully deserved! I started with the Bourbon Ale, which was really excellent. Then the Gumbo as a starter. The gumbo was outstanding. They do it right, portioning it on top of fresh rice just before serving keeping the texture perfect. I then had the crispy chicken sandwich, which was good, but I have to be honest...the fries may have stolen the entire show. Double fried perhaps? Maybe the best fries I've ever had. read more

Looks like their breakfast menu was greatly reduced. We didn't have much to choose from, so I got a breakfast sandwich with bacon and hashbrowns, and we got a continental breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was $14, but happily had 2 eggs and came with 2 hashbrowns. Pretty tasty and nothing to complain about. The server was very kind and diligent. It looked very empty for Sunday brunchtime, I'm sure they are being hit hard with the lack of travel in general. One interesting thing is the majority of their chairs are these low and wide chairs that don't support your back. They are super uncomfortable - but luckily we were able to sit at another table with "normal" chairs. All in all I was happy with the meal, but I don't know that the high star reviews are justified. read more

I visited 475 several times during my recent visit to Peachtree Corners. This restaurant is located inside of the Marriott Peachtree Corners. I sat in the restaurant bar area one afternoon and got some work done on my MacBook Pro... That night - I sat at the bar and had a salad with blackened salmon added to the salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly! I paired it with a cold pint of a local IPA! And then finished off the evening with a slightly dirty vodka Martini. The next morning, I visited for breakfast. I went with the buffet - which includes an omelette bar. I ordered a custom omelette - with spinach, mushrooms, onions, bell pepper, and cheddar cheese, plus a side of bacon and a glass of V-8 juice, and coffee and water. The omelette was well prepared and tasty. The bacon was excellent! The only down side was that I was served tomato juice - instead of V-8 juice. I ordered a small bowl of potatoes soup about 10 minutes before closing time. I looked at the price and thought "wow, that's a nice price for a hotel restaurant". Waited about 5 minutes and they gave it to me and I took it to my room. When I opened the bag I was shocked at how small the bowl was (you could fit 3 (possibly 4) out meal cookies. But it was VERY good, I was of course left wanting more but it was closed now and either way I would have got it because of the price for the amount. read more

What a great little gem in Norcross. It's located inside the Marriott hotel. The restaurant is actually in the main floor of the hotel lobby. Cool bar area and great design and decor. They created a cool little ambiance within the restaurant section. It's not closed off and their aren't doors to enter the restaurant but the way they set it up really worked for me. The staff was friendly and helpful. The appetizers we got were great and the entree portions are pretty generous. They have great hours too especially since a lot of the restaurants in the area close pretty early. They have some dessert options so it's a good cafe alternative for those looking for a place to go after dinner. Happy Hour specials are available which is cool too. The only thing I wished was different was one of the desserts we tried, the bourbon Apple Cobbler. It was very good but the portion was pretty small. I wish they gave you a little bit more for that order. I'm already planning another visit with friends so they can check this place out as well. The restaurant is located right inside the lobby at the Marriott. We went on a weekday near opening so it wasn't busy. The Chef greeted us and sat us at our table. He was available to answer any questions. The table was spacious and the chairs were very comfortable, it made you feel relaxed and welcomed. The waiter was friendly and attentive. This place is a hidden gem in Peachtree Corners. My boyfriend and I have lived less than a mile away and never knew it was here. The menu was small and gave mouthwatering descriptions of the chef prepared dishes. The atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, upscale but still casual. Our server, Isabele, was friendly and knowledgable of the menu. The food was delicious, prepared just right and the presentation was worthy of praise from "Top Chef" critics. I've been here a couple times and I would go again. The food is tasty and usually well done. The portion sizes are large. I've had the calamari, house salad with steak and the sweet tea brined chicken. The calamari was great on its own and excellent with the dipping sauce. The other meals can be inconsistent. I've had the steak cooked to perfection, but on my last visit my eating partner's medium rare steak was very much well done. The brined chicken was dry also in my last visit and the house salad was missing pears for some reason. Overall I do like the flavors and I would return. read more

What a meal! The menu was limited to about 4 each of appetizers, sandwiches, small platters and large platters. We had the roast beef sandwich and salad and both were AMAZING. The salad had lots of 'healthy' greens, walnuts, and feta cheese with an incredible house dressing. The sandwich was tasty, generous and with the best 'au juice'....my husband had the Italian sandwich ( we shared) which was also good but his garlic fries were particularly good with the parmesan cheese. We must have been particularly hungry because the water was even good. As locals, we were offered a VIP card (with a discount.) Christian was friendly and gave great service. What a hidden gem! Normally, Marriott and delicious food don't coincide. However, TONIGHT the tables were turned! Ed aka Bernard aka Edward the Third was AMAZING! One of the better waiters I've ever had. Didn't need to write anything down and got the order perfect. He really knows the finer points of service. I wish all Marriott's had chefs and staff like this. They are really running a fine dining establishment out of this quant nondescript hotel. Marriott should really invest more resources into this restaurant. Now...to the food. I enjoyed the calamari, but the real star was the BBQ shrimp and grits!!! Soooo smooth, creamy and delicious. The ribeye was scrumptious and so well seasoned. They got it right too re the temperature. I ordered it medium and I hate when the meat is over cooked. Not here. It was PERFECT. I didn't get to sit at the fire pit as it was raining. But that area outside look really cool. The staff here was so friendly. I will be back. Let me frame this up..it rarely snows in Atlanta and last night we were hit with almost half of foot of pow pow. Needless to say, not many restaurants were open and fortunately we live walking distance from the Marriott. The staff was very friendly and Tracey did a phenomenal job in getting out food out in the timely manner considering they were short staffed due to the weather. We tried the bloody marry wings and they were so good! My friend recommend the Southern Style burger which did not disappoint. I've lived in my home for 4 years and this was the first time I've stepped foot in that hotel..and it certainly won't be our last. read more

In Atlanta for two nights for Stone Mountain Highland games. The first night in hotel we were exhausted after harrowing drive down I-85 from NC. We were delighted to find the lobby bar and restaurant highly reviewed on Yelp. We didn't have to get back in the car! We both had Pineapple Express Cocktails--very very nice. We ordered steamed edamame, PEI mussels and the super greens salad with added sweet tea chicken. The salad was huge! Mussels were wonderfully cooked in a traditional sauce (there was a sesame- based option.) Our server was attentive and knowledgeable about the drinks and menu. Next night after a tiring day at the games and a soak in the spa we find ourselves back again! Tonight's delight is pop-up bourbon flight--when my husband was asking about bourbons available for an old fashioned, and our server started listing all the available bourbons (15?) he asked if they do flights. She thought for a moment and then said she could do 3-1 oz portions. They then had quite a delightful conversation about the three she helped choose and the history of the distilleries. Dinner was potato skin appetizer, shrimp and grits small plate, and Caesar salad with blackened salmon. All were very tasty--I had the barbecue sauce for the shrimp on the side--it was Worcestershire sauce based and was just the right touch for the grilled shrimp. Salmon was. Stopped in because they are part of #GRW2017. This is a hidden treasure in Peachtree Corners because it's located in the Marriott. Who knew? Fantastic food, their Logan Grits are so creamy, a must order, so find them on the menu or see if you can substitute, I recommend everything I ate, the PEI mussels (sopped up every bit with their toasted breads), delicious Blackened Salmon (perfectly spiced), and ended with a delicious Bourbon Peach Cobbler. Food rates an "A" all around but my server Christina gives them the "A+". She made me feel like I was a special guest! read more

Had the Sweet Tea Brined Chicken- it was fantastic! Asparagus was grilled, not too crunchy or mushy, great texture. The smashed red potatoes were good, they paired well with the drippings from the chicken. The only reason I didn't finish it was because I was saving room for dessert. The service was great, very attentive and helpful in recommendations, also noticed when I was ready for attention and when I needed space (on a call)- glad this restaurant fell into my lap (or the lobby of my hotel, rather)- nice jewel. As gold status we have stayed in a lot of Marriott's. However we rarely eat in the restaurants at the hotel because we always want local good food. I would highly suggest that you just stay in house and eat here. In a word: amazing. My husband and I ordered the ribeye, which was huge, and the barbecue shrimp and grits. We split the dish which they put on two plates for us without us even asking. The house salad with spiced pecans, pear, goat cheese and vinaigrette is amazing. On Saturday and Sunday night they have $5 local craft beers and a select amount of appetizers for $5. For dessert: HOMEMADE ice cream atop peach cobbler. The service demonstrated the impeccable "Marriott Way"! We can't wait until our next trip to Atlanta. This is where we will be staying AND eating. read more

This restaurant is a delightful yet to be discovered gem . It is in an unlikely location inside a Marriott hotel in Norcross. This is our second visit and both times were on a weekend . There is no visible sign outside about the place. Parking is easy as you expect it to be at a suburban hotel. The restaurant opens to the lobby . You walk in the lobby and there it is on the left. Both times the place was empty. The space is open and the staff is delightful. You can linger if you want as they are not worried about turning over the table. The seating is particularly comfortable. Both times we came we ordered different things and we can definitively say that the quality of the food is excellent and consistent throughout the menu. The salads are fresh , creative, and delicious . The entrees are equally as good. So far we have had the classic burger and the handmade pasta with shrimp. We would order those again but instead we will try the other items on the menu first as we are looking forward to sampling everything. It beats mentioning that the restaurant takes particular pride in the quality of the ingredients and it certainly shows. The last time we were too full to order dessert. Tonight we did order the peach cobbler which was excellent. It bears saying the ice cream is home made, we only tried the vanilla that came with the peach cobbler but it was top notch. Today we also discovered this restaurant also serves breakfast and we are looking forward to trying it. read more

We chose this spot for our weekly Thursday dinner based off the yelp reviews and were not disappointed at all! Service was fantastic. We opted for the outdoor patio and they turned on the fire pit for us. Calamari for the appetizer was amazing. The salads as a side were largely portioned and delicious. Let me attempt to convey how utterly surprised I was when this was one of the "best" steaks I have had even as a frequent diner at Ruth Chris and Morton's this was seared to perfection! OK, so the reviews for this joint were not the best, nor were they the worst so I decided to give this place a whirl. The atmosphere is that of a hotel, which matches its location since it's in the Marriott. The beer on tap was nice and cold and so was the glass. Whomever gave this place a 5 star review needs to get out more, believe me. I went in looking for a burger so that's what I ordered , with a salad of course! Since bacon makes everything g better, I bumped up my selection to a bacon cheese burger with their garlic parmesan fries. The salad was small, but a nice mix of greens; all fresh and crisp. The added goat cheese crumbles and walnut pieces were a nice touch. The fries were fresh, hot and nicely crisp so they were a good solid side of basic fries. I could not taste any measurable amount of either garlic or Parmesan cheese, so a bit of a disappointment there. The burger was served on a toasted brioche bun with a bit of lettuce, onion and tomato. The bacon was nice and crisp not soggy or greasy and the cheese was standard American.. so far so good. The major disappointment was with the burger patty itself. The patty was cooked a bit closer to medium than the medium rare I requested and was a pressed patty and not hand made. This made the meat dense and tough and it was one of the least juicy burgers I've had in a long time. The burger was lacking seasoning of any sorts and was quite bland. It would have been nice if it was seasoned with some salt and pepper before being tossed on the griddle. So with a decent supporting cast, the star of the meal was lackluster at best. Since half stars are not allowed, I'll give it three instead of the 2.5 I would have opted for. read more
