We stopped here because we were nearby for an event. It's really more of a bar with food, but the food was pretty good. I'm doing 75 hard so can't speak to the drinks, but they seemed to have a good selection. Service was friendly. Overall, it didn't wow me enough to intentionally travel to come back to, but can make for a nice stop if you're in the area.

Say No Mas is exactly what 20th Street needed, bringing Tex-Mex flavors and a fun, open air bar the heights area. Unlike many of the neighboring bars on this street, Say No Mas stays true to its identity with several tequila, mezcal and licor 43 forward house cocktails. The large half circle bar under a lofted pergola feels a like a vacation escape and is great spot to people watch bar goers on a Friday night. While 20th Street always feels pretty young, a bouncer checks IDs on entrance. I didn't try any food this evening but I'm excited to see where this place goes.

They just opened, so I'll be nice and overlook a couple small hiccups for now. Here's the breakdown: Good: Great music, stylish design, and vacation vibes, the kind that transports you straight out of Houston to a beach restaurant in Miami or Cozumel. Food was decent, definitely a fun spot for a casual night out prior to checking out all the bars on the same street Not So Good: - $20 for parking is a bit of a turnoff. Most restaurants, especially on busy streets, still offer complimentary parking or validation. This felt a little out of place. - Automatic 20% gratuity for a table of two was unexpected, especially given that service wasn't particularly great. I usually tip 20% anyway, but it's worth mentioning, especially for those who might not catch it and end up double tipping (like I have in the past). I live nearby, so I'll definitely give them another shot soon after they've had some time to settle in and will try some of their cocktails. Hopefully, the next visit earns that 5th star instead of losing more.

Food and service was spot on. Everything tasted homemade and fresh. We ordered the street tacos and I now crave them. The bartender was attentive and super friendly with free samples of pina colada (which actually has liquor) and his michelada mix. Both were excellent. The vibe is where it's at. I feel like I'm at a resort in Mexico! Highly recommend!

Warning. They add 20% auto tip to your bill instead of just increasing the prices 20%. This is unacceptable and a deceptive practice.

The DJ was also bumpin'! Song choices were fitting and he mixed the music seamlessly which made the vibes so much more fun. We loved the Prosciutto Flatbread, the toppings were generous and the crust was perfectly chewy but crispy. We also got the Papas Bravas, which was pretty standard. For drinks, we got the Situationship, Lychee Lemon Drop, Smooth Operator, and Blue Tile IPA. All the cocktails were very tasty and perfectly balanced. Food and drinks here are definitely on the pricier side for a typical Houston bar.

Crysta, the Manager, was wonderful to work with and had our space set up beautifully, including a personalized menu, saxophonist and great DJ, that made the event feel extra special. Cristian, our server, took such great care of us and our guests all night and made sure everything ran smoothly. Jordan, the videographer/content creator, was also capturing special moments throughout the evening, which was such a nice touch. I would 100% recommend Plume for events or a night out, and we will definitely be back!

I would like to preface, this isn't a cheap quick dinner restaurant but I highly recommend coming at least once. We found it on the Michelin guide. I love the inside of the restaurant, the layout is fun and intimate. *grilled oysters were good. The flavor from the n'duja with the bits of pecan was something I would never think to pair. Great start! * elk tartare was surprisingly amazing. I always find tartare to be a tough dish to make outstanding and with elk I was hesitant to try but happy we tried it. The plate was cleaned by the time we finished. The cracker was light and paired well with it. * maitake mushrooms were so good that we had to split it evenly so no one got an unfair amount lol The sauce is like a coffee/caramel/chocolately savory sauce. Mt description doesn't do it justice. It's umami but has a caramelized feel. Just get it! * pork chop was the best pork chop we've had. We typically order steak over pork chops at restaurants but heard great things. Tender and flavorful. I will say it's a very rich dish so be mindful of that but highly recommended * grits, this was the dark horse. It was our favorite tapa. We laugh bc we didn't think grits would be the fav, out of all the amazing dishes. But the beef cheek underneath the silky grits... YUM! I'll be craving them *basque cheesecake was good but not the best we've had. But it's also hard to compete with all the other dishes we had

This is a bit of a dated review, but we came here for a Valentine's dinner as a special occasion. We got seats at the bar counter behind the fire (which to me was the best seat in the house) so we could be close to the action. One thing you'll notice is that the place is quite loud, I think which owes to the low ceilings (so don't expect like a quiet and romantic vibe). The meal started out great with the bread and butter - bread was sourced from Magnol, which was a huge green flag to start. The oysters were extremely fresh and absolutely delicious. We also had a dish with tuna over crispy rice which was my fiancee's favorite of the night. My personal favorite was the salad (I know that is crazy to say at a restaurant that specializes in live fire cooking) - but the way they zested all different types of citrus/lemons, peppers, chiles, and the way the herbs they put into it, created what was one of the most memorable salads I have ever had. All in all the food was excellent. Service was great (the night we were there, Max Lappe was there sending out food to customers himself). I do kind of wish the atmosphere was a little more quiet. With that said, expect to spend around $200pp (we did share a bottle of wine though).

Personally main dinning space looked dark so bar was ideal. We tried 4 different types of specialty cocktails, if you come at happy hour they are $3 off. These are craft cocktails, extremely extremely delicious. My favorites were the cocktail with beet and the cocktail with coconut and turmeric. Food was fantastic!! I loved how they served it in waves and not all at the same time. It felt more like a culinary experience. We had the cucumber salad which is a must. Followed by corn, which is good and totally unlike anything I've ever had before. Then the red fish which was sooooo good. Then the pork shoulder with coconut rice and together that was to die for. Plus the salt and vinegar potato's which I'd gladly have as a snack anytime. So so good!! Would come back honestly every week if I could!

The green curry (2.5/5) and broccolini (2/5) were both a little undercooked and lacked flavor for my liking. The cocktails were a standout for me, beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Parking: Tons of parking here surprisingly, both a paved lot and a pebble lot. We had a reservation for 3 at 7PM and were promptly seated at a booth after a small line of people. Order-to-Appetizer: 15 Minutes Order-to-Entrees: 30 MInutes For three people, we ordered: Dairymaid's Cheese Board (4/5): Comes with four cheeses, five small pieces of sourdough, honey-spritzed grapes, green Granny Smith apples, and fava beans. I wish they gave us more bread with the cheeses and preserves. The four cheeses provided were slices of a five-year aged Cheddar, Oveja Anejo, Tomarashi, and Gruyere. I enjoyed the Tomarashi the most. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but very sharable and a great starter. Shady Acres Pizza with prosciutto (3.5/5): I really don't like getting thin crust pizza that isn't crispy, and unfortunately this was a soggy thin crust pizza. The toppings themselves were very flavorful, and the end parts were crispy enough. 5 Cheese Calzone with chicken (3.5/5): Whew, five cheeses makes for a salty calzone. The side marinara sauce provides a good balance. It's very filling. Chicken might have been a good addition because prosciutto might have made it too salty. It was larger than expected which was nice for sharability. Service was kind of iffy. They were pretty rude with not providing us utensils and seeming almost angry that we asked for some for the cheese board. They mixed up our order (we asked for chicken on the pizza and prosciutto on the calzone and they flipped it) and seemed almost apologetically serving us afterwards. Overall, would recommend as a relaxed date spot at a reasonable price. I paid via inKind and applied referral credit with no issues. Would come back with inKind credit, probably not at full price.
