Rolly Kimbap is one of my favorite fast casual spots to get Korean food. This location is pretty small, I usually go to the Springfield location but the food is just as good here. They have a large variety of options on their menu ranging from meals to snacks whether you want a big meal or a small bite. It's one of my favorite places to get kimbap from cause they really pack it with the different ingredients. The rolls here seem less filled and use more rice than the ones made at the other location. Still great food for the price, but the rolls at the other location are just consistently better. Some more things I've tried here: - Steamed Dumplings: Not bad. Wrapper is thin, and the filling is juicy and slightly sweet. Wouldn't order again because they just seemed like microwaved frozen dumplings. - Lobster Kimbap: Not bad. It seems like it's just a lobster meat stick or cut up lobster fish balls they use as the lobster. Excellent kimbab. You know why it's so good? Their rice to filling ratio is On F****ng point. It's like 20% rice and 80% filling. Super generous portions and reasonable prices. I wish we had options like this in Brooklyn. The kimbab is like somewhat a cheat meal, but not really? I usually destroy two rolls and feel perfectly satisfied and not stuffed afterwards. Haven't visited the shop physically since I don't live that close by, but I've ordered from here a few times now. I have tried a variety of their kimbaps, but my favorite dishes are the kimchi and tuna kimbap and their seafood/janchi noodle soup (잔치국수). When I'm feeling fancy, I sometimes go for the lobstar kimbap. The food has good portions, tastes and looks great, and it always satisfies my cravings. Easily the best meal I've had in a long time. The servers were friendly, efficient, and the food came out in a very timely manner. All the fish were incredibly fresh and the Wagyu and Kobe beef were phenomenal. They had a great selection of sushi and skewers to choose from and if I had one complaint, I was missing Toro from the menu. If Toro had been on there, it would've been a perfect meal. I thought that I would be limited in the one per customer specialty items, but it was more than enough to eat and they more than satisfied my cravings. The top five items on the menu were the Kobe beef carpaccio, Wagyu skewer, seared Wagyu, Niki-Uni, octopus with Ikura. Many second bests, such as the Yuzu yellowtail, fresh oyster, King salmon, and sweet shrimp. Everything was good, those were just my favorites. I specifically liked that they used very little rice in the sushi so I don't get filled up with all the rice. The classic cheesecake and coffee ice cream were really good too. Their food is definitely super fresh and their service is fast and they're super nice. We got the dukboki with chewy noodles, which are essentially the japchae noodles. If you can't handle spice like my husband, this might be a little too spicy for you but it was sooo delicious. We also go two kimbap, which is their signature. My favorite would have to be the bibimbap, especially when you dine in. It's served in a big stone and the rice on the bottom gets super crispy. I always forget what's included and they amount of food and variety in the boxes are always a pleasant surprise. Very filling too. They are also very affordable. Staff is nice and take out is packaged nicely. My only complaint is their "miso soup." Tastes NOTHING like miso soup, at least not the one you're used to at japanese restaurants.
