I chose Kindbody after consulting with several fertility clinics. Their technology and patient portal appeared modern and efficient, and I assumed most clinics ultimately follow similar protocols. Unfortunately, my experience showed that the quality of care can vary significantly. Throughout the process I had extremely limited interaction with the physician overseeing my care, Kristin Bendikson. In total, I spoke with her only about twice during the entire IVF cycle. Nearly all communication occurred through physician assistants who acted as intermediaries. While they were friendly, they often needed to relay questions to the doctor and respond later. For a treatment costing roughly $30,000, I expected significantly more direct physician involvement. My egg retrieval took place in January 2025 during the Santa Monica fires, when the Kindbody office where I had been receiving treatment had to temporarily close. Because of this, I was instructed to travel to Newport Beach for the retrieval procedure. Despite the fact that Dr. Bendikson had been overseeing my cycle and monitoring my follicles leading up to retrieval, she did not perform the procedure. Instead, the clinic assigned a different physician whom I had never met before and whom I encountered for the first time immediately prior to surgery. Given how critical egg retrieval is within the IVF process, the lack of continuity of care at such an important stage was concerning. Prior to retrieval, my monitoring scans showed more than 14 follicles measuring greater than 14 mm in size. Follicles of this size are typically expected to yield eggs during retrieval. However, only 7 eggs were ultimately retrieved. When I asked why the remaining follicles were not retrieved, I was verbally told that my bowel was obstructing the view. However, the procedural note in my medical record states that the retrieval was "difficult due to abdominal breathing." The differing explanations have left me with unresolved questions about what actually occurred during the procedure. Even accounting for normal biological variation, retrieving eggs from only about half of the follicles documented during monitoring represents a significant discrepancy. The procedure itself appeared to conclude very quickly, leaving many follicles uncollected and significantly reducing the number of eggs available for fertilization. During egg retrieval, each follicle is typically aspirated individually, and based on the number of follicles documented prior to the procedure, I expected more comprehensive attempts to retrieve eggs from the available follicles. From the 7 eggs retrieved, only 2 embryos were created. One was abnormal, and the single normal embryo ultimately failed to implant. Equally concerning was the lack of follow-up care. After receiving the call informing me the transfer was unsuccessful, there was no outreach from the physician to review the cycle, discuss what may have happened, or talk through next steps. About a month later I experienced unusual symptoms and contacted the clinic requesting to see the doctor. After multiple follow-ups, I was ultimately told to see my primary care provider because it was "no longer their responsibility." Since my treatment, I have learned that Dr. Bendikson is no longer practicing at Kindbody and is now affiliated with Pinnacle Fertility. As a result, there is effectively no opportunity for continuity of care or a proper review of what occurred during my cycle with the physician who originally oversaw it. IVF is an emotionally and financially significant medical process. Patients deserve meaningful physician involvement, continuity of care, and proper follow-up. Unfortunately, my experience at Kindbody left me feeling like a number in a system rather than a patient receiving individualized medical care. read more

Kindbody is offered through my employer/Veba. When I spoke to them in October before open enrollment I discussed what is covered with Kaiser and UHC. I switched insurances for UHC because I was told in 2026 that egg freezing would be fully covered under this insurance plan. Come January 2026, I make appointments and they state they DO NOT cover any of it and would have been the same price as if I stayed with Kaiser. So I switched and paid more for insurance for nothing... When addressed with Kindbody, they take awhile to respond and when virtual calls are made, they cancel them. They state they do not know who gave me this information, I do have a name of an advisor, however one of them no longer works with Kindbody, so there is no accountability. I wish I read more reviews and saw the bad reviews on the administration side as I would never have signed up. read more

Dr. S was just pushing their holistic services on top of everything. I did receive a bill a whole year later when the generic screening folks tried to charge 8K to my insurance for a genetic screening counseling that should only run you 200 bucks. The ultrasound tech was amazing but this whole place is a scam. If you haven't done your research, they have ruined people's eggs, embryos and everything. Be careful of them. I didn't go through with anything after having a terrible experience with Dr Sundheimers terrible bedside manner. It honestly felt so elitist here. Everything is a facade. Go somewhere else. I can't say enough about this wonderful facility and their incredible staff. We visited the Newport Beach location most (don't let the RV drive you away), they are building a new office there. We came to Kind Body after switching insurance companies from Kaiser to Cigna OAP, if you are struggling with infertility I highly recommend it. We were on a 8 year journey of infertility and it was trying, we came to kind body tired. We had been diagnosed with unexplained infertility and my wife had blocked tubes. We tried many treatments with Kaiser and about $6k in holistic treatment. Our Dr, Lauren Sundheimer, was incredible. The nurses there are also amazing. We had a virtual meeting first to go over what to expect. We went to our first appointment in Santa Monica. The staff there are also friendly. Dr Lauren is so personable. She makes you feel welcomed, she cares. After much conversation and prayer we landed on starting with IUI. We did our first cycle and it didn't take. So we waited a little. We went in for our second cycle and we were advised that we shouldn't proceed because the follicle growth wasn't where it needed to be, as crushing as it was great to have the support of Dr Lauren and her staff. On our third cycle everything was looking great and we went ahead with the trigger shot. We were so nervous. About two weeks after our insemination we went in for a blood pregnancy test. A few hours later we got a call from Dr.Lauren, WE ARE PREGNANT! After almost 8 years and many tests and procedures we finally heard the news we were waiting for. I am 100% convinced that it was Divine Providence that brought us to Dr Lauren and her care and the support staff we are now due to have a baby in July! We plan on inviting her to our gender reveal and baby shower, that's how much she means to our family. read more

I unfortunately have recommended this business in the past to many people but the billing practices here are extremely problematic. I got random bills in the mail for thousands of dollars for a couple years. My online account would say paid but then another bill would come from a service that had been from over a year past. Our fertility treatment was majority covered by our company. But they would say things weren't covered but our insurance would say they were. My insurance would call to know response. I did three way calls with insurance so I know this to be true. We would call during business hours, email, send messages on the online portal. The bills would not be itemized or correlate to my online account. I would constantly get the run around from the billing department when I asked for itemization or had questions. My amazing dr has left Kindbody, many nurses and the sonographer I regularly saw also left. The Century City location closed down. That says a lot. I had a lovely experience with everyone in office except billing. It is very wrong and fraudulent. You are dealing with a vulnerable population and scamming them. Stay away from this business. I have tried so many times to get clear answers and they never come but the bills keep coming. And now the annual fee for storage for my embryos has gone up 50%. I tried to connect with Kindbody and they tell me to deal with Embryo solutions. Embryo solutions tells me Kindbody is the one that raised the storage amount so I need to deal with them. I just paid a storage bill 3 months ago for a year but they said they sent the bill 6 months late because of a new system. Steer clear! read more

Go elsewhere. I don't have enough time and there isn't enough space to even start to summarize all the issues I have been through with Kindbody, but it is so devastating and stressful. I am handcuffed to them now as we approach embryo transfer with a surrogate. I don't know why I didn't learn my lesson after doing IVF with them and it being a complete nightmare. I should have gone elsewhere for part 2 of this. Do not be fooled by the beautiful offices, the nice people, and the modern technology. It is complete incompetence and negligence behind the facade. Expect to have a ton of problems, and expect no one to ever get back to you. Expect to be billed incorrectly 25+ times, and for it to take 9 months to a year to resolve, if it ever gets resolved. Eventually you will give up out of frustration. Expect the billing issues to cascade and grow more complex while awaiting answers. Expect 0 transparency into bills, payments, refunds, or reimbursements. Expect to be ignored by customer service. ADVICE: - Screenshot your balance weekly. Screenshot your invoices. Screenshot EVERYTHING. They will change, disappear, and you'll get bills months or years later. There will be no evidence or explanation. Something only Software Engineers can untangle or explain after combing through ledgers and change history, which obviously will not happen. - Read everything extremely thoroughly. Question anything and everything. Only you can look out for yourself - only you care for your success. There were several glaring mistakes that could have ruined 2 of 3 of my cycles, had I not been a very detail-oriented person and paid attention and asked the right questions. Their SLA (service level agreement) for billing responses is 6 weeks, and they don't even adhere to that. They will close your message threads as "Resolved", and you will never be able to reopen that unresolved thread and have to start over and add more confusion. Their SLA for reimbursements is 3 months, and that's only after 1-2 months it waits to be processed/reviewed. If you are owed money, expect to not see it for at least 6 months, and to never receive any status updates. Dr. Brower seems great, so I want to make sure that is known. read more

Unfortunately there's no restrooms at Target so I was desperate to find out the restroom to get the tampon protect from leaking out of my skorts. I showed my tampon in my hand saying like "I'm so sorry, I'm desperated to find the restroom to resolve my emergency." However the staffs were looking to each other with anxiety like 'Is it okay to have her here?' If I were you, staffs, I'd rather having me "Right this way." Was excited to try this place for fertility testing. Scheduled an appt to come in and wasn't told till I got my results that I needed to be off birth control for atleast 2 months prior to the test to get accurate results. $90 spent. Rescheduled another follow up appt 2 months later and they closed the Century City office and rescheduled me in Santa Monica. I live on the Eastside but decided to make the trek to be consistent. I called before the 24 hour window to ask a question prior to the exam, they hung up on me, never called back and never responded to my emails again. I canceled my appt to avoid the $100 cancelation fee since they did not respond in time. After my bad experience a year ago, I thought I was done with them but then got an email stating my credit card failed to charge and requested a new form of payment in order to continue storage of my frozen embryos. Small problem... I NEVER frozed embryos!! Whose embryos do you think are mines?! Do you even check or just charged people and hope they dont notice. So be careful they will try to charge you for services not rendered, make it almost impossible to get refunded and then will continue to charge you long after you stop being a patient. Kindbody has perfected making an already stressful experience more stressful. I had a wonderful experience with them a few years ago, which resulted in the birth of my first. I was looking forward to coming back to a clinic I was comfortable with -- but unfortunately my experience this time was miserable. The best way I can describe it is -- this feels like a factory where their job is to get as many people in and out as possible. On the surface, the practitioners are friendly and nice, but at a certain point it really doesn't matter when you feel like you are just another person being shuffled through their system. My main gripe: the communication -- both between the various nurses/doctors/front desk as well as between the patient and the staff -- is abysmal. From just the generic being put on hold for way too long, to EVERYTHING coming to you through a portal message and rarely talking to a human (although they make sure to charge you for a full appointment if you talk to your doctor by phone for 15 min). I learned about 4 months into the process that a medication I had been taking as a suppository could have just been taken orally, even though I had already mentioned it was kind of difficult nobody mentioned it until they randomly changed the instructions in my portal. Medications my doctor told me to stop taking were showing up as medications to take in my portal for a month after I was instructed not to. I had to reach out several times to make sure my prescription was refilled. I had an ultrasound that was concerning due to an unclear explanation from the sonographer, and was assured the doctor would reach out to me that day. I called in the afternoon around 3 to make sure I would get a call and was told she was finishing up appointments and would call later. It wasn't until later the next day that I got a hold of my doctor, who had a personal emergency. NOBODY from their office called me to at least explain I wouldn't get a call until the next day. I would have at least appreciated getting to talk to a nurse. I ended up paying out of pocket for a bunch of things because for some reason the fertility pharmacy they use didn't get the preauthorization from the doctor. Now dealing with trying to get a refund from insurance, but the person I was talking to at Kindbody suddenly doesn't work there anymore. I've since been transferred over to two other people, neither of whom seem to know what's going on. This place is more concerned with looking trendy than being an actual medical office. Going into the nurse's room to discuss things I would see conversations with other patients wide open on their monitor, which was really off-putting. The two stars is only because the ONE time I came in my ultrasound technician was lovely and kind. I had one appointment with this place and I'm still dealing with: 1. Inappropriately billing my insurance for a second guaranteed free consultation. I saw my notes and the doctor claimed a 20 minute appointment when I set up a free 15 minute consultation because the provider I had originally seen left and they were trying to convince me to stay and have me meet the new doctor. 2. I am currently on hold because I keep getting texts and bills for someone named "Brett" no idea if they spelled my name wrong or I'm being sent the wrong bill. It was also IMPOSSIBLE to find out how egg freezing costs I had to ask so many times. Annnnd I was just disconnected when attempting to figure out the bill. Before reading: I'm 28, do not plan to have kids soon, needed a general women's check-up, and had questions about harsh periods, contraceptives, and other ~girl stuff~ Service I booked: Complex GYN consultation. The entire experience from creating an online account, having a portal to upload all necessary documents, then being greeted by name when I walked in without me saying anything was unlike any other doctor's visit! The administrative process (which is normally the most tedious and annoying) was so simple. It saves you the awkwardness of sitting in a gown reciting your address, DOB, etc, etc. The rooms are very welcoming and I really appreciated every person asking me about my visit, and not hesitating to answer any questions I had. I did not feel rushed and the level of care I received was nothing I've ever experienced in a doctor's office. I took pictures of the waiting area to send to my sisters, friends, and EVERYONE thought I was either at a spa or a cute restaurant. I have been telling all of my friends about this place -- usually you keep doctor's visits to yourself, much less post a picture of it! Their attention to detail in creating a safe, comforting, and easy to talk to atmosphere is amazing and I look forward to utilizing the many other services they offer. I hate Kindbody. The only good thing there is Dr. Brower. But the corporate HQ is greedy and scammy. They moved my eggs to a different state without my consent so they can have cheaper storage costs, and I am sure some of my eggs were damaged in that process. And then, they proceeded to raise the price of storage / year by 50% with no explanation for my friend and I. My friend tried to contact customer service and they literally replied "no comment" and re-assigned her case to someone else, and she still hasn't heard back. I mean just a complete disaster of a company. Shameful business practices. What are we supposed to do, not pay the crazy storage price increases since they hold our eggs? We should be grandfathered in to the storage price that was contracted when we froze our eggs. read more

A few complications came up and the team at kindbody was there to help me through each step even though it wasn't IVF/IUI related. Kindbody is a scam company. It is sickening that Kindbody exploits people's dreams of having families and uses their vulnerability to take advantage of them for profit. ALL the decisions this company makes (and I mean ALL) are about the bottom line, about lining their pockets--- with very little, if any, regard for patient welfare. They treat you like gold in the beginning to try to charm and woo you, give you hope for the family you thought you couldn't have. Once they have your money and you're locked in, they make changes to cut costs with no thought about how those changes will affect the patient and their goals to start a family. I have really tried to give Kindbody so many chances. I even went back for a 2nd retrieval despite being beyond upset about them moving my eggs to Denver because I thought the staff was really nice. Big mistake. Sadly, they have continued to disappoint me. I showed up to my retrieval and they did not have me on the schedule. What kind of incompetence is that? I had to watch them scramble for 20 minutes to try to fit me in / prep paperwork realtime, and it was so stressful watching the nurses run back and forth talking in hushed sounds all while I am sitting there in the waiting room in limbo, unsure of whether I'd be seen in time. Thank goodness I had arrived earlier than I was supposed to and I was ultimately taken into the OR only 20 minutes later than I was supposed to with a different doctor (though she was so lovely and amazing) so in the grand scheme of things I am grateful they managed to squeeze me in and that I was able to get some eggs retrieved at least, but it honestly felt terrible hearing a nurse complain out loud to her colleague in front of me, "there were just too many back to back retrievals today, I guess I just missed this one," all while I'm sitting there in the lobby watching this play out with no one updating me or checking in on me. I know I have only myself to blame, for not advocating for myself more but it has truly just been so disappointing of an experience. The day after my retrieval, I had excruciating pain while I was trying to pee and when I called the hotline, I was just told, your nurse is off today so I will message all the nurses and hopefully one of them will get back to you. Well guess what? Not a single peep from any of the nurses. Thankfully with some Tylenol, I felt better but truly just feels like such negligent practices and like they don't give a fuck about you. The staff and the doctors are so nice and amazing, so I feel terrible writing such an awful review because I know they're just being worked to unreasonable standards. Beware of Kindbody, as it appears to be operating as a scam. If you wish to avoid receiving an unexpected bill from Kindbody several months later, it is advisable not to utilize their services. In January 2023, my employer added Kindbody as an option for fertility-related services. Consequently, I obtained authorization to purchase fertility medications through Schraft's Pharmacy. Per Kindbody, you can only use Schraft's Pharmacy for medications to be covered by Kindbody. To gather information about the medication costs, I contacted Schraft's Pharmacy. I discovered that one of the medications was significantly more expensive compared to my local fertility pharmacy, while the other one was fully covered by Kindbody per Schraft's. Consequently, I placed an order for the latter medication through Schraft's Pharmacy, and it was promptly shipped to me the following day. However, a few months later, I received an unexpected bill from Kindbody amounting to $2000 for this medication. This came as a surprise to me since, according to Kindbody's brochure titled "Fertility Medication Overview," if you have any out-of-pocket costs they are supposed to contact you to discuss the costs and obtain credit card details to secure the delivery of the medications prior to any shipment. In my case: 1) Kindbody never contacted me about the costs. I've ordered the same medication twice. Even when I've reached out to them to obtain the authorization. 2) The medication was shipped to me without any indication that I would be billed at a later date. I was never asked for credit card. It's important to be aware that Kindbody does not proactively reach out to you if there are any out-of-pocket costs. Instead, Schraft's Pharmacy simply ships the medications, and you receive an unexpected bill months later. I believe this practice is deceptive, leading me to suspect that there might be a scam involved in using this particular pharmacy. read more

Lisa, my gynecologist, is incredible! Even the fact that she introduced me by her first name made me feel like I was talking to a close friend's mom. Don't be fooled by their sleek offices. You are just a number here, with a revolving door of offsite customer service people throughout the cycle. I never figured out how to just speak to the local front desk, dont think it was possible. Although I liked Dr. Brower, I literally never met her in person until the day of my retrieval. And then for my second retrieval, she wasnt the doctor on call, so some random doctor performed it for me and it went terribly. I had no choice in the matter. Of course the claim is that it's not the doctor's fault and these things happen but how can you ever know? The Santa Monica location was awkward and I tried to avoid it. Parking is terrible. Large glass windows in the exam room made me uncomfortable. I don't think the phlebotomist at this location knew what she was doing. I had the most painful blood draw of my life here and had a huge bruise afterwards that didn't go away for a long time. I've never had anything like that happen before. I reported it to customer service and they said they would report it but of course nothing happened. I asked never to have to go back to that location but they never had enough appointments available in the other location. Then again, I had a bad experience at the CC location too, where she kept jabbing at and missing my vein. About a year later, they suddenly billed me for a supposedly unpaid copay that they didn't tell me about at the time of either retrieval when I was told I was fully paid. Instead of waiving this for their own lack of follow up they harassed me until it was paid. Now, a little over a year later, I'm being told my eggs will be moved from LA to CO unless I pay an exorbitant amount (from $600/year to $1,000/MONTH) far above any market rates and have very little time to figure out what to do if I dont want them moved. If you do move with them, you have to pay a massive fee almost equal to a year of storage to get them back (unless you use them of course). But who in their right mind would trust them after this? Not to mention the risk of damage after having to move your eggs from storage multiple times. See JS's review for a more detailed description of this issue. How can I give them ZERO stars! Please save yourself the trouble and find another caring clinic. They made an error on my medications and then told me to just "double up" on the one they gave me.... Low and behold my egg retrieval was pretty much unsuccessful. I cancelled this service and was given confirmation that my account was closed. It's been several months of them continuing to send me invoices and me calling and wasting hours on end trying to get a home of someone only to be sent another invoice. They are extremely unprofessional and more focused on marketing over patient care. Nightmare to deal with. I checked my insurance portal before going and she was definitely in-network. I pulled up my portal and showed them that she is in my network. I called my insurance and they confirmed that she is definitely in my network & this specific location included. However, they kept telling me my insurance doesn't cover dr brower and they couldn't do anything to help me. I wish they would've emailed me and told me before taking off work and driving there for nothing. I was referred to Kindbody through one of their social media influencers and am very sad to write this review. From the begining, I was given different appointment confirmation times. For some reason they are unable to send you your correct time by time zone. They have continuously sent me both Eastern Time and PST appointment confirmations within the same day. I am travelling from out of state to work with Kindbody because it was so highly recommended and seemed like an exciting new fertility company. I am also a small business owner who's personal, Orange County based business, has been closed since March due to state pandemic requirements. All this it to say- the cost and effort for this journey to motherhood is high. There are details of my first in-clinic appointment I will not share at this time, but I will say the appointment was extremely and unnecessarily painful. I have had 2 previous IUI cycles and have undergone serious back injuries including back surgery and the pain level for a routine solar sonogram was traumatic and something I never ever want to experience again. Earlier this week I had a virtual consult with Dr. Bowers (who seemed amazing and who I had looked forward to doing my IUI with) however I got conflicting appointment times then was sent a last-min message to my portal, which still was not accessible, that it was pushed 30 min. There was literally no way for me to get that message because the portal issues I had complained about a few times previously- didn't get resolved. Leading up to today- my portal has had technical issues that I've told 5 different people about. Zero resolution. They all apologize and say they'll get it taken care of or get the tech team on it. The problem is that my cycle starts next week and I have been unable to view my cycle schedule so I can begin to make travel arrangements. I have asked THREE time, almost begging the last time, for them to PLEASE email me the schedule so I can plan my week. My first appointment left me in tears as a result of the pain and I have been close to tears over the last few days as I cannot view my schedule and no one will fix it. My last email was to all 5 email addresses I have for kindbody asking for anyone to please send my schedule via email by today (Friday) so I can make travel plans for next week. Not one of those 5 people replied. I wish I got the experience others describe but so far, it has been horrible at every turn. My previous clinic was nowhere near this bad. The clinics I worked with having been a 5-time egg donor were nowhere near this bad. It's both upsetting and shocking. Do not recommend putting yourself through the portal issues, appointment time issues and potentially extremely painful solar sonogram procedures. Update- it is even more frustrating that the owner responds after the fact on yelp but never does anything to resolve the issues as they're occurring and as you're communicating them. Far too little too late. The experience did not improve. More hidden fees and charges to my car that were not discussed or approved. Also after my insemination, two unknown individuals walked into the room unannounced, at different times, without knocking. I was laying on the bed naked from the waist down with a sheet trying to relax. An absolutely absurd, unprofessional and unethical breach of patient confidentiality and safety. Kindbody is a terrible company. I 100% regret that I chose to have my eggs frozen with them. I had my eggs frozen with Kindbody, Los Angeles, in 2020. Since then they have repeatedly switched facilities, which means my eggs have had to be moved. Every time this happens, there is a chance of damage to the eggs, in addition to human error. Now they are moving my eggs again!!! This time to Denver, Colorado and I have no say in it! If I want to keep my eggs in Los Angeles (where I live), Kindbody is requiring me to pay $1000 A MONTH! That's $12,000 a year, that's 2000% above our contract of $600 a year. Kindbody is a terrible money-driven institution. They care nothing about their patients. See attached for the options they are giving me. Options A, B, and C state that I have the option to have my eggs destroyed, donated to someone else, or donated to science. If I want to keep MY OWN EGGS that I went through a lot (financially, physically, and emotionally) to have frozen, these are my options! I hope somebody sues this unethical company, which lacks all integrity. I hope somebody stands up for the women who trusted them with our bodies. REPLY TO SARA G.: What's there to discuss? The fact that Kindbody keeps reneging on its own contract(s)? Your own paperwork states that each time eggs/embryos are relocated, there is a risk of damage. Would you like me to post a screenshot of that as well? I froze my eggs in 2020, not knowing they would EVER be moved. They were moved in 2021 from Beverly Hills to Santa Monica. Now you're telling me that unless I pay $12,000 a year for storage, they will be moved to Denver, Colorado???!!! What's next? Am I gonna get another notice in 2023, saying my eggs will be moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin (or some other random location) unless I pay $30,000 (or whatever sounds like a nice fee for you at the time) a year for storage? Are you willing to abide by YOUR OWN contract of keeping my eggs stored in your Santa Monica location for $600 a year (as was our agreement)? If not, there is nothing to discuss. I am already speaking to my attorneys about your company's egregious practices. I have lost trust for Kindbody. I regret referring 5 dear friends to Kindbody, 3 of whom also froze eggs/embryos with you and will be joining me in taking legal action if you move forward with this move. Do you really think we would have agreed to work with you and paid you close to $13,000 each (including meds) and moved forward in trusting you with our specimen if you had been upfront that at any point, you could move what we hope will be our precious future children to other states unless we paid a 2000% increase? I went to Kindbody from June 2022-August 2023 and had 2 IUIs, one round of IVF that resulted in a successful pregnancy, numerous ultrasounds and various other procedures. I loved my doctor (who is no longer with the practice), the ultrasound techs and the nurses at the century city office (which is now closed). So why the 1 star review you might ask? Because Kindbody has owed me for overpayment for 11 months and has thus far refused to refund me despite the withholding of funds being against the law. Apparently it is too complicated for their billing department to do something as simple as write and mail a check, despite my numerous attempts to contact them and demands that they do so. Their only solution was to refund my credit card and when I told them that was not possible because I no longer have that credit card they ghosted me. Working with their billing team has been an absolute nightmare and for that reason alone I would never recommend this clinic to anyone. Next stop, I'm off to make a BBB complaint. read more

The office was clean and perfectly decorated, I felt very comfortable as soon as I stepped inside. Very calm but fun atmosphere. The views from the offices are absolutely gorgeous. It's a few miles away from the beach and you can see straight to the ocean. Very peaceful. It seems like someone decorated the office with Instagram or popular interior design trends in mind, and it shows. There is an attached parking structure that was super convenient and it was pretty easy to find the office on the 14th floor. Parking cost however was $20, which was an unpleasant shock but this was my first time there and I have no idea if I was supposed to validate or if that's just what the cost of parking is. I will say though that the cost of parking was well worth it for the quality of my visit. Everyone was extremely nice to me and treated me like a friend while also respecting how nervous I was. I came for a general wellness exam as I hadn't had one in over a year. They were informative and very careful with me. My doctor was Lisa, and she was very sweet and patient with me. She knew I was nervous so she kept up a casual dialogue throughout the examination and kept me at ease. She was very thorough and also recommended a vaginal ultrasound so that I could be sure everything was fine. I've never had one before, and the 2 ladies that did the ultrasound were so sweet and so comforting! Nothing hurt, and if I was ever uncomfortable they were quick to complete what they needed and offered verbal support and a playful bedside manner that I really appreciated. I also got blood taken at my appointment, and the woman who did it for me was also so nice! I am very shaky when it comes to needles, so I warned her ahead of time, and she was fabulous. She gave me a lollipop to keep me focused on something else, talked to me through the whole thing, and when it was done she gave me apple juice and a wet paper towel for my forehead since I was dizzy right after she took blood. At every stage of my appointment I felt cared for, listened to, and encouraged. Having had either no health care or subpar health care in the past, the difference was immediately evident. I've never been to Kindbody but I've spoken to a couple of their employees so my review is based on my experience so far. I've been researching fertility clinics EVERYWHERE since realizing how expensive it is. Spain is my #1 pick based on price and on the reputation of the clinics I've been in contact there, but unfortunately I don't have 6-8 weeks to stay there except during the pandemic when I'm scared to travel now and may have to report back to work soon (otherwise I would totally do this in like April/May!). The most affordable clinics with a good reputation in the US are in NY (CNY), but I would either need to stay out there for weeks (In upstate...not near NYC lol...) or pay a ton of money in LA getting the monitoring appointments which is grossly expensive here and many clinics won't do it unless you actually their patient. Anyway, I started to look more locally within the Socal area. There was a clinic in Tarzana I liked that was affordable but they never returned my emails or called me which was a red flag so I moved on. The others were $$$$$. Kindbody always showed up in my searches but because people made them out to seem like just some trend for Instagram girls, I never really considered them until I got more information from their website and from them via email. I liked how they were upfront about all their prices as many clinics will not do this just off their website. Hell, many won't even do it via email or over the phone because they want you to come in (often having to pay for a consultation). Their pricing was actually reasonable (not out of the country reasonable sadly) for the area for egg preservation, and they were always quick to answer my questions. The only thing I don't like is that even though their pricing is straight forward, I thought it was odd that they don't have any all inclusive packages (excluding medication....that's $$$$ wherever you go since you don't get it from the clinic anyway). Blood work is not included. It's very much a la carte when the majority of women I imagine would probably want something all done under 1 roof (maybe I speak for myself though). When you come in for the assessments you pay for that and the money isn't deducted from what you would pay should you decide to go with Kindbody for the procedures. I would easily pay more money to get it done in 1 place vs a lab. That said the ultrasounds are included which I believe ends up costing more than the bloodwork anyway so maybe not that bad of a deal. Anyway if any of you are researching egg preservation you should really do your research as the process is not one and done. You pay storage fees that are often are around $500 a year, and should you decide to use your eggs for IVF you will roughly be paying around $12,500 (not including lab fees or medication) which although is expensive is around the same price of other smaller clinics in the area. Kindbody so far is definitely at the top of my list if I end up having to do this locally. Worth checking out even if you are just inquiring. Billing department does not exist !! You will get incorrect invoices for services that were already paid or canceled . Customer service is the worst. Every communication is thru messages , they never call you even if the matter is urgent.It took them 2 months to answer a message I sent thru the portal !!! The medical team is great as well as the staff at the santamonica and New port clinic but other than that, customer service is bad. There is no direct line to billing. It took them 6 months to process a refund , and I am dealing with invoices that I received for services that were already paid for. Honestly, I do not recommend them. What is the point of having a great medical team if billing will make it impossible to continue, they wont give you financial clearance until your account looks good but how is that possible if the billing is short staffed and behind (that is what I have been told multiple times by Kindbody Customer service line ). Please use a different clinic. I am stuck with them because my employer offers one round of IVF thru them, but If you can choose another clinic! they are not worth the stress and the time. read more
