My family and I usually visit this place because of how much we love crab legs however at our last visit I encountered a waitress taking out crab legs from a trash bin. We knew it was a trash bin because we saw other stuff in there not just crab legs . We were seated a booth or two away from where they have the fountain drink area so we kept observing them and they were separating the crab legs in two different stacks one were they were still whole and one were it was just pieces left . We're so disappointed this happen to us since my family really loves to visit this place , however I'm glad we noticed before any of us ended sick . Definitely won't be visiting again. read more

I like it, alot of varieties. Fri and sat only crab legs. Very good deal. Oyster was decent, obviously not oyster bar quality but sufficient to satisfied my craving. The clams and fried squid was really good also. For $14/person for adult was not bad. The place gets really busy and waited 30mins for a table. I was very excited to go here since it's rated very highly. Overall a disappointment. Pros: seated immediately, staff was nice, overall clean, bathrooms were nice, restocked food often, Mongolian grill and crab Rangoon were good, not expensive ($12/adult and $2 soft drink) Cons: majority of the food wasn't good and I watched them peel grey tuna (left out too long) off of sashimi and replace it with fresh tuna. That's not the issue. They saved the grey tuna and put it on top of a roll and covered it with sauces so you couldn't see it. That was disgusting to see. The chocolate fountain was gritty and left a weird aftertaste. I'm also doubting any of the crab on their buffet is real crab and not imitation. We went on a Saturday and there were no crab legs. This place is actually pretty awesome, there is a dine-in option, and they do require that masks are worn. There is a similar buffet here in Arlington. They have a pretty wide variety of sushi, and sauces, including Tabasco sauce. read more

We went here on a Saturday. This is one of the 3 worst Chinese buffets I have ever been to. No crab legs. No crawfish. No shrimp on the Mongolian buffet. They had fish, but no tartar sauce. Hands down one of the best quality buffets I've tried for the normal buffet price range. The food tasted like the chefs really cared and sometimes that makes all the difference in a restaurant. Desserts bar was fantastic (I had the tiramisu and Chinese cheesecake, both were delicious), even the usual buffet stables (fries, chicken nuggets, etc) tasted better than anywhere else. Feeling piggy and decided to try this place out. However upon arrival, this buffet seems marketed to a lower class clientele. Saw the employees passed out at the dinner booths which was our first welcoming sight. Another later on just sitting in the bathroom stall dead quiet, probably also passing out. Lots of fried food and low end cheap food fillers on this buffet. The sushi was stereotypical of what their mass audience must think sushi is which includes lots of rice and cream cheese fillers or nigiri that their fish on offer are the cheapest kind to have. All the decent standard hot dishes were all old and cold which made them inedible and a total waste for them and for us because we threw away several plates of food and left unsatisfied. Took a peek at their Mongolian grill set up and wouldn't dare think of putting our health at further risk as to getting free salmonella as an unwanted add on. Beware there! The only saving grace was the soft serve ice cream machine, yet I'd be scared to check how they clean it or how often they don't. Won't be back. read more

In Dallas from out of town and decided to stop by King Buffet. Not impressed. Only about 6 items on the buffet looked appetizing, and the crab legs were extremely small. Found a BOGO 50% off coupon so we tried this place out on a Monday night. We got here around 8pm and the restaurant wasn't crowded. The restaurant is fairly new. The buffet area is clean and well-stocked. Good selections of hot and cold dishes and they tasted good. I like that most dishes are not overly salty like other buffet places. On the other hand, if you're used to run-of-the-mill Chinese buffets you might think their food is bland. Outstanding dish is the clams in black bean paste & chili sauce. They cleaned the clams right so there aren't any sandy bits in the sauce like I had at other buffet places. Fried blue crabs is pretty tasty too. Hot and sour soup is a little too starchy for my liking. Hubby tried their sushi and think they were decent. Nice selections of fruits and they have ice cream too. Our waiter is attentive - clearing our plates promptly and refill water periodically. Only time will tell if they can maintain the cleanliness and consistency in food quality since that seems to be the main issues with buffet places. One big plus: They have hand sanitizer dispensers installed throughout the restaurant. I'm no germophobe but like to sanitize my hands after returning from the buffet from touching all the tongs. I have never written a review before but I feel I need to share my experience. It was my daughter's birthday so, I called and made reservations that cost $40 for 6 pm. My husband, daughter and I arrived at 5:50 pm. I was told the manager was get our tables ready. My guess started arriving close to 6pm we waited, 6:25 came and I asked again if our tables were ready? They said 5 more minutes, ok I'll wait. Had to ask again, then they said yes and my group of 17 people that I reserved tables for followed the waitress to dirty tables that someone had just left. We had to ask them to clean the tables before sitting down. As we where eating one of the waiters spilled a drink on one of my guest and walked away. (He didn't get the manager). I had to apologized to her and I was told by one of my guests that a waiter told them if they wasted food there will be a extra $5 charge to their meal. ( We haven't even sat down yet and why would you only tell one family) We all paid our bills separately. As we were leaving one of the waiters came to me and asked for more tip because our group was too big and each family should have paid him more tip! What!? First off this waiter came over to my table only a couple of times. For this reason I will never go to Kings buffet on Technology Blvd. The WORST service I have ever had. read more
