We got grilled pork (which I liked since it was tender and not too chewy), drunken noodles (which had the ideal texture), money bags (which had a funny name but were delicious), sticky rice, and dumplings. Honestly love this spot. Whenever I find myself in the Heights at a brewery or a bar, we almost always come here for dinner. I typically get the drunken noodles with shrimp, which is the most mouthwatering dish ever. I literally moan while I eat this because it's so good. Last time we came, my husband ordered the Thai Basil Chicken in medium spice. Which I knew would be too much for him because he thinks Hot Cheetos are spicy. Sure enough my mans was SWEATING. Our server took notice and he brought him a Thai Tea on the house to help with the burn. Such a sweet gesture and the drink was yummy. Tasteless foods! Bad drinks that all I can say. Went there with my husband yesterday. Nothing tasted Thai to me. We had all in one appetizers tray and flower dumpling; none of them were good. It took them 40 mins later to bring our main dishes (I ordered curry noodles soup for god sake). Was going to cancel and check out but the waitress told us they were ready and coming ( the soup was cold and so the taste) they may can fool people by paying for those food bloggers' reviews or $500 reviews contest but houstonian are so much better than that. Came here for happy hour and really enjoyed it. Started with the chicken wings and pork belly skewers, both of which are $8 on happy hour. The sauce on the pork belly was so flavorful and it was perfectly grilled. Chicken wings were also great. Super crispy! My order came out wrong and instead of them taking it away and (presumably) throwing it in the trash, they let me keep it. So I ended up with lunch for the next day! I visited this place for the first time during their one year anniversary. It was really a great experience. The performances and red carpet were a great way to celebrate. I ordered the glass noodles and they were delicious. My friend ordered the panang curry and she said it was 5/5. I often struggle to find places that are not 100% vegan for my non vegan friends so we can all eat well. This place has many vegan options or dishes you can make vegan. I'll definitely be back. Delicious! My best friend happened to tell me about this place and we met up for lunch today. Let me start with the interior, it's gorgeous. It's a very fun but classy restaurant with not cheesy Thai theme. All of the utensils are gold, and the cups are all lined in gold which is really beautifully decadent. The waitress was very friendly and the food was amazing. We started with the appetizer called all in one. It had chicken satay, pork Satay, the money bags and meatballs. I kind of didn't want to share it because it was so delicious Then we shared the chicken Pad Thai. It came wrapped in an egg, exactly like they do in Thailand. The flavor was really good and again I was kind of upset that I had to share it with my best friend because I would have eaten the whole plate by myself. Where to even begin? I had a reservation for 5 for Father's Day. When we got there, about 8 people were standing at the front desk that hadn't been checked in and the hostess was nowhere to be found. The manager was running around trying to help wait tables instead of help attending the empty front desk. After 20 minutes of sitting those without reservations before us, we were finally directed to our table. I say directed because the hostess literally just motioned toward the empty table, leaving us with no menu (other tables had physical menus) or directions of how to retrieve it. After another 10 minutes a busboy dropped off our water in plastic cups (everyone in the restaurant besides us had glasses. It was later explained to us that they just ran out). We waited another 10 minutes before the waitress finally arrived. Just before she came we found the dime-sized QR code for the menu hidden away on a two-sided advertisement. Without any greeting or apology for the wait, the waitress hurriedly asked what we wanted and seems impatient that it took us a second, having just found the menu. We panic-picked drinks and an appetizer, then had to wait another 15 minutes before she came back to take our food order. The food itself was hit and miss. A couple of the dishes lacked flavor and seasoning. Overall it was decent but certainly not up to par with comparable to some of the better Thai restaurants in Houston. Obviously they were short staffed, but most of these issues could have been understood and solved with communication. The staff was out in a tough spot and collectively chose to avoid the problem instead of addressing it. The hostess could have made sure the waitress came right away after the delayed sitting and made sure we had access to the menu. The waitress could have been more attentive given most of the restaurant emptied shortly after we sat. The manager could have checked on us when he dropped off our food instead of avoiding. As things slowed the manager and hostess sat at the front of the restaurant on their phones while our waitress cleaned tables. To end the night, the waitress stood over my shoulder as I used the credit card machine to tip and review. It's extra awkward giving the thumbs down for service on the review step when the waitress is staring right at the screen. We really wanted to be return customers here, but the poor management and training just left a bad taste in our mouths that the mediocre food couldn't make up for. read more

My friend and I came here for the first time and were left disappointed with the experience. The 2 stars are for the 2 cocktails we ordered because they were good. As for the dishes, they were mediocre for the price. Definitely not authentic Thai food. The food we ordered, penang curry and pad thai, came out SUPER fast, 5-10 mins after putting the order in which was very suspicious. We were shocked. The dishes were cold, not even room temperature, so we believe they either make popular dishes beforehand or gave us food from another table that gave it back and forgot to microwave it before giving it to us. The live music was super loud that it was hard to have a conversation with each other. Nevertheless, we probably won't come again. Came here for dinner and sat on their outdoor patio. Instead of ordering off the HRW menu, we decided to do family style instead to have a variety of different options. The entrees on the HRW menu didn't really appeal to us. For appetizers, we ordered the "all in" which was a sampler of 5 different appetizers-the money bags, chicken cups, pork skewers, pork meatballs, and chicken skewers. The table favorite was the pork skewers. They were tender and very flavorful. The chicken skewers were a close favorite but one skewer was drier than the other. The peanut sauce was really good though and helped with the dryness of the chicken. For the entrees we got the combo pad Thai and the casseroled shrimp. We also liked the combo pad Thai better cause it had more flavor and depth. The casseroled shrimp wasn't bad but I would have liked some extra oomph or seasoning to help balance out the dish. This restaurant is so unorganized. Made a reservation through Open table and when we were running late tried to call the restaurant to notify them that we wanted to move our reservation back. Their automated answering machine direct us to revert to the open table app to make any changes. When we access the reservation through open table the message was to call the restaurant for any changes. When we got there they end up giving our table away. The food is okay but not great enough for me to go back and deal with how unorganized they are. Take my business to Thai Garden instead. read more
