I am going there for haircuts for almost 4 years already. Usually just on my lunch hour - Walk-in without making an appointment. Works perfect. Kim (the owner) and Sue (second hairdresser) are very good. Both. they are doing magic things with haircuts. I've been here twice and really like the level of service and care I receive. I've only done the regular mani/pedi, but for the price, I've always felt nicely taken care of. Coco gives a solid manicure and pedicure, and I've never seen anyone leave unhappy. read more

Kim's Salon is great. I trust to get a haircut from anyone in the salon and they all have different people for different styles of hair. Kim the owner gives amazing haircuts that grow out so well I don't need a hair cut for ages. I usually do locks for love every two years and this year I haven't needed a haircut for six months and it's growing out great. My entire family has been going here for 12 years and it's been wonderful. They also do eyebrow waxes and those have been great as well. Everyone is so nice and helpful and I still come here from Boston to get my haircut. They are busy on the weekends so make an appt. read more

My daughter wanted pretty curls for her spring concert & after many tries, she couldn't get it by herself! I took her to Kim's Salon & the owner was so very patient with her! It took 90 mins to curl her hair since she has soooooo much hair & at the end, my daughter was all smiles! Talk about professional touch! My boys usually go to Ms. Grace for their haircut & they love her! I strongly recommend anyone to try this place! So professional & they've been in business for many yrs! read more

I recently found an old gift certificate from Kim's and stopped by to see if the owner would honor it. It was OLD and had a 6 month expiration date, but the ownership of the salon is still the same. I spoke to the owner who refused the certificate. Although they are legally correct, since it is the same owner and they do have the money paid for the certificate, it seems to me that it would only be good business sense for them to accept it even now... they might have gained a recurring customer instead of someone who will never recommend them to anyone! read more

I've been going there for a long time. Even though most of the time I'm not satisfied with my cut at the end, I keep going back because it's so convenient for me. . Today was the last straw. The owner, Kim, is very unprofessional and fake. When you walk in she smiles big and says hello loudly and then talks about you when you walk away. When Kim cuts my hair she never listens to what I ask her to do. She says, "yeah,yeah,yeah" but then does something totally different and tries to convince me that it's beautiful. She thinks her patrons are stupid. She even tells you how much you're supposed to tip. I don't believe she's allowed to do that! Sadly the girls that work there are great and do try their best for you. As the owner she should do better. She's lost my business. read more

I don't understand how this place was given 4 and 5 stars. I will never return after asking for a simple blow out. When I first I asked if Kim (the owner) is able to do a blow out; she said yes. The hair dryer she used sounded like there was something wrong with it and didn't feel as if it was actually drying my hair properly. She kept knocking me in the head with the hair dryer and constantly yanked hard on my hair with the brush- it seems as if she has absolutely no experience blow drying hair. In the middle of drying my hair, I see Kim reach over for the flat iron and I asked if she was planning on using it on me; she answered yes. I reminded her that I am not paying to have my hair flat ironed; that I requested a blow out. She then said she wouldn't use the flat iron and continued drying my hair. When she was done, I asked for very little hair spray and she sprayed an extreme amount in my hair (and into my face), I then asked to see the back of my hair so she grabs a small mirror and places it up to the back of my head making it difficult to view the back. I asked her for the mirror and asked to be turned around so I can view the back of my hair using the larger mirror; she spins me and leaves me sideways; I had to ask her- again- to please turn me so that I can properly view the back of my head. When she finally did I saw my hair had pieces unstraightened and was very unsmooth. I then went to pay and handed her my VISA card which they accept and she asked me if I have cash instead; I asked her why and she said because she just wants cash (very odd and rude I feel). As I'm signing the receipt and I begin to put things into my wallet, before giving me a chance to tip the woman who washed my hair, she immediately requested that I tip her, I couldn't believe this owner actually asked me to be sure I tip her which to me is absolutely rude of an owner to do. Give me a chance to get myself together, especially after experiencing a horrible blow out which is relatively simple to do for anyone who is experienced in the salon industry. read more

After a year, my hair is still a mess. I've gone to another salon but I am still really upset about what Kim's did to my hair. I thought after a year I would be beyond this haphazard haircut that looks like a child ran a scissor through my hair, but I'm still not over it. Various pieces of my hair are still at different lengths, many incredibly short. I will never go back here. After leaving tears and the hairdresser getting defensive, I cannot think of a more unprofessional business. If you love your hair, go somewhere else. read more
