My husband found his omelette to be very greasy because of the large chunks of sausage inside. The biscuits were not what I expected but they were very good. The gravy was not very well seasoned and tasted kind of flat. They did a great job keeping the coffee mug filled and making sure that we didn't need anything else. We will probably return because the location is convenient to the cancer center and service is very good. At that point, we were told it would be at least another hour before service would begin. I was with a large party, including two kids, and we couldn't wait that long on a Sunday morning of May 31. To make matters more frustrating, several other potential customers stopped by during this time only to be turned away. There seemed to be a lot of confusion and no clear communication about whether the business was actually open or able to operate, and the staff who did interact with us didn't seem very engaged in helping. I understand that technical issues and maintenance problems can happen, but as a first impression, this was disappointing. Based on this experience, I'm not sure I would make the effort to return to this location. The menu and pricing still look promising, and I would genuinely like to try the food someday, but it would likely be at a different location.

It was also nice to sit somewhere that wasn't overly crowded--made the whole experience more relaxed. The food is simple, but good--and the prices are very reasonable, which I always appreciate. I switched it up this time and tried the burger instead of my usual Italian club (which my fiancé ordered), and it did not disappoint. The burger was solid and the fries were really good. One small thing--I remember the bread being toasted the first time I came, and it didn't seem like it was this time. Not a big deal, but something I'll probably double-check on my next visit. Overall, Jay's Daily is a dependable spot for a quick, easy lunch. Definitely one of those places you can count on when you just want something good without the fuss.
