My husband and I decided to visit King Buffet on a Tuesday afternoon during lunch time, and we were not disappointed in the least! Service was quick and fast, and the hostesses were all very friendly right as you walk in. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of seating, and booths and tables were available upon request. The buffet spread was plentiful, with a variety of options that are labeled by sections both overhead by large signs, and labeled over each item. Our favorite was definitely the Mongolian Station (with plenty of protein/veggie/sauce options), the Steamed Salmon with ginger, and the Panfried Dumplings with dumpling sauce! Their desserts certainly hit the spot at the very end too, and if you haven't tried it yet, I absolutely recommend indulging in a Fried Donut with some ice cream for a sweet last bite! read more

I have sworn off buffets because of previous experiences but today I decided to go here because I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. This is the first buffet place that I been to that had a wait time for a table. The wait time for me was about 10-15mins. Inside was very clean I noticed that they were constantly refilling the food and due to the amount of traffic the food was fresh because it went quickly. My favorite part of the buffet is the seafood surprisingly the seafood and sushi was extremely fresh. The shrimp tasted as if it just came out the ocean that day. The Hibachi station is as a bit confusing but I had fun working through the confusion to finally getting my dish made to order. I will definitely go here again !!! read more

Food was average at best, at least it was somewhat warm. The prices are however anything but acceptable . I paid almost $70 for two people and not only that the lady who took our drinks kept rushing us . She not only kept giving us refills of what was supposed to be "soda" but tasted more like dirty tap water with a semi fizz even when we told her no more was needed . She was staring at our table most of the time and with that making us feel uncomfortable to eat or get up from our table . It wasn't even 30 minutes from when we were seated and she handed us the bill . Not only charging us wrong but still insisting on tipping when she had made us feel so uncomfortable in that establishment . Again food is mediocre ,prices are high . For those who like Chinese buffet but don't want to drive that far to Plano, King buffet in Dallas is a good option. They offer standard Chinese menu, fresh sushi bar and order-to-make Mongulian BBQ. In addition, every Friday and Saturday they have the all you can eat crab legs. Not bad for the very reasonable price! They are medium sized and have a good flavor (sometimes too salty). I regular saw the manager or top chef come out calling for refills on various food. My only complaint was I think we had a new waiter and didn't get our drinks filled once until we asked. Today was our first time in Texas. This was our first restaurant that we tried. We were so disappointed!!!. A roach crawled down into our booth. We alerted our waitress. She came over and killed it. I had only eaten my first plate. After that I lost my appetite. So we got ready to leave. The waitress said tell them at the checkout. We did and was spoken to very very rudely. This place is what buffet dreams are made of!!! The quality & price can't be beat. We like to come on Friday or Sat for the all you can eat crab legs for $16. I come here often for the dinner/crab legs. Today was a really bad experience. Our server (Tony) was completely rude and unapologetic. There was some miscommunication with the price of lunch and dinner which led Tony to demand that our table to pay immediately. Now that all that food has digested, I can gladly say this King Buffet is a FRESH and REFRESHING change of pace as far as buffets go! There are a lot of them and they offer similar items but sometimes the freshness isn't there. The servers and kitchen personnel were on top of their game keeping the food replenished and the tables clear. I have been to some buffets where the plates stack up and you run out of space very quickly. You ask for the table to be cleared and they look at you like you asked them to commit a crime! Not at King Buffett! As soon as they see you set a plate aside or get up for another round, they are right there asking if it's ok to clear! YES Please and THANK YOU! They have a Mongolian Grill and they had my FAVORITE FLAVORS! It was nice being able to make my own bowl without all the undue pressure you find at another establishment that shall remain nameless! But y'all know where I'm talking about! What was surprising about King Buffet is we had to take a number before we could get seated! The place was packed! However, the wait wasn't long. They manage to turn the tables pretty quickly. They aren't rude about it either. The server subtley brings your bill and fortune cookies after about the third round of food! Slick! Honestly I wasn't impressed. The sushi looked old..it had totally lost any sheen to it..looking truly sad. The beef was undercooked. There were some good items..the fries,fried rice, our friends loved the Crawfish (I think he ate the whole lot from the buffet in fact). What I love about my experience here is the staff keeps the bar well stocked. I went on a Saturday evening. They serve snow crab legs on Friday and Saturday nights for dinner. Dinner begins at 3:30 p.m. The crab legs are served cold with hot salt free butter. If you are looking for seasoned crab legs, you may wish to add salt and pepper to your butter. The crabs are steamed and served cold. I noticed a sign near the crab legs informing customers if they wish to have their crab legs heated they will accommodate for an extra $1.00 per plate. Unlike most Chinese restaurants where they advertise crab legs but only put legs out every hour, this place delivers lots of crab legs upon the tray being significantly low. No extreme waits. Another reason for the five star rating is for the place being new and clean. I recommend it for Chinese buffet lovers. read more

We were by the back window and the way they organized the tables for this large party basically corralled is in at the back of the room, waiter was too busy to bring us refills and opted stacked up. This is the best buffet I've had in Dallas. They have a large selection with sushi and seafood. A chocolate fountain and clean bathrooms.

I really love the selection of food at this buffet. They always strive to keep things fresh and presentable. The waiters are always very attentive. You should really walk around once before putting food on your plate because they have so much to offer. They have a sushi bar, a Mongolian grill area, chocolate fountain, fruit bar, and on Saturdays after 330 is all you can eat crab and it is PLENTIFUL. Their various chicken selections are great. There is a great variety of food from 10+ choices of sushi to pizza, vegetables, noodles, egg drop soup, fruits, a salad bar, wings, roast beef, as well as a magnolia bar. Our server was very attentive to our needs. If I could go back for anything it would be the sushi. I would probably stray away from the pizza it feels very boxed/microwaved, as well as the ice cream it's just a little to watered down for me and my families liking. My family and I usually visit this place because of how much we love crab legs however at our last visit I encountered a waitress taking out crab legs from a trash bin. We knew it was a trash bin because we saw other stuff in there not just crab legs . We were seated a booth or two away from where they have the fountain drink area so we kept observing them and they were separating the crab legs in two different stacks one were they were still whole and one were it was just pieces left .
