Peking roast Duck, served with buns & hoisin sauce tasty shrimp chips line the serving plate! 5 star!!!

Update : Had a dinner party for 10, New great granddaughter for 98 yr old mom. Standout dishes , Peking Duck w/ buns, love the shrimp chips as a garnish. Walnut shrimp, flavored just right.minute chicken, cake noodle, love the way they are prepared, crispy bite size pieces. Bird nest soup, perfect starter. The best is their customer service, Jason was our main server. Lisa, Jimmy & Mrs. always insure we are satisfied & taken care of! Thank you very much!Love other dishes too. Can't go wrong @ Kin Wah!

First time here and it was a great experience. We were seated very quickly. We ordered the crispy chicken and the black bean beef chow fun, and both were excellent. The food reminded me of going to the Chinese restaurants back in the day with my parents when I was a child--comforting and nostalgic in the best way. The chicken dish almost tasted like duck: the skin was perfectly crispy and the meat was moist and flavorful. I would definitely return if I'm back on the Windward side.

While the food isn't the best, the service and vibe are on point. They honestly have delicious fortune cookies. I would say that is their best thing. It is one of those nostalgic restaurants where you go and see people you know, talk story, and relax. Nothing really bad about this place for what it is.

An old school Chinese restaurant serving great Chinese comfort food! That just about sums up this restaurant in Kaneohe. I think it's time for an update, as it's been awhile since I last dined at Kin Wah Chop Suey.. So my dad had some friends visiting from out of town, so one evening I decided to take them out to the Windward side for some old school Chinese comfort food. The menu here is pretty extensive, but to make it easy on ourselves, we decided to pick a fixed dinner menu for 4 people, then I just added two extra dishes with our fixed meal. For just under $120 bucks, we got the following - Scallop Soup Kin Wah Chow Mein Roast Duck Sweet & Sour Pork Beef Broccoli Chicken w/Cashew Nut & Vegetables Steamed Fish Filet Honey Walnut Shrimp Steamed Rice The restaurant décor has seen better days, but I must say that the food was tasty, and service was quick and on point. Parking can be rough during the peak hours, as the parking lot is shared by other eatery businesses. If you're ever in the Windward side, and craving Chinese food, give Kin Wah Chop Suey a try!

Ordered one of their specials to go. Got their e-mein noodles with duck and choy sum. This was yummy and generous portion!

I called a take out order on a Sunday at lunchtime they said it would be about 15 to 20 minutes. We got there in 10 minutes and the food was just coming out. We took everything home back to Honolulu to eat. My favorite dish is their Chinese chicken salad because it is the red peanut dressing that makes it so unique to other Chinese chicken salads on the island. I'm not a fan of the chicken because it comes chopped up with skin on, but I'm able to pick out most of the skin pieces. The minute chicken cake noodles are always delicious with the fried chow mein noodles. We had a lot of other stuff, but those are the two main dishes that I like to eat. I will sometimes dry the butter melon with pork, but for the most part that is reserved for my husband and my father. If you plan to stay and eat, make sure you bring a smaller size vehicle because the parking lot is very small and limited unless you want to park out on the street.

Great tasting and great price! Beef oyster sauce chow fun is saucy and flavorful. I love the water chestnuts they add. Other dishes are all great too. Taro duck is a must have! Their steamed fish is also delicious. The side of rice is a hit or miss sometimes a little too hard.

I've been eating here for decades, I absolutely love it. They have some great Monday-Friday lunch specials. I especially like the crispy chicken/ char siu. I get it over cake noodles. I always order shrimp canton and crispy gau gee too. I have a video of my meal on my Island Jenny YouTube channel.

Decided to come here while we wait for our girl finish prom. We walked in at 730 (they close at 830) it was SUPER BUSY, but we were seated within 5 mins on the very last open table in the whole restaurant. They took our order immediately and our food came out so quick and tasted so fresh. We brought my sister and BIL as they never tried this place out and we like their food. Really there wasnt anything wrong with any of our food we ordered and everyone in our group enjoyed it. Here is what we ordered: Kau yuk: this was a little tough, but still so good Bao buns cake noodle gau gee char siu fuyoung orange chicken fried rice chicken egg plant (THIS WAS DELICIOUS) Customer Service was AMAZING. These workers here have a system and it works for them and for us as customers. If you're in Kaneohe and wanting Chinese, I highly recommend coming here :))

I'm born and raised in Kaneohe so kin wah was always the go to spot for my entire family! After I got married it became my wife's favorite and my mother in law's as well. Wife and I was having her car serviced so kin wah is close by so we walked over and had brunch! Food is always so tasty and fresh. Service is always fast and friendly, place is clean and comfortable.

This is my good to place for Chinese when I'm at Kaneohe. The parking is tight when it's busy. My favorites is Chinese chicken salad, eggplants with pork, bird nest soup and the black beans with clams. Service is great. It's a mom and pop restaurant. Love the food there and thinking of driving down to pick up some awesome Chinese. The place is clean and they have restrooms. If you're at Kaneohe go check them out. Pick up some pecking duck and gau gee to go also.

    Kristen D.

I've been coming here since I was a kid and I'm never disappointed. Food is always hot, even when we get take out. My favorite is their eggplant with pork, and their squid with black bean sauce on cake noodle. Take out is always pretty quick if you call ahead, and always so happy that the take out food is very hot when I receive it. The staff are all the same & very kind. Parking can be tricky during peak hours but most times can kind parking in the shopping center lot.

Everyone says if you're in Kaneohe you must try Kin Wah! Came on a weekend for lunch. We were seated immediately. Most of the tables were filled with hungry customers. We looked over the menu and decided on Egg Fu Yong, Pork Choy Sum, Crispy Gau Gee Cake Noodle, Steamed Fish Filet with and Ginger Scallion. It was a lot for two of us so we packed it up and took it home. Food and service is like any average Chop Sui Restaurant.

I go there once a month to buy food to take to my mom, who lives in a foster care home. It's usually egg flower soup, stuffed tofu with pork, beef chow mein or shrimp fried rice and sometimes a chicken dish. I order online, usually at 9am, for pick-up at 10:30. The staff are nice and friendly, which isn't always the case at a Chinese restaurant. BTW, don't place an online order too early; they might miss it. On a rare occasion, I would add a dinner plate for myself. It's on par with one I get from Golden Duck on King St. I prefer the food at K***** on the other side of Kaneohe but I much prefer the parking at New Mui Kwai. Plus, it's much closer to my home and more convenient when visiting my mom. New Mui Kwai is a solid, old school Chinese restaurant. I'll keep coming back so I suppose that's a recommendation from me. While not much was in the trays, they did have what we were looking for, so we decided to order. The man behind the counter offered us pieces of the meats hanging in the window and we knew we made the right choice. The crispy pork in the window was amazing! Between the two of us we got fried rice, crispy pork, sweet and sour pork and the broccoli beef. Everything was amazing. I was even super impressed with the fried rice which actually had flavor, and I think was cooked in sesame oil. Then we both got drinks. I got the plantation ice tea and it was so flavorful! My son got boba milk tea and said it's the best he's had on island so far. We will for sure be back!
