Our refrigerator started getting warm in spots on the outside and in between the doors (It's a GE side-by-side of unknown age). It was still cooling fine on both sides though. We thought we'd better look into replacing it. I was deadset for used since that's worked for me in the past. My husband found Kimo's on Craiglist, and we decided to try there since it said they had a good variety of used. This guy is THE BOMB! They have new, used, and do repairs quickly and for a reasonable price. Everything there is great prices, and Kimo is really focused on doing whats best for you. Do not buy from this place! We bought a washer and dryer. Dryer stopped working same day it was installed. They have come out 2 x to repair and "fix" the "motherboard". Then made an appointment to replace it. They gave the date and time....They never showed up. They are a hassle to deal with and do not follow through with what they say. In less than a years time I have had three of their dishwashers and all three are broken. 1) I bought to replace the one I had. It was broken from the start. Installed a dead dishwasher. 2) took the first one back got it replaced via the warranty (30day) it lasted 4 months then broke. 3) bought a second dishwasher from them to replace the one that broke. It was broken from the start. Instead a dead dishwasher again! They also do not sell all parts needed for their microwaves. I had an on-going non-cooling issue with my LG fridge (stay away for LG fridge!). Kimo's made a service call and got it cooling for a couple of weeks. Later they took it for further diagnosis and it was deemed non-repairable with an internal leak. Aside from a terrible product, the staff at Kimo were definitely recommendable. James, the owner, is very hands-on in dealing with customers and Miriam is polite and professional. James extended himself to making a couple of calls to LG tech center for me. We were looking for something affordable and visited kimos after it was recommended to us by a friend who got her fridge there. We were able to find a Frigidaire stacking washer and dryer pair for a very reasonable price! The washer dryer worked beautifully and fit perfect in our space. One day we were having an issue with our washer and even though we were just outside of our warranty the owner went out of his way to send a tech to make sure everything was sorted out and we are so grateful. They also " replaced" my broken machine with one they already previously had to take back due to an electrical smell when I use it. They told me to stop using the washing machine immediately and wait for them to come and replace it. They brought me a new machine, nothing but problems. Their solution was to replace it with the first one they had to take back from me. Worst of all, the electrical smell is even worse! We tried getting in touch with the delivery guy, and just five minutes after he left he blocked our number. SHADY SHADY SHADY!!! Just buy new people! We went to Lowe's yesterday purchased a washer dryer and new fridge for $3300 out the door! Brand new, top of the line! Everyone told us to buying you in order to avoid these issues. DO NOT SIGN THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY!!!! EVER!!!!! I purchased a used fridge on 3/18/2018 for $350 and while the fridge is fine and was good deal, they did way more $350 worth of damage to our floors and will not pay for any part of repairing it. Our new (to us) fridge was delivered on 3/23/2018 by George and Juan and our old fridge was taken by them as well. On they day I purchased the fridge, 3/18 I paid for delivery. When the truck arrived on 3/23, George made me sign a release of liability form, which was not mentioned at all at the time I paid for the delivery. This was my big mistake. Whatever you do, do not sign that form. As George gave the fridge a final push into spot in the kitchen I heard a scratch noise and went to see that our floor was scratched pretty bad right under the fridge. Then I looked closer and saw that they had scratched our floors from the entry-way to our unit through the breakfast room all the way to the fridges final spot. George acknowledged scratching the floors and told me to call the owner who had insurance for these things. When I talked the owner the following Monday he gave me his insurance information but because of the release of liability form I signed, they are off the hook. Long story short, the estimate to fix our travertine floors is $2400! So, fine, they did everything "legally", but if you want to risk serious damage to your home in order to save a penny on the cost of the appliance, that is up to you. They DO NOT CARE if they damage your home. They have never offered to compensate me partially, or even compensate me for the delivery costs. Terrible terrible business practice. So again, buyer be ware, they do not care if they damage your home in the process of delivering your appliance. See pictures. read more

This place is amazing! A few years ago I found them when I was shopping for a refrigerador. I got a brand new floor model refrigerator with a few dents in it for hundreds off what it would have cost at Best Buy. Recently, I had a leak in my washing machine that was purchased 10 years ago brand new. I got it from Home Depot or some where. I called Kimo's and they sent a tech out to fix it. They could have told me I need a new washing machine, and I would have been like.... "ok"and paid for a new one because I'm a fool like that. They were honest and fixed a hose clamp internally and only charged me the fee for them to send a tech out ($100 for new customers; $50 for repeat customers). This is an awesome small business and I will always call them for my appliance needs. read more

Let me start by saying, this is only my 4th review in many years using Yelp. But I wanted to share an all-around positive experience with Kimo's Appliances. About 10 weeks ago, we bought a used washer and dryer from KA. Found the units on their website, called about availability and drove to their store (clean, well-lit, well organized, huge selection of used appliances -- all of which appeared to be in great, refurb condition). The great first impression continued when I started talking to James who answered all of my questions, shared his point-of-view and made recommendations. I ended up buying the units I had come for. Contract, delivery set-up ... all easy. The actual delivery (and haul-away) went off without a hitch as well. The 90-Day-warranty was a nice-to-have, of course. So far. So good. On to: Better. About a week ago, the washer stopped working and I ended up calling them, not knowing how difficult it might be to have that 90-Day-warranty honored. Turns out there was no need to worry: two repair guys showed 2 days later, identified the issue (a contact gone bad), swapped out the part ... and were on their way again, 10 minutes later. Saw appliances listed in CL. Saw pics... seemed like a "scratch and den't" place. Has a website and phone number. It's basically a really large storage unit that he operates out of (actually probably a really small commercial unit). The guy said (of the half dozen washer/dryer sets) most of what he had was already sold. He said he could order more and that "they retail at about $800/ea". I asked him what he was selling them for -- posted on CL for $600/set -- he said again "they retail at about $800/ea". I asked again and he replied the same. So I left. I would recommend heading over and working with Kimo's if you're in need of a second hand appliance or possibly if you already have an appliance you might be able to have fixed. Their tech fixed my LG front loader washer back to operating like new after its motor inexplicably crapped out after just 5 yrs of very light use and 4 other appliance shops I approached before Kimo's left me high and dry. There is so much wrong with this place I can't even begin. You are better off buying new. I got a new washer and dryer for the same price they were charging for used. The appliances they sell are put together using parts from different appliances. Frankenstein appliances would be a better name for them. When they deliver your appliance, they ask you to sign a waiver that states, if they damage anything in your home during installation that they are NOT responsible for the cost to repair, lol. Two years ago, I found Kimo Appliances on the internet, I saw they had really great prices for used appliances. I needed an inexpensive washer and dryer, so I decided to go down and see the merchandise, most of it was nicely refurbished appliances, what sold me was that they had a 6 month warranty on their merchandise, I bought the most inexpensive washer and dryer set for $300. The appliances were delivered and installed inexpensively and professionally. But, the reason I am writing this review is that I had a minor thing wrong with the washer settings and I called the company and they came out immediately to fix it, the first fix didn't work and so I called them again and the second fix did, this was all free, under the warranty. I just bought another washer and dryer set and fridge as I sold the other ones when I moved into an apartment. The reason I came back is that I know the owner of this company is honest, they have unbelievable customer service and their prices are amazing. read more

I needed a gas dryer that could be delivered. I didn't want to pay too much and I was tired of getting jerked around on Craigslist. So I found Kimo's. Turns out it was just a few blocks from my house and so I drove over for a look-see. I walked in and was pleasantly greeted by an employee, I asked to look at inexpensive gas dryers. I was taken into a very clean showroom (just concrete floors and white walls, but spotless). Shown 5 different models all in great used condition. I picked one out, paid and was told delivery would be between 3-5 that same day! At 3:15pm, a delivery truck pulled up and two nice delivery guys shook my hand and dropped off and hooked up my new (to me) dryer. They took away my old dryer too. No charge for delivery or hook-up! (Within a 3mi. radius, though their delivery fees did seem reasonable) I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the store, the product I purchased and the quick, efficient customer service I received from Kimo's. I would highly recommend you check here before buying any new appliance. All of their used appliances have a 90 warranty too! Who does that on used stuff!? These guys! They also delivery in a 50mi radius, so if you live far away but still want a great deal...call these guys up! read more

If you need an appliance, go to Kimo's. They have very good prices, an excellent warranty, and they can get you pretty much anything you want if they don't have it in stock. That's all good but what's most impressive is that they will bend over backwards to make you happy. We bought the exact fridge we wanted from Kimos but after about a week with the fridge in our house we realized it wasn't the right choice. Kimo worked with us to swap it out and get us what we really needed. I can't say enough about how easy he was to work with. One Yelper commented that she was turned off by the showroom which is in a warehouse district. I had no issues with this setup. If I was in the business of moving appliances and keeping overhead as low as possible to offer my customers the best prices I would do the same thing. The space is clean and efficient and you can check out a lot of appliances quickly. The only downside is that Kimo's is good at what they do and they sell through existing inventory quickly. This is the worst place of business to work with. They are dishonest salesmen and lack customer service skills especially during COVID-19. We wanted our dryer sold for $675.00 originally as it was almost brand new condition. While we understand that it's possible to sell for this price, we were willing to sell for less than half at $200. They offered us a quote of $50 and free pickup to haul away our washer & dryer. $50 is such a lowball offer considering the condition of the dryer and the fact it was a new purchase. Additionally, when we tried to get back to them stating that we accept their offer, they went back on their word and revoked the $50 asking if they could have the dryer for free. Don't bother selling your appliances to this business. They do such a bait and switch. I had a working washer that they picked up and offered $50 for, once they verified it worked. But then I got the call it didn't work 'well enough' for them to buy it. And I could choose to come take it back or let them 'dispose' of it. Isn't that what they do? Fix up a used appliance to re-sell? I get if it totally wasn't working and would cost too much to fix. But it totally was working. The only reason they get any stars is because they were prompt and picked up when they said they would. And they did pay the $50 they quoted for the also-running dryer.
