One of our favorite places to eat. The food is 5 out of 5 stars. On the days we want Thai, but realize it's Tuesday and they are closed, always comes with disappointment. The service is great, and there is never a long wait. I recommend Kinaly to everyone! My only "problem" is the music. Idk who is in charge of picking the music, but I think it would be a good idea to switch up the genre, instead of what's being played now. 5 stars for most dishes. 1 star for Crab Fried Rice. My husband and I usually get the same things over and over - Pad Thai with shrimp for me and Drunken Noodles with pork and spring rolls to share. Yesterday I got the Crab Fried Rice. It tasted of crab, but I didn't see any in there (unlike other places that have chunks of crab). It was okay, but I resolved to go back to my favorite dish next time. Then about 2 hours later the GI upset kicked in. I love Kinaly Thai Express. Finding this wonderful gem in the vons shopping center completely changed my weekly dining menu. I not only do I love their food but they make it so easy to call in your order and conveniently pick up. I highly recommend calling in your order vs. ordering in person. The line can take a while. Kinaly is a gem in Escondido. The food is amazing and they always come out quick. They also sell other Asian snacks you can't find close to esco unless you want to drive down to Mira mesa which is very convenient. Always recommend the pad see ew and pad Thai. This has been my go-to spot for Panang curry because the flavor is perfect. Unfortunately I ordered through DoorDash tonight and not only did they cut the portion size down to 3/4ths the original amount but the 'mild' spicy level was more of a medium spicy. I will be shopping at other nearby places to see how they compare since they changed their portion size and spice levels. read more

For the last 6 years, I've eaten Thai food for lunch almost every single day. I do a lot of traveling, and this means I've eaten a lot of Thai in a lot of places: virtually every city in California, all over Oregon, Washington, and Arizona, as well as Upstate NY, London, a couple cities in Germany, Scotland, Italy, etc. One of my chief complaints living near San Diego is that most of the Thai food I've had here is sub par in comparison to other places, and for a while I was on a quest to try every Thai place in the city until I found one that was actually good. Living in Escondido and being too busy to grab the food myself, my day-to-day options are fairly limited since I can only grab what's available on Uber Eats or similar. I count myself very lucky to have had Kinaly Thai (and Kinaly Thai Express) as an option for the two years I've lived here. Having tried almost every Thai place in the San Diego metropolitan area, I would say they are one of the very best in the area. If you're looking for recommendations, the three dishes I tend to rotate between are their Garlic Pepper (it's best with shrimp), their Pad Woon Sen (always with chicken, as spicy as I can order it), or their Ka Prow / Basil (also with chicken and preferably ordered very spicy). Getting through the work day is so much easier with an amazing hot meal to cheer you up and sustain you, and nowhere else in the area is as consistently satisfying, in my opinion. I'm actually a bit sad because I'll be moving back down to Rancho Bernardo next week (I believe just outside of the Uber Eats delivery area for Kinaly), and unfortunately the main Thai place in that area (I won't name drop a competitor in a review, but I have one in mind) is nowhere near as good. So if you're reading this and do decide to order here, please enjoy it a little bit more just for me :) read more

I love this place and eat here way too much! They have ruined all other Pad Thai for me because I can't find another place that uses the same noodles as them. The only thing is I wish they went higher on the spice! I got a 10/10 the other day and still had to add some more spice to it. But otherwise I'm a huge fan and love the flavor. Their Pad Thai and the Curry Fried Rice are pretty special and I crave both all the time! Service is fast. I don't dine in often, but it's super fast casual and cute inside. read more

I've been meaning to try this place for a while, and I just so happened to stop in for a take out order. The restaurant is welcoming, bright and very clean. The girls working up front are very welcoming and kind, they were quick to answer my questions about the boba and get my food order in. I waited a very short amount of time for my fresh, hot meal and was super surprised at the fresh chili oil they provided with the meal (it definitely beats a pre-made chili sauce). The drunken noodles had really great flavor, and the spicy 10 wasn't overwhelmingly spicy and didn't mask the flavor of the meal, which I really appreciated. We ordered our food through DoorDash. On the app, this restaurant replaced another called Pho Boi (Pho Time before that). Unfortunately the beef pho is not PHO! It's called beef noodle soup and has the same description as beef pho with raw steak, etc. When the delivery came the raw meat was brown and semi cooked. The broth was see-through and was the same broth as the chicken pho's and tasted like dirty dish water!!! Pretty disappointing. read more

Convenient is the best way to describe this "Express" fast-casual restaurant. Located in the old Starbucks location, this child restaurant of Kinaly Thai of San Marcos is hoping to fill in the Thai food gap in northern Escondido. In a nutshell, you'll say to yourself...."I've had better". That doesn't mean this is bad Thai food, it's just ok.. Just needed a little more pop. Maybe more fresh vegetables, maybe that extra ingredient that the "best" Thai restaurants use. Chan Dara being my favorite. Happy Chang was also excellent, but they are long closed now. - Pad Thai. Taste was okay, but just okay and it tasted a bit like ketchup. I've had better - Skip the drunken noodles. Basically flat noodles with soy/fish sauce. Just okay, bland. - Basil with chicken. Finally they were generous with the vegetables in one. It was okay. - Tom Kha Soup.. Very coconut based, missing the richness and bold taste of other places. - You can't beat 25% off all menu items during their grand opening month. Like with many other options in North Escondido, this won't be the best ever, but it's convenient. read more

Great Thai! We've gotten take out twice now and I think the food is as good as more expensive sit-down restaurants. I'm pretty picky and they met my standards! Good vegetarian options too. The spice rating though should be noted. I usually get a 4-5 depending on the restaurant and here a 2-3 is definitely spicy. read more

I'm not a big Door Dash gal but had a rough day and needed some sustinance. I saw that Kinaly has both Thai and Pho which works well for my family so I ordered some green curry, yellow curry, tom ka and a beef pho. I am pleasantly suprised and the freshness and GREAT flavors. I am a HUGE fan of Tom Ka and most places around here just don't hit the mark. This one is LEGIT. So good, I want to lick the bowl. I dind't taste the Pho but my 15 year old is a tough critic and it passed her test with 2 thumbs up. Both curries were so so good. This place is my new fixation, can't wait to order this soup again. Next time maybe I will order 2. Side note - I hesitantly ordered shrimp in the Tom Ka, thinking it would probably be not that good...IT WAS GOOD. This place is the fricken best. Now that I've eaten here numerous times, I can notice a huge difference when I eat from other Thai places. It's just not the same. Their soups are huge and full of flavor (I always add a container of rice to mine ). Their spring rolls with crispy tofu and that amazing sauce is perfection. Other places have rolls that fall apart or unimpressive bits of tofu. But not here. Also their noddle dishes are all incredible. Once we substituted for another place because Kinaly was closed. Big mistake. It was nowhere near the same quality and flavor. This is hands down my favorite Thai place close to home. read more

This used to be our go to place for local Thai food. Not anymore. While the food is good, prices have gone up and portion size has significantly decreased. I get the need for the increase in prices, but at least keep your portion size the same. My husband's entree was 75 percent rice. We won't be coming back here anytime soon, unfortunately. I have lived five minutes from this place for over five years now.... I'm disappointed in myself for. It finding it sooner. I've been on a Pad Thai chicken kick for a while now and was absolutely craving it the other day. ( other day = 2 weeks ago'ish). I ordered the pad Thai chicken spicy level 4. It was damn near perfect. Next time I go I think I'm going to try level 5. I'll also take pictures and update this review. We ordered food Togo on a Saturday. I called right after they open at 11am. And the lady picked up the phone very quickly. She took my order(beef Pai Thai and chicken basil ka phone) and the food was ready in less than 15 minutes. It took us a while to drive back and eat the food. The Pai Thai noodles was a little dry and stuck together when we opened the container. It probably will taste better if we eat it earlier. The flavor was good. The price has increased by a dollar compare to the menu here. For the two entrees we paid about $24. read more

My husband loves their Pad Thai with BBQ pork the most. I like their drunken noodle very much but my favorite is the Tom Yum soup with chicken. The flavor of their food is really good. The portion size is absolutely ridiculous. I have had gastric bypass and can only eat a quarter of a 6 inch subway sandwich (to give you an idea of my portion size). At Kinaly Thai I can eat the entire portion of an entree in one setting. Their price is higher by comparison but you literally get less than a cup of entree (excluding rice). I ordered the basil beef. Again, taste is delicious, but due to portion size, I won't come back. You can search reviews and see others who mention both basil beef and other entree dishes where the portion size is so small. read more

Im no expert but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take 4oz of oil to cook a plate of drunken noodles... I order this at various Thai places and never has it had this much oil. You can't even eat this. Edit* When I called to inform them I was told to ask for less oil next time so they don't put as much oil.... Ha. They messaged me to add that they gave me a refund so here it is. If they put too much oil and you forget to mention to not drench your food in oil, they will refund you. read more
