He also corrected the direction of our vents as they were installed incorrectly and we had no idea. They advertised through a flyer 8 vents and 1 return for @99.95. i phoned and they quoted me just over $150 for 13 vents which I accepted. When they came they quoted me about $350 instead claiming there were other things involved that the ad. conveniently omitted. I kicked them out immediately for misrepresenting their ad. In researching for reviews about this company there have been complaints about misrepresenting their service and, noticeably , they are not members of the Better Business Bureau. We were very pleased with Kyle - the owner - and the work he did. He arrived with all the tools he needed to clean out a dryer vent that perhaps had not been cleaned since the place was built. We bought this place a few months ago and are catching up on overdue maintenance! Kyle started with using a brush he inserted into the vent pipe and then used a large vacuum with a very long flexible house so that he could run it down the dryer vent from the outside as the vent exits about 7 feet above the level of where it exists from the dryer and nearly 30 feet overall in length. He then used the vacuum from the inside just at the level where it exists the dryer in order to get any light that fell back die into the tube from the scrubbing with the brush. CLEANING THE NEIGHBORING BUSINESS VENT NOT OURS. Lance it is really disappointing that you have not gotten back to me in over three weeks since our conversation on May 1, 2023 regarding the fact that you have been cleaning the neighbors dryer vent rather than ours for the last 3 years. I made a reasonable request that you reimburse me for the $673 we have paid Kings Air Duct Cleaning over the past 3 years since you were not servicing our business dryer vent and had made the mistake over and over again of cleaning the dryer vent of the business nextdoor. If we were to add the cost of the excess electricity we used to continuously dry towels using a dryer that was not vented properly the reimbursement request would be even greater. Additionally the risk we faced to start a fire is very real. Add to that the fact that we sometimes have 12-16 dogs in the shop, the liability is huge. Over time and due to my calls of concern you had assured me several times that you cleaned my vent and we had nothing to worry about. When I was at the shop on April 12,2023 I disassembled the new dryer vent your employee installed 2 years ago. That's when I realized you had not cleaned our vents. The 4" and 6"vent ducts were completely clogged-stuffed full of dog hair. On April 13 you stopped by and saw the fully clogged vent. At that time you suggested to move the dryer to another location and once the work was done you would come back to complete the dryer vent installation. I hired an electrician to do the electrical work and drill the 4"hole in the concrete which was completed on April 21,2023. I'd given you a heads up on Thursday April 20 and also Friday morning April 21 so you could come back to complete the agreed upon vent connection but didn't hear from you. Because you did not reply the electrician did the vent installation to complete the job. This cost me an additional expense but saved you time and money in the neighborhood of $100 for parts and labor. When we spoke on May 1,2023 I explained to you that I believe you should reimburse ADR the full $673. You said you would get back to me and I have not heard from you since I have left voicemails and sent a text on May 15 and still you have not responded. I would appreciate the courtesy of a reply. read more
