I've been a customer for Kim's Beauty Design for 9 years now. I highly recommend this salon! Kim is the owner and always so accommodating, and is also really quick at what she does which makes it SO MUCH BETTER. You're not stuck at the salon for 6 hours. I personally now use Kimmie, her daughter who also does everything Kim can do except the tattoos for facial features. Kimmie has been the one to get my hair in the process to get blonde. They don't care about money in a good way, they will not bleach your hair if it's not ready yet. Kimmie has given me a lot of advice on my hair and I'm thankful she cares for it as much as I do. This was honestly such a terrible experience, I had to leave a review. I don't usually do this, but I don't want anyone else to go through what we did. My daughter went in for a haircut here, and it was an hour before closing. Kim, the stylist, agreed to take her as a walk-in, but she rushed through the whole thing. The haircut was awful--uneven and choppy, just a mess. She charged $60 for it, and it was so bad my daughter came home in tears. To make it worse, Kim was so careless she actually injured my daughter's brow while cutting her hair, and didn't even apologize. She just had this "too bad, so sad" attitude about it. Honestly, I feel like Kim took advantage of the situation because my daughter is super polite and doesn't make a fuss. Thankfully, we were able to get an appointment at James Joseph Salon in Medford, and Diana there was amazing. She fixed my daughter's hair and was so kind and professional. Highly recommend avoiding this place and going somewhere that actually cares about their work! read more

I love it here!!! I've been going to Kim's beauty design for over 15 years for my eyebrows. They always make absolutely everybody feel welcomed. It's been a while since I've treated myself and did something fun with my hair. Kimmy took me in and did an amazing " Mommy Makeover"! Lol She killed it! When I walked in at nine in the morning she had coffee and breakfast waiting for me. Let me tell you she wasted no time getting to work. The process that needed to be done to my hair was going to take a while. So she asked me if I was into any shows and played shows on the TV she knew I'd be into. While my hair was being processed she went ahead and did my nails. And encourage me to try something new! So I DID !!! After hair and nails you know she had to bless my eyebrows!!! I am an absolute cheapskate when it comes to getting my hair cut and I took a chance going to Kim's Beauty Design. The staff were friendly and there was no wait for a walk-in. The haircut that I got was fantastic and I only paid $13 for it! What a steal! I have gone back because they have excellent prices AND they have a loyalty program. I definitely recommend this salon for affordable haircuts. They also definitely understand Asian hair so that was a plus for me. read more
