Sakura was one that opened at 11am so we could have lunch around 12noon so we gave it a try. We ordered the Sushi & Sashimi Combo One, Rainbow roll, Seaweed salad and Edamame. The fish was very fresh for the sushi we ordered. I loved the aesthetics and taste of the sliced lemons in the combo dish. Great variety with salmon, tuna, red snapper and escolar. The one little hiccup on the tuna was the cut we had included the veiny parts. The rice on the california roll was a bit on the dry side as well. Other than that, the food was good quality. Thankfully, the edamame came with no salt as my husband has high blood pressure but had forgotten to give those instructions. It seemed that not only did Sakura have Japanese food but the menu also seemed to have some Chinese or Thai dishes as well so I'm looking forward to trying more. read more

We stumbled across this cute place and was quickly welcomed inside. We chose our own booth and was greeted with cups of water and menus. We started off with egg rolls and gyoza while looking over the menu. We decided on some sushi rolls and a habachi plate. The Yummy roll as well as the San Antonio roll were fresh and hit the spot. The steak and chicken plate was cooked perfectly and disappeared just as fast as it arrived. We also had the wonton and miso soup which were just soul warming. I was feelin sushi and google maps showed me this place. Came in Saturday before 8pm (they close 9:30) the place pretty empty but we were seated no problem. Soon realize they are really busy with online orders and phone orders, but seemed like 2 people working (could be 1 more not sure). We got our drinks, orders taken promptly. Ok so I have come here several times. The first time, I had a dish that I did not know was as spicy as it came. I was sweating. Then the second time coming, I had the chicken panang (if you know panang, there's a specific flavor that is amazing if done right but when NOT, it could taste like fishy mop water) sorry. I was driving home from work and the wife called and asked me to pick up dinner. I have been meaning to try this new Asia place out so I figured this was the perfect time. I walked in and asked for an order Togo, I used their scan code and pulled up their menu... I got the wife Orange chicken, noodles and egg rolls And for myself, I got the mushroom chicken w/steamed rice and egg rolls. The order came to about $32. I returned to my vehicle and waited in the parking lot, my preference and not mandated due to covid. A staff working brought me out my order and I took it home. Everything was accurate and they also included an extra order of fried rice for us (yea) We both really enjoyed our meals especially the egg rolls, they were perfectly cooked and tasted great. I think he may have been new. The thing that I didn't like was that the two entrees came about ten minutes apart. We like to eat our food together. The server dropped off the salt and pepper shrimp and then said that the roll would take longer because the shrimp needs to be fried. I'm pretty sure the salt pepper shrimp were fried too? The hibachi teriyaki chicken had no teriyaki sauce and was completely bland. The sweet and sour pork sauce was watery and flavorless--more like orange-colored liquid than an actual sauce. To top it off, my order was missing the miso soup. When a restaurant carries the name of a cuisine, it should at least attempt to honor its flavors. This was an epic letdown. The soups are also a great start. The egg drop is a traditional American take and perfectly cooked, not overly salty or running. While the food was good the bill came out to $21 and some change. I added a tip of $3 and some change to equal out $25 even. A few days later, I checked my credit card statement to see that they added an additional $10 to the statement for a grand total of $35. My friend went this afternoon with her daughter, and grandmother. Around 1:45, left at 230. They picked me up the Sakura hibachi chicken Teriyaki, that I had requested fried rice and eggroll, and came with Miso soup. Firstly, the chicken was breastmeat, and completely dried out, and no sauce, total of 8 squared peices. Like Jerkey meat. Tried to revive by boiling in water to bring back some of the moisture because it was so dry. Had to make my own teriyaki sauce to hopefully add moisture The fried rice was a joke. Just regular white rice they added soy sause and egg. Not fried so I had to fix that too, refry veggies and then fry the rice myself. I have heard so many wonderful reviews on this restaurant. And if this is the quality they are putting out, we will not ever be patrons. Because its beyond sub par at best. Only thing good was the eggrolls. Didn't know what I was in the mood for in a Friday night so I scrolled through Yelp. Came across this place and was actually very closes by since it shares the parking lot with Sprouts. Figured I would check out their ratings and give the takeout a shot. Pretty extensive menu so they have options for everyone. I decided on the small wonton soup, seaweed salad, orange chicken, and pad woosen. Food was ready within 15-20 minutes. They do not skimp on the portions at all. See the attached pictures. Reasonable prices especially considering how much food you get. The orange chicken is very tasty and tender. The seaweed salad was seasoned well. The wonton soup was a little salty for my taste but the wontons were huge and full. The pad woosen was packed full in the container and had plenty of tofu and veggies. Overall I had a good experience and when I am craving orange chicken I will be back. Rating is 4.5 stars, it is worth a try if you are in the area. read more
