They were able to make it very mild for me since I don't usually go for spicy things & it was delicious! (Bonus points: they even have a brown rice option if you'd like) It was only $7.50+ tax which is great because it's a very generous portion! I work next door so I eat here often. The food is good, reasonably priced, and Jackie is super friendly. The breakfast burritos are very filling, just order before 9am. There's a variety of sandwiches and Jackie's really flexible with substitutions if you have food allergies. All types of snacks are available too. Kim's Deli, is a mom and pop shop located in the business area of Mira Mesa. I enjoyed their spicy mayo salmon poke bowl. Wow, it was a amazing and I'm already craving it again. Their spin on poke bowls is great. It is a fusion between a typical poke bowl with a Korean Bibimbap pizazz. Best poke I've had in San Diego by far if that's what you're down for. Of course the downside is that they are only open during the usual business hours, if they were open later I would get it for lunch and dinner everyday. I read about their Salmon Bowl special and since I came in today, I was lucky enough to try this dish myself. It so sooo good! The vegtables were made fresh and I loved the steamed white rice! I do agree with Jackie E that there should be a little more salmon and a little less of everything else. I plan on trying out their Egg Delight sandwich tomorrow and hopefully one of these days something from their breakfast menu. Wow. GREAT spicy tuna bowl! I was afraid it was too hyped up. My husband said he used to eat at this random Asian place that was like a deli but they had a huge and spicy spicy tuna bowl. I found it easily on yelp, but it was a bit tricky to find in person. The service was fast and friendly and the menu had a lot of other stuff I would like to come back and try (too bad they close so early!). I got the bowl with brown rice and the proportion of tuna to rice to veg ratio was just right. Squeeze the lemon wedge and put a scoop of sriracha in the sauce and drizzle it all over, sprinkle with seaweed, and it's perfect. I don't know what the secret is; it seems so simple! But this spicy tuna bowl hit the spot. I had been craving spicy tuna bowls and went to Fukada in Irvine recently, and in San Diego I get ones from Nijiya, and I had one as a combo with some ramen at Ramen Yamadaya...Fukada's had been my long standing fav, but this one is going to be my new go-to. Salmon bowl! OMG what is in the salmon bowl sauce!? It's not quite ponzu, not quiet soy, but something magical in between. The dish is a deconstructed version of a salmon roll. Went here while checking out a few breweries in the area. Had the teriyaki chicken bowl, it was alright. I suspect the chicken was boiled, I prefer grilled in this dish, gives the meat a good crunch.
