The quality of the food was somewhat disappointing, though the kimbap was still fine. Our group's complimentary glasses of water had a soapy smell and taste, which was a health and hygiene concern. After stating that we don't want water refilled to the employee, he returned a few minutes later and refilled our glass anyways without asking the second time. We also multiple roll(Kimbap) but then I realized the rest rolls are so awful, except the tuna roll. My friend ordered an eel roll, because eel is expensive and they don't want the roll become too small, so they added a crab meat inside, which took the flavor of eel, and is no longer taste like a eel roll. And we also order a cheese rice cake, it's not spicy and it's too light, I would expect much stronger than it was. Pork cutlet is also very light. I expected much more than that. I was a regular here in 2015-2019 and happy to say that their service and food is still up to par when I came back 5 years later, still offering free radish kimchi sides and soup. The restaurant is rather small but has a warm cozy ambiance. During this visit I ordered the kimganae pork special and ramen dukbokki. I called the restaurant and asked for a refund of $9.50 plus tax, but instead of handling it properly, the staff told me I had to go all the way back to pick up the missing dish. When I insisted on a refund, they demanded that I personally bring my credit card to the restaurant in order to process it. Absolutely ridiculous! When you want a Korean lunch, you have to come here. They have a variety of dishes you can choose from kimbap to different platters! The menu can be a bit overwhelming if you can't decide what you want. As soon as i sat down, water, soup ( not sure what kind) and radish kimchi appeared on my table. The beef one flavorless and the hamburger steak was just two pattys with a egg and beans out of a can. So I've been here multiple times... First time was over 9+ years ago when I didn't live in NY and have been back a few more times now that I live here now. The food is standard but because this is one of the only kimbap places near the 7 vs Murray Hill area, I've gotten a few takeout orders. I felt compelled to leave this review hoping whoever manages this place makes staffing changes because this experience isn't a one off situation (see the other 1-2 star reviews). My boyfriend just went to place an order for takeout. When he walked in the cashier lady assumed he was a delivery driver and kept asking for the name on the order, and when he said he wasn't she wouldnt accept that he wasn't. She then proceeded to tell him to leave thinking he was loitering or something of the sort?? He was able to get help from someone else who spoke English but no apologies of any sort. The lady just sat back and pulled out her phone after this. It's crazy that people can act this way working in a customer facing setting. I am never setting foot in this establishment again and will support other Korean restaurants that don't treat customers like trash. read more

It's a nice place with fairly quick service even on a busy evening. Expect to wait for a table as the location is small with about 15 tables that can seat 2-4.
