They eventually delayed us 45 minutes anyway, but there was no effort on their end to help or accommodate--everything felt like it was on us to figure out. When we finally got out on the course, everything was backed up. We tried to keep pace by skipping a few holes, thinking we could make it up later--especially since it's a nine-hole course and we could've easily replayed holes 1 and 2. Instead, we were escorted off the course. The whole situation could have been handled with basic customer service and common sense. Instead, it felt rigid and unwelcoming. The staff seemed inexperienced and lacked the ability to problem-solve or take care of regular customers. Really disappointing experience all around.

The course itself is beautiful and has a great layout, but the pace of play was unacceptable. We spent the entire day waiting on nearly every shot, and there appeared to be little to no effort to manage the flow of play. Despite paying approximately $150 for the round, there were no marshals actively monitoring the course or addressing the bottlenecks. The pace became so frustrating that our group decided to stop playing after the 14th hole and leave rather than continue. Golf is supposed to be enjoyable, and after hours of standing around waiting, it simply wasn't. For a premium-priced golf course, I expect better course management and customer service. The course has tremendous potential, but until pace of play and customer experience become priorities, I would have a hard time recommending it.

As for the rooms have very much to be desired. There are no real handicapped amenities, don't sit on the beds besides the weight of a feather. All the outlets are very old and if your devices stop working, it's probably the outlet let the plug fall out. They seem to eat in the bar area only. As alchohol makes me sick, I only ate there once. Prices are decent considering the rest of the town is overpriced so the penny pinching Board of Directors in Hollister must be slipping the money in their pockets. The have another opening for BOS. But honestly, who would want to be on the Board of Supervisors in SBC. With the thousands of new homes installed without proper drinking water, their plan is to charge you for the water you drink and that's how the charge you for your sewer services. I wouldn't drink the water here, and I don't think anyone does. The sewage goes thru a processing of sorts, mix it back with about 10-30 percent clean water and sell it back to you as DRINKABLE. Buy the bottles water and avoid drinking or bathing in the local water as they still find contaminants including pill, narcotics that people have flushed down the sewer. If you get a rash, or physically sick theu have a brand new 25 bed hospital for you to go to. And if your sick, you'll just have to go home and pray for the best. If you die, SORRY. If you end up needing a larger than child size MRI, YOU'LL either have to be transported by Ambulance the 1 hour to either Salinas or San Jose. While we're on the subject, if you work in the Bay Area you will probably have to leave at about 4am to get to the San Jose Bay Area. This might have been a little town, with a few roads leading out for the Fruits and Vegetables. But now that the state has mandated that we add 25000 homes, and Destroy the land that used to supply crops, and food to 1/8 of America's you'll have to start looking elsewhere for food at a much higher price. And don't forget on that 2 hour plus commute back to what was once Beautiful Hollister to stop and get gas on the way home. COSTCO'S only 45 minutes away, so you won't lose much time if you fuel up on the way home. But be careful. Our new road construction has added multiple ROUND A BOUTS. One we call Accident hill and the other we call bumper call circle. Both are pretty dangerous as new, unexpected ones are coming in daily as we get ride of those old stop lights. It keeps our intrepid firefighters, ambulances and police plenty of work to be done instead of catching those thieves breaking into cars. And that's a reminder, DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR CAR. LOCK IT UP, INSIDE THE LOCKED UP GARAGES. You never know when those thieving Salinas,Bay Area, or Central Valley will come looking for a place to scam to break into. They may even be wearing matching Jackets and badges saying they work for a power company. So be watchful of those sneaking around your property and that of your neighbors early in the morning or late at night. Whenever you come, make sure you're safe. Because a 2x4 up side your head is not what your looking for in beautiful Hollister.

I have family that lives in Ridgemark and this "hotel" is walking distance to their home and they offer dog friendly rooms. As a customer in a dog friendly room, I do not expect pristine conditions, however I do expect clean bed linens. On my most recent stay over the holidays I was horrified when I arrived at my room after midnight on Christmas Eve, pulled down the bedding and found garbage and dirt!!!! The bed was made perfectly- what gives?? Because it was the holidays I made do and slept on a flat sheet borrowed from family on top of the comforter ( also dirty ). I requested clean bedding the next day and put the matter aside until check out 3 days later. Then two days later I returned to the room with a cigarette in the bathroom on the toilet paper- really??? Upon check out I spoke with the manager and she explained there was problems with the guest prior to me and apologized for the problems. Initially she said a nights lodging could not be refunded, but eventually credited us one night of our stay and advised me the money was coming out of her pay? She also said they'd do better next time. I really hope they do. Like I said I really want to like this place.

While I'm not a member here, I'm lucky enough to have friends who are. You must own a home or lot here in order to join the country club, which makes it that much harder to become a member. From the moment you drive up to the clubhouse, it's like magic. There are a team of people to take your clubs, take your car and get you anything you want. Upon arrival, I jokingly responded to the standard "Is there anything I can get you?" with a request for a double mocha and some scones. Five minutes later while walking up to the driving range, a young man showed up with, you guessed it, a double mocha and two freshly baked scones. The course will eat you alive, period. It's a whopping 143 slope from the back tees. The course is a little quirky, similar to Tehama, simply because it was cut into the hills of a rancho. However, it is much more straightforward than Tehama and despite the difficulty, a much more enjoyable trek. The 18th hole has one of the most IN-SANE forced carries I've ever seen in my life. While we were playing the Gold tees, you need to at least walk up to the Black tees to see the almost incomprehensible drive needed to make the fairway. Needless to say, I ended up taking a drop as my drive failed to clear the huge canyon. Beg, borrow or steal to play this course at least once in your life. I can't begin to say how fortunate I feel to have played here, and I'm looking forward to coming back. During an entire 18-hole round, we saw one other golfer. Not another foursome, just one lone golfer. We stopped for lunch at the 12th hole for 30 minutes, and no one came up behind us. Have drinks on the patio after your round and enjoy the beautiful surroundings to cap off an incredible experience before driving back home to reality.

It blocked our entire view of anything from our hotel window. That sucked, especially considering we chose this room for its privacy and quiet. We brought this up to the front desk, and while the staff member was polite(ish), he only offered a 7% discount, which felt pretty dismissive given the situation.  It's really disappointing because we know this hotel can offer a great experience, we've stayed before. But this time, it felt like they didn't care about the guests because the wedding was going to bring in more money. If you're considering staying here for a quiet getaway, I'd strongly recommend confirming there are no events happening near your room. We suggest staying at White Water or El Colibri instead!

It's 6 holes total with one Par 4 and the rest are 100-145 yards (par 3). The restaurant is great service was good and the food was bomb had the cowboy cubano with pulled pork and brisket totally new to me but it was delicious. Can't wait to go back.
