Had to do another review ! This Vietnamese Restaurant run by a very nice hard working husband & wife team., do a very good job making their delicious Bahn mi sandwiches & tasty , crusty egg rolls. Our favorites! Their plate lunches look wonderful! No eating in , take out only! Give them a visit!

Ordered a banh mi with only paté It may as well have been a veggie banh mi because that pate was barely even anywhere ! Just tiny dabs here & there. Plus the shrimp in the pad thai was definitely tough, old & foul smelling ! Yuck ! The Balé that used to be in the Waipahu Don Quijote made it besr ! I miss them.

A few spots in Kaneohe for Vietnamese food but this is one of my local restaurants. Friendly family run business with your typical Vietnamese service. A few spots to eat inside but majority of ppl take out. Easy parking outside and often times busy because of Adela's Country Eatery next door. Consistent food from garlic shrimp, lemongrass chicken, egg rolls, pho, etc. Always happy to support small local businesses in Kaneohe

Food is always delish! Today got a Tofu Sandwich Bánh mì and took a photo to show the size of this thing! Marinated Tofu & fresh cilantro & veggie sandwich for vegans/ veggie lovers, so flavorful. Desserts are also delightful. Friendly & fast service.

3.5 Came here for lunch on a Wednesday, we planned to come to this area for either saigon or adelas but we were planning to go to saigon anyways. It was empty, they dont have indoor seating either. We ordered the spring rolls with bbq pork vermicelli and also spring rolls with teriyaki chicken vermicelli. Each were 15.50 + tax. It came out in like 10 ish minutes we could see them cooking it. We also got the taro tapioca for 2.95. The food looked good, my family liked the egg rolls. I didnt eat it fresh tho like right away lol so it wasnt... good. I really wanted to like it but there wasnt much sauce? Or the sauce didnt have much flavor? I wish they had more of the pickles carrots and whit radish. The meat wasnt that great but it was fine. We all really liked the tapioca stuff because it was cold and had a good amount of taro and was pretty sweet but not super sweet so it was good. The couple that runs it is really nice tho, they are very friendly. I hope more people support them but its hard because they are next to a really popular place.

We went to Adela's but there was an hour wait so we decided to check this place out and I'm so glad we did. 10/10 Service 10/10 food The garlic shrimp is SO good. Curry is okay, I have had better but it's still great. I even loved the egg roll and I'm not really an egg roll person. The guy running the register today (I think he's the owner) is very nice and he's even the one to cook the food. They do only do takeout but that wasn't an issue for us. We will 100% be back here.

    Special sandwich

The pho rare beef and house special pho was ono!! Also the special sandwich too! They close 730pm, but they took my take order I called like 740pm and the guy was nice to take my order and asked if I be there 10 mins to pick up order and it was ready when I was there. Awesome service and thankful they let me order even though past 730pm.

Golden Pho is a treasure. This owner-operated restaurant makes you want to come back for more…read more That's not great for me since I'm a townie and Golden Pho is located in Kaneohe. But if I'm on the Windward side, this is my go-to, all the time. They have one of the most extensive menus I've seen in a Vietnamese joint--everything from bahn mi, to udon noodles, to curries, to pho, to noodle soups, to appetizers, to à la carte entrees, to desserts. There is something for everyone and it gives me reason to keep coming back to try different dishes. So far, I had the shrimp udon (but slurped that up so quickly I didn't get a picture), papaya salad, lemongrass tofu vermicelli, and shrimp summer rolls. Hubby enjoyed the Pho, MIL adores the pork udon. Came here on a date, with the MIL, and with friends. Received great service each time and devoured all our dishes with delight. Not one thing to complain about. Also love their variety of sauces available on the table--don't even have to ask! The coffee was delicious too. I had it black and it was rich and smooth, no bitterness at all. And I split the fried banana dessert with friends (avoided the ice cream)...which I should mention I'm pescatarian and I avoid dairy. Love a place where I can enjoy my meal along with the company of my meat-eating, dairy-drinking loved ones. Again, something for everyone. Parking is on the side of the building. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Restrooms are very clean. Worth the drive to the 96744 zip code. Will definitely be back soon!

Inside/Outside Seating: Tight seating inside but it felt cozy during the rainstorms we've been having. They also have beautiful outdoor seating too. Definitely a nice homey gem to take someone special. Food: this place is definitely underrated. The vermicelli, pho, stir fried udon, all bangers. Theres only such a handful of super good food on this side and I'm definitely adding it to my list. The food is simple no frills but it tastes like a nice homemade meal with love. I really appreciate that they don't load half of the vermicelli dish with veggies. Instead, they gave us the veggies on the side. Service: Friendly Mom and Pops ran establishment. The owners actually have several other locations in town called "Pho Viet" but each is equally as tasty in my opinion. Overall 4/5 because I've tasted the best of the best and this is close!

How lucky was that!? This "minor misfortune" of the long line resulted in my sampling an extraordinary Bahn Mi sandwich. I'll keep this short, and simply share that the lemongrass chicken version of their Bahn, was, as the kids say these days, "FIRE!" . I'm embarrassed to say that I only discovered Bahn mi sandwiches about 3 years ago, but have loved them ever since. The overall experience of chomping down on a typical Bahn mi is that the combination of textures that come from the marriage of "crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside" bread, and the soft flavorful meats and crunchy vegetables is pleasurable. But toss in the flavors that range from savory to tangy to sweet, and then off to spicy, are pretty-much as close to the definition of what a harmonious and complementary meal, that excites the tastebuds, should be. I've probably had 30 of them in my life, and I would say, Saigon Noodle puts one together that just moved into my personal favorite for this blended cultures sandwich. The owner served me, and he's one of those guys who you instantly like. It's hard to put words together to describe why he was so likable and pleasant, but on my visit, his "A-game" of friendliness and charm was on. But, even if he had a "Bahn Mi Nazi" personality, I'd still go for the sam-ich. It was really good!!

My best tip: call in your order ahead of time for pickup. If you just show up, you may be waiting 45 minutes or more, but trust me, it is worth it. We ordered the avocado pasta with Florentine and short rib, and it was heavenly. Easily one of the best flavor combinations I've had in a long time. Honestly, 6 out of 5. The portions are massive too, one plate can comfortably feed two people. We also tried the shrimp and the brisket. Both were very good, but the short rib dish completely stole the show. Everything was packed well and ready to go. My only suggestion would be to include more napkins and upgrade the utensils a bit to better match the quality of the food. The cheesecake, unfortunately, left a lot to be desired. Given how incredible the mains were, I had high expectations, but it didn't deliver. 2 out of 5. I'd skip dessert next time. Millie at the front was incredibly courteous and handled the constant stream of incoming orders calmly and professionally. There's no seating area, so plan for takeout and enjoy it somewhere calm by the beach for the best experience. Also, definitely order ahead by phone if you can. Wait times can easily reach 30-40 minutes depending on the time of day. Definitely a hidden gem, and I would absolutely come back again for the short ribs.

I have been living in Hawaii for five years and have eaten at this restaurant countless times. But…read moreafter today, I am utterly disgusted and will never step foot in this place again. Your service is absolute garbage. This morning, I called to place an order. I initially tried using Vietnamese to order two PDBs, but the woman who answered couldn't understand me. I switched to English and asked for two "Pho Combinations." She understood that, took the order, and told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. I also wanted to order Quẩy, so I asked, "Can I get one Quẩy?" Again, she didn't understand. So I clarified in English: "Add one Chinese doughnut." Guess what her response was? She condescendingly told me, "This is a Vietnamese restaurant, not a Chinese restaurant." What the hell is your problem? On your very own menu, that item is literally listed as a "Chinese doughnut." As a server, you don't even know your own restaurant's menu, yet you have the audacity to respond to a customer with such an arrogant, rude, and racially discriminatory attitude. It's disgusting. Everyone knows you are a Vietnamese restaurant. But Quẩy is widely known as a Chinese doughnut, and that is exactly how it is written on your menu. Learn your own menu. To make matters worse, when I arrived 20 minutes later, the front desk told me my phone order hadn't even been made yet and that I had to wait. What on earth was the point of me calling ahead? It's a complete joke. If you are going to be this arrogant and rude, and if you hate Chinese culture so much, why is your restaurant located in Chinatown? Why don't you move to a Vietnamese neighborhood? This is Chinatown. This restaurant has incredibly low-quality staff and a glaring issue with discrimination. It is absurd that an employee can work here without even knowing the menu. To openly disrespect and discriminate against Chinese customers--when you are located in Chinatown and 80% of your repeat customers are Chinese--is pathetic. Take your business elsewhere.
