First of all super loud and when trying to place your order to ask you have to ask and ask them again because the music was so loud you weee shouting through a a glass door. And they seemed annoyed as it was your fault that their music was loud verse turning it down. I just pointed and hoped for the best because I just wanted something since we couldn't communicate. Now there's a middle age woman who's there usually on Saturdays, she's kind and really patient with customers and uber drivers from what I've seen, reason why I know what to expect usually when I go during the week, but she's not always there every Saturdays which I've experienced today and this woman with nose rings is the worst Ive ever seen in my entire life and there so far. She cursed people out calling the 6$ order the broke people order! They are usually rude but this time was just so disrespectful I had to write this! The brown soup chicken nice flavor slightly sweet as it should be nice gravy curry goat didn't look like curry. It should look Jamaican. Curry is yellow yellowish green but this was more orange orange reddish. It had a lot of bones. It was tender it was seasoned, it just didn't look like it should typically from a Jamaican spot. overall I enjoyed it. It definitely could've been worse and it could've been better but it was just right and he hit the spot. The mac & cheese was aight. Jamaicans arent really known for mac & cheese. To be clear, this is a no-frills take-out joint. My favorite is the Oxtails and Pasta. The flavor is amazing. I have also had their rice & peas which were good also. They give big portions so you will definitely have some leftovers or enough to share. This is my second time coming here, my first time was yesterday Thursday May 16th,2024. I had heard about this place before and passed it walking so many times with the line out the door not understanding the hype, I know understand the hype it's really good food for a fraction of the price, the portions alone should be having everyone coming a line down the block, if anyone deserves the Keith Lee touch this place does. The place is small and could use a lot better air conditioning or even a fan with the heat of the summer approaching and the way it gets packed their employees deserve better. They are really nice and patient and take their time with your order. I was definitely skeptical but with the hot bar looking set up but all the food is usually fresh or hot so I can't complain. I got a small oxtail pasta and jerk chicken with white rice. You have the option to do rice and peas or white rice and your meal comes with a drink for a total price of $21. If you aren't like crazy hungry and want something small the small jerk chicken is $6.00 and even that's a steal because the portion size just doesn't compare. read more

First off, I placed an order on Uber Eats because it advertised buy 1 get one free. We had the option of picking the meat and it came with rice, cabbage and a can of soda. I thought it was an amazing deal, so my sis decided to go for it. 30 mins later, food arrived. We open the platter and if false advertisement was a person, they would be it. First one platter had no rice, the other had no cabbage. The jerk chicken was defrosted and slapped in the smoker not the grill and lawd someone told the chef he was going to jail for adding even a pinch of salt because aside from it being dry as sand, it tasted like I was chewing on chalk. Worst part, they never bothered to include the soda. So realistically, we could barely swallow the meal. I called the location, in hopes of rectifying the situation and all I got was what it should have said. Such as it's either rice or cabbage, and the soda is free if you pick up the meal not get it delivered. No apologies for being mislead or an offer to remake the order as it states. Then I get placed on hold and I'm almost certain the person on the other end had no plans on returning bc 15 mins later I called back and no one answered. I had the right mind to take both platters to the location and starting the only scene. I was either going to get my money or my food. They decide. But then I realized, the flavorless, dry to the core, unseasoned, and poor presentation of a meal was only worthy of the garbage. I would give 5 stars JUST ON THE LARGE OXTAIL PLATE & the sweet young gIrl WHO HELPED ME & made me such a nice plate...but I also got the brown stew chicken & I've had so much better...next time imma try the fish or shrimp instead!!
