Originally came here to have some pho, but was blown away by the options given. They offer plate lunches that comes with miso soup and salad. You can also upgrade your meal and add on sashimi and tempura. The shrimp and vegetable tempura was my favorite!! Everything you order comes out fresh. They cook everything to order. Fast and quick service. The only down fall was when I saw the server fixing her hair by the counter in front of packed food. She was doing the most putting her hair in a bun while watching something on her phone. Also noticed white rings around the cups like they weren't thoroughly washed. I know they weren't hard water stains because I took the stain off by rubbing it with my fingers. The restaurant itself is big and looked organized and clean. Just some hygiene practices need to be enforced with the staff. First time today! My daughter visiting from Kauai and she wanted to visit her grandparents at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery. We had already planned to eat here after. I found prime parking right next to the restaurant located in the Windward shopping center. Service was great! Promptly greeted and then served our waters. Such a nice restaurant! Was around the shopping center and have been craving pho we stopped by this restaurant for lunch. You're able to choose your own seats and the server/host brings you the menu. Upon ordering we weren't greeted at all, older gentlemen just came by the table and stared at us, not a single "hello" or "what can i get for you?" just stared, it was lowkey awkward. It really depends on what you order. The rice plates are good. The wafu steak is quite delicious and enjoyable. On the other hand, the pho is not as good as the other pho restaurants that have popped up. Overall, the place is a bit pricey. It makes sense for those good rice plates, but not so much for the pho. I love coming here. I'm a Vegan and I had a few Vegan broth Pho and to be honest other places, their broth is tasteless and watered down not here! It was seasoned well and had a great taste and lots of veggies that were al dente. I DISLIKE mushy veggies and as you can see it's a big soup bowl that I didn't even make a dent it so portions are a lot. This is a hidden gem tucked away in the corner of Windward City Shopping Center. For those having a hankering for Asian food, this is the place to go. Their soups have a wonderful broth and are served hot. I like their pot stickers which are delivered crispy and hot. The service is very good and on our last visit, there were only 3 servers for 20 tables. Yet these folks were able to keep up with helping the guests. Highly recommend visiting this place. We decided to take our Mothers for an early, non congested night out to beat the Mother's Day rush on the weekend and this place was highly recommended. The waitress who took our order was very helpful and friendly...but once the food came out, nothing after that. Neither the initial waitress nor the man behind the bar, came back to our table. Only been here twice. Most of the food is very good, with their Spring Rolls being the highlight gor me, as they have a very flaky crunch & great flavor. Not that I have eaten the Spring Rolls from every restaurant, but these are the best I have ever had. Wife had the Ginger Basa both times, which she said was a little salty, but overall flavor was good. What I initially liked, was that I had 3 options when I ordered my BBQ Kalbi plate. I could order it as just the BBQ Kalbi, add sashimi, or add sashimi & tempura. First visit, I chose to do the triple combo. Kalbi had really good flavor to it, but could have used a little less char. The sashimi was previously frozen, which I could tell by the looks & texture. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, as sashimi can be very expensive, but my preference is always to have fresh sashimi. The menu doesn't specify either way, so while I was hoping for fresh, I'm not mad about it being previously frozen. To me, the tempura was definitely the already prepared store bought stuff, which was a little disappointing. The appearance of the shrimp & vegetables were very different, which was the dead giveaways for being the store bought stuff, and shrimp were too consistent in size & shape to be made fresh. All of it was overcooked, dark brown versus a very light yellowish color of fresh made product, and the batter for the shrimp was super hard. Definitely not going to order the sashimi or tempura ver again. Service experience was different between our 2 visits. First visit, we sat on one of the tables in front of the bar, which are stright in when you walk through the door to the restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive, so no complaints there. Second visit was a very different experience, as we sat at a table that was next to a wall at the side of the bar, which was located to the left as you enter. Aside from taking our orders, bring us our initial cups of water, and later our food, no attention at all by anyone. It should be a standard to check on your customer, to refill their water or at least check if it's needed. Unfortunately, all of the attention was only given to the customers on the tables in front of the bar. Won't make this mistake again, definitely going to sit at a table in front of the bar for any future visits. We'll definitely be back, as there are other items on the menu that we were interested in. read more

I wanted to eat their waffle steak with onions and my husband said he'll try their beef tendon pho. He said the broth was very good although some of the slice beef were chewy, fishballs were very good lots of vermicelli noodles as well. Now to the waffle steak it came our on a sizzling plate. This meal comes with rice, toss salad, miso soup. You can choose also with sashimi or tempura for a extra cost. I ordered the steak with sashimi. The steak was certain parts chewy but other parts were very good and tender. Came with onions and their sauce was with poured with shoyu sugar mixture. The sashimi was fresh the toss salad was just mainland lettuce with thin slices of carrots with Italian dressing. Miso soup was nice temp hot. The eye round steak & brisket pho had such a tasty broth that I drank the whole thing, which I have never done before for pho or ramen. There were ample veggies to add to the pho. Both meat were tender. I ordered a large size. It was enough to feed 2 people or one hungry person. The BBQ Pork & Spring Roll Vermicelli had a good amount of pork. The veggies and fish sauce was portioned well. I ordered my takeout once I reached the restaurant and only waited 10 minutes for my lunch order. There was a steady stream of take out orders picked up while I was there. It was a particularly rainy and windy day. The warm tasty pho hit the spot. It is definitely worth a visit! It was a clean and nice spot with not much people. Lots of seating available. Once inside, they greeted us and told us to grab a table. They were quick to take our order and food arrived fairly quick. The pho was so delicious. Full of flavor. My pho did not lack beef balls at all. There were so many! The meal also comes with miso soup and toss salad. The pork chops were very tasty and the meat was tender. The sashimi was super fresh, but the tempura was just OK. Honestly, the shrimp tempura reminded me of the kind you get from Costco. That's not a bad thing, but when you eat at a restaurant, you would hope that it would be a fresh batter. Cute little restaurant located inside of Windward City Shopping Center. There's bar seating towards the left of the room with 4-tops towards the middle and right side of the room. They close around 830p so you can get your last order in around 8p or so. It feels family-owned with their children and their children's friends helping service the restaurant. The food is always prepared and served in a timely manner, whether it's dine-in or take-out. But let's talk about the curry here because it is on another level! Like yellow Thai curry and Japanese curry had a baby, it is SO good! The curry has taro chunks inside, alongside carrot, onions, and potato. You can get it with chicken or shrimp. As for the pho broth, that is also so flavorful with lots of cilantro and spices to make it pop. The crab rangoons had a nice crunch, but I would've like for it to be a little bit more creamy in the center, it was a little dry for me, but lots of crab meat in there nonetheless. As for the Vietnamese coffee, it's strong and good coffee. We come here all the time now (at least 3-4 times a month), the food and service is consistent and the meal is always filling, I never leave here hungry. read more
