The reason for the 4 is that the upcharged high price items were often out because the minute fresh came out people loaded up their plates and all crab legs , lobster and short ribs were gone before anyone could get any. They stagger them coming out ao you will eat other dishes which are available at any Chinese buffet. The lobster would've been better just steamed or put in like a spicy boil bag. I didn't like sauce at all. Short ribs were good but very small. Crab legs are served cold instead of steamed so not my favorite. No oysters ever came out , so we didn't get those. This place is the hot girl of buffets, and I recommend it to everyone. We went around 7 p.m. on a Friday and, surprisingly, had no wait for a party of four. The place is huge, but it definitely fills up fast. I called ahead, and they told me they take reservations, just not for the same day, so keep that in mind if you're planning ahead. The service was great too. Obviously, you don't get the same level of attention as a traditional sit-down restaurant since you're grabbing your own food, but the staff was constantly clearing plates, refilling drinks, and keeping everything clean. They ran out of crab, but they were the small kind that takes a lot of work. I finally got to try this Asian buffet for lunch on Friday. The price was $23 including tax and tip if you don't order a drink other than water. For that price, I felt like the variety and quality was good. There is so much variety in fact that you will not have room in your stomach to be able to try all the items. I would recommend walking around the entire buffet if it's your first time and then strategically picking items you like the best first. I started off with the nigiri sushi first. The chef was making them fresh at the bar and kept the buffet plates full. The flavor/quality was good and I enjoyed that they did not add wasabi. The yakatori was one of my favs. I tried both the beef and pork belly and they were both delicious. You could really taste the smoke from the charcoal. This item did require a little waiting. They had a wide variety of items for dessert, including fruit and cakes, a chocolate fountain, and even sherbet. I was especially happy to find some authentic dishes like oyster pancake, taro sago dessert drink, and more. My favorite was the sweet fried sticky rice cake--so good! I've been here twice now and have had a pleasant experience overall. One issue, though, was with one of the waitresses. She stood very close to our table for extended periods, close enough to hear our conversations, which made us uncomfortable. Yes, they have lobster, and it is served to you which I think is great for portion control. However, the snow crab legs are not, which is why there were never any time I checked. The shrimp are HUGE. The roast pork and korean short ribs were stand outs for me. Dim sum needs to be improved. The desserts including different cut up fruits and little cakes were good. They have ice cream bars! If you play it right when you go, it has the potential for greatness: Vibe: Huge open space, much like its dim sum predecessor. Medium loud K Pop music, bright lights, lots of people milling about, and a lot of food set up in the back portion of the room in an organized, well managed way, not easy to do for an operation of this scale. Service: A hard working woman is assigned to a section of this place, and she (they, in total, about 12-15 of them for the whole place) keep your drinks fresh, shuttle away your spent dishes, and take your payment when you're ready to surrender to the fullness of your waxing belly. The lady assigned to me was excellent, observant and good natured. Food Selection: There is something here for everyone, an enormous range of Asian cultures (plus some tried and true gringo faves, like fried chicken, catfish, and potatoes) represented in the 100+ stations where the dishes were set up, each easy to access for cleaning up customers' drips and drops and easy refreshes when volumes run low. You will find fundamentally more proteins, veggies, fruits, and desserts than you can imagine, including stations that will prepare a stir fry on a flat top grill with ingredients you select and hand to the grillmeister. Food Quality: Generally better than I expected. I saw nothing that looked like it had been sitting out too long, helped in large part to LOTS of people scooping it all up, in an always brisk/crowded line. I was there from about 11:15-12:00, and it was filling up when I arrived and packed when I left. However, the biggest issue was the availability of food throughout our entire meal--75% of the sushi options were empty, ginger scallion lobster was rationed, fresh seafood (snow crabs and oysters) disappeared immediately, etc. I even had to ask for extra lemons because the large bowl was depleted. I was excited to hear about a new seafood buffet that opened nearby, and after seeing all the rave reviews, I dragged my friends along to check it out. I usually don't like going during a soft opening since I understand there are still a lot of things to work on, but this place needs a lot more fixing before they can deliver what was promised. The price was $35 for the weekend, which wasn't bad compared to Osaka $50. The second we sat down, I went straight for the lobster and crab legs since I knew those would go fast. Luckily, I got there right when they refilled the tray and was able to grab a couple of pieces. There were no stone crab, crab legs, or oysters left by the time we went for a second round, and that was around 8:45 PM. I grabbed a couple of crawfish as well, but they were mostly dead or tasted weird. DISCLAIMER: The photos taken were during the 1-hour wait for seating, so around 7 PM; hence why most of the food is still available. What frustrated me the most was the fact that they stopped refilling food around 8:40 PM, even though the restaurant closes at 10:30 PM. That's way too early to stop serving fresh food, especially when our party, and many others, had just sat down after the dinner rush. I was able to get a couple of lobster pieces, but my friends couldn't get any due to the long line. I was looking forward to trying the rest of the dishes, but almost nothing was available by 9 PM, including dessert! The only things left were the ice cream bars. No fruit, cotton candy, cakes, etc. I was shocked at how empty the trays were and just wandered around mindlessly trying to find something to pick at. Given the number of dishes I sampled, the price felt fair for the value -- especially if you take advantage of the buffet format to try a little of everything. I can see why some people are frustrated though, because they only come in for lobster & crab where the line is long & not refill as often. Ok, this place was a bit of a drive. But I'm so glad I went. The wait time was not as bad as I thought. About 10 minutes or so but I was a small party. Service was very attentive and friendly. This is one of the best buffets in the dfw. If you're coming mainly for the lobster, you will be disappointed. They have a server portioning it out, so you don't get to pick your own, and you're given just two to three small pieces each time. Most underrated item here is the snow crab legs. They're big and the meat is firm. They also have Dungeness crab, stone crab claws, and crawfish, grilled oysters. The dim sum selection is good, and there's also a noodle bar and a skewer station. Overall, there's a huge variety of Chinese dishes that you don't typically see at other Chinese buffets. We went at 4pm on a Saturday and no wait, a line started forming around 5:30pm. read more

Should change the name to crouching tiger hidden seafood. Crabs are hardly available and when they come out are gone within seconds. Snow crab legs are put out in small buckets so people crowd around just waiting. Lobster which is supposed to be the premium item is mushy (questionable weather fresh or not) so when these came out there was no line. Rock crabs are in plentiful but like lobster have mushy meat. The rest of the food is just OK. Other buffets have better quality dishes. The beef and chicken seem over saturated in cornstarch/baking soda to make low grade items tender. Never going back. $26/person for food that is never out there is not worth it. read more

Rough reviews.. I mean it's 3.5 for the variety and novelty. But don't feel the need go back again. The real star is the seafood because I think other chinese / Asian buffets have similar stuff. This is actually the first Chinese / non sushi buffet that I've been to in the area... Came for a weekend price special ($30). I think the price has increased now though. Lunch time was busy but seated immediately. Like others have mentioned, you get in line for the lobster and someone serves you a few pieces. and yes they are cut up which makes sense because they have to serve a lot of people! This means if you want more lobster you have to keep getting up. Flavor wise it was ok. not as good as ordering a regular dish. but makes sense because they are cranking it out. The stone crab was a pass for me. But to me, crab is too much work for little meat. Same with the crab legs which were smaller than I thought they would be. it is over ice. I enjoyed the raw oysters (not refilled too often) and the grilled oysters (which took a while to cook and only got 2 during the whole time I was there.) Sushi bar: my friends thought the sashimi was off. I still had it and it was fine... nothing amazing. The sushi roll selection left a lot to be desired sadly. I don't know.. they need more rolls with raw fish and not just crab and tempura?? I hope they improve this but this is not their specialty for sure. dim sum: one of the shrimp dumpling had VERY little shrimp / it was all mush. I had to get a 2nd one to be sure because all I tasted was the wrapper. Other cooked hits: some of the stir fried pepper beef (?), galbi (korean bbq short rib), clams, ginseng chicken soup. There was another sweet sauce meat dish I liked but it was too sweet.. Didn't try the made to order noodle bar but looked good. Dessert was ok. My kids are usually picky, but they liked Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. They each even had 2 - 3 plates of things. Snow crab and cocktail shrimp was fresh, lobster wasn't disappointing, very chewy. The service was good for a buffet. They do can around and pickup your plates pretty quickly. The restaurants were bright and seem clean since it is still pretty nice. The wait is kinda long during dinner hours. read more
