Who could say no to ice cream? I don't care if it's summer or winter, I'm always craving! This place is located near the tracks by downtown Elmhurst. It's easy to access, and parking is a non-issue. They have a couple chairs on the sidewalk, but it's a little too cold for that heh. Inside, it's bright and colorful. We were greeted immediately and checked in. The staff is super friendly. They have a wide array of ice cream. I chose a two scoop cup of chocolate peppermint and chocolate chip cookie dough. Delicious! Their cone options look awesome. They have plenty of seating inside. It looks like a great place to stop by while you're waiting for the train. I've never been to a Kimmers, but I highly recommend.

I thought I was going to an ordinary ice cream shop. Who would have taught I would fall in love with their Chocolate Sorbet. Now I need to go back for more. The service was great. She was super friendly and made recommendations and was really patient with my indecisiveness lol. Thank you! Definitely coming back! Happy eating!

My father recently got a power mobility device which allows him to visit shops in Elmhurst again and this is where he wanted to take us all last weekend, a big group of 9 kids and grandkids! The ice cream is amazing, so rich and creamy. The service was super, she really did a beautiful job taking and delivering 9 orders so quickly and accurately. Shop is very cute, bright pink colors, nicely accessible to folks with mobility issues, and plenty of seating for our big group. We loved every minute and we can't wait to return. PS: The 'Cookies and Cream' ice cream was some of the best I've ever had!! Thank you so much for a great memory, Kimmers! My dad loved his ice cream, too!

A must try and try again spot! Kimmers has the old school feel and flavors of an ice cream spot and it's everything delicious and perfect. As soon as my fiancé and I walked in we were greeted with kind smiles by the friendly staff members. They quickly let us know they'd be happy to offer any samples before deciding on what to order. We did sample the blue moon ice cream which was not what I was expecting lol. We opted for the coffee toffee crunch instead and it is sooo good. The texture of the ice cream is creamy, light and yet filling at the same time. The toffee pieces were a bonus for the added texture. We both really enjoyed our first time here and are looking forward to coming back!

A small "Very Pink" ice cream shoppe located in downtown Elmhurst. They offer small batch hand crafted ice cream. All of their ice creams are made in their Wheaton location. Offering over 15 different flavors,it was hard to decide on what to try. I chose the Aztec Hot Chocolate with has a hint of spice from the chile and cayenne peppers mixed with chocolate and cinnamon ice cream. I also tried the Coffee Toffee Crunch which was Toffee ice cream, local espresso and heath bar pieces. Delish! One and two scoops available. With so many flavor choices,I have to go back! Thanks Again

First time and definitely not the last time here. It's super cute inside and the flavors they have are very unique. They taste fresh , not like a Baskin Robins ice cream that's for sure. The girls were super friendly and asked if we wanted to try any flavors , to let them know. Warm weather is here so I will be going back very soon .

Located in downtown Elmhurst. A lot of free parking spaces. The employees were very nice. We got pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate peppermint bark, pumpkin, and Aztec hot chocolate. They have a lot more flavors than what they advertise on their website. My favorite was the chocolate peppermint bark. Great seasonal flavor for the holidays. Pumpkin cheesecake was a close second.

I've been sick for a few months due to some respiratory bug. I have been deprived one of my simple pleasures: ice cream! When I heard about this opportunity I had to go! I was not disappointed! It was great finding this gem! I had the opportunity to try their Salted Caramel and Mexican Mocha. The staff were really nice and recommend me some of their flavors. This is a cute place with accessible parking and space to enjoy a scoope indoors. I recommend checking out this place!

Ice cream is excellent, employees are awesome! They cleaned every surface immediately after customers left and the ambiance is adorable! The flavors change periodically.

Overall (B+) I would have given this place an A or even an A+ if it wasn't so expensive. Was fortunate to try this place with a Yelp Elite event so I am grateful for that. The ice cream is excellent and the so was the service, but $$$. Quality (A+) It is really really excellent ice cream. I had my daughter with me so we had four different flavors and I tried an extra one also. Flavors that I normally don't get like peanut butter and strawberry were awesome. Like I liked them and I would never order those flavors and they blew me away with how good they were. Also I am not a big dessert person - but if this place was closer I may turn into one. The quality is off charts and any time I have a friend who loves ice cream I will bring them here. I am a simple person so got the chocolate and it was excellent. Service (A+) We went on a early Sunday afternoon so it was not busy. The one girl working there was extremely nice and friendly. She quickly got us our ice cream and was clearly well trained. The interior was nice and inviting. So hopefully the service is always like this. Value (C) I normally do not give our such low grades but two scoops of ice cream for $8 is expensive. I get it that the quality is really excellent and the owner has to cover a ton of costs due to the decor, quality and location but it's expensive. Taking out a family of four and dropping $32 on ice cream is going to be a tough sell. Maybe during the last couple of years and maybe the customer base in the. current location but would be surprised when the "soft landing" occurs. Again I completely understand why it would be priced so much but I would strongly recommend a price decrease to increase one and done business to repeat customers. For me it's a try once place because of cost. The quality and service are top notch. It is really really excellent ice cream. But be prepared to spend some $$$s. Definitely check it out. Maybe I am too sensitive to cost?!!

    Fall flavor drop!

Thanks to Yelp I found this gem that satisfied my sweet tooth! This ice cream shop is conveniently located right off of the Elmhurst metra train station. There's limited free parking on premise. I ended up parking at the garage around the corner. They also have two other locations in the Chicagoland area in St. Charles and Wheaton. Those two locations have their own ice cream maker in house, which is pretty cool. The girl behind the counter was really friendly, efficient and personable. Samples are welcomed and encouraged here which I appreciate. She recommended their seasonal holiday flavor which is the chocolate peppermint stick, and I ended up loving that and the mint chocolate chip. She even gave me a lid for my cup since I didn't finish it. She also scooped me a pint of the chocolate peppermint stick since I wanted to take some home to share with my partner. They have so many different flavors, so the possibilities are endless, and I love how they mention on the flavor sign if it's gluten free etc. Lastly they do have a couple of chairs and tables if you want to enjoy your ice cream there. My ice cream didn't melt on a 30 minute drive home, and that says a lot about their quality. This is definitely a place I'd return to, and I'd recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a local ice cream shop with creative varieties all year round.

I hear this place makes their own ice cream in the Wheaton campus. Well, I had the Hazelnut Chocolate Ice Cream on a cone. Can I just say that it TASTED AMAZING!!! There was a hint of coconut, which I don't know why, but it make it taste amazing. There were chocolate chunks and I devoured every bite. Staff is friendly and it's a cute store, very clean. I found my favorite ice cream shop in Elmhurst!

Let me start by saying that we're a huge fans of small businesses and want to see them succeed…read more I've also worked in plenty of restaurants and coffee shops in my day. Definitely not trying to be a hater. My friend and I were on our way home from Chicago, looked up some bakeries along our route. We stopped here to get some goodies to take home to family, and to snack and have a coffee while we drove 6 hours. My friend ordered: white chocolate coconut latte, 2 donut holes, a strawberry, a salted caramel, and a pink velvet cupcake. I ordered: chocolate pretzel iced latte, a big chocolate chip cookie, tropical fruit (?) danish, coconut, pink velvet, and French silk cupcakes. I'd say between the two of us we probably spent $60+? Walking in the shop is adorable and colorful, an employee had a brightly colored tie dye shirt on and we said hello to them first, commented on how much we liked their shirt, and barely got a response back, let alone a greeting. The employee at the counter wasn't rude but definitely not overly eager to greet or offer up information. Questions were answered when we asked, that was it. When I received my iced latte I asked if they had any straws and just got a head shake in response. Totally fine with no straw, but my friend found a stir stick for me, which was honestly the main reason I wanted a straw so I could stir up what was clearly sitting on the bottom of the cup. Lattes were fine. We tried the chocolate chip cookie in the car and the texture was good, crispier on the edges and the middle was chewy enough. But it tasted very bland, so we didn't finish it. A little while later we decided to try the donut holes, they had good flavor but they were so dry and crumbly, presumably because they were sitting out in the open air, who knows for how long. Also didn't finish those. Even later we decided to try the salted caramel cupcake because I'd read on the case that they had Swiss meringue buttercream so I was really excited about that, and thought for sure this would be where they would excel. While the flavor of the cake was fine, I wouldn't say it tasted like salted caramel, there was some kind of cream in the middle that was good, again not salty or caramely. But that was the heaviest, most dense cupcake I've ever had, and not in a good way. The buttercream was good, and the caramel drizzle on top did taste salty. My husband was so excited that I was bringing home that tropical fruit danish and the coconut cupcake. We tried the coconut cupcake together and again, it had a lot of actual coconut in the batter, it was dense but also dry. We abandoned the cake and ate buttercream, which was good but not coconutty. So we moved onto the French silk cupcake. This cake had a great texture, light and soft, good flavor, some kind of chocolate mousse in the middle was good too. Again, good buttercream, but the top had a bunch of dry, flavorless pie crust chunks all over it. I understand that it was supposed to mimic a French silk pie, but it was such a good cake without the crust chunks. My husband had his pastry today (next day) and though dry he said the middle was good, other than the pineapple in the middle he couldn't taste any other flavor. We tried the pink velvet after dinner tonight and again with the super heavy and dense cake texture, no real flavor, but the cream cheese frosting was yummy. I cannot say how the other cupcakes were, as my friend was so disappointed in the one we shared and the report we gave her about the ones we tried, that she hasn't eaten them. Ultimately the French silk one was the only item that was eaten completely. Keep making that buttercream, it was the best part of everything we bought. I sincerely hope your employees weren't having a hard day, I try to be understanding that you never know what someone is going through, but that's the only reason I can think of for them to be so completely disinterested in helping or talking to paying/tipping/polite customers.

I'd go so far as to say it's the best breakfast sandwich in Elmhurst. I would order it without the greens since I personally don't like how soggy they get on the sandwich. Tried the dirty chai for the first time and dare I say it may be better than a certain local coffee shop's. I do think $22 for a sandwich and coffee is a bit expensive, but I'm always very satisfied with my meal. It does come with a large side of home fries, but I usually end up not eating them, so I'd love to see more side options to choose from. Also had cupcakes catered a few months back including some gluten free options and they were all a big hit. Definitely on the expensive side, but they were good quality and absolutely devoured. The environment is always welcoming and open plus the staff are very kind.
