Came here for the seafood boil and left mostly satisfied. Got the headless shrimp with the "Juicy" flavor -- a blend of all their seasonings -- and it was genuinely good, solid 8/10. The Cajun fries held their own too. Prices are fair, actually a bit cheaper than comparable spots in SD, and the space itself is large, clean, and nice inside. We were seated quickly with no wait. That said, a few things brought the experience down. The staffing was clearly not enough for the volume of guests -- as the night picked up, service noticeably slowed, and it felt like the waiters were stretched thin through no fault of their own. That's a management issue. The sausage portion options are oddly limited too -- only a half pound or full pound, nothing in between, which feels unnecessarily restrictive. Biggest miss: the calamari. One bite and I was done -- it had "frozen grocery store bag" written all over it. Skip it entirely. The garlic bread is in the same boat, obviously store-bought, though it's passable enough. Quite literally one of the worst crab boil AND service experience I've ever had. Sean, my server, made my dining experience twice as long as it needed to be. First, he comes over within a minute of me sitting down and I say I need a few minutes to decide which he responds by not coming back for 10+ minutes! Then he takes my order and I get my food but then I have to wait for him to bring the utensils?! Then, I get the utensils and I'm eating and I'm real realizing this food sucks!! There's no seasoning, it's literally just a bag of seafood and oil smh. I tried to get his attention so I can get some salt and pepper and it took him over 15 minutes to come over to me?!!!!!!!! Whole time I'm waiting this dude is cleaning dirty tables that are empty!!!!!!!! Mind you, after it took him super long to come back the second time, I asked for a new server and instead of obliging management said he was new and that I should just stop anyone that's walking by and ask for what I need and then proceeded to just sent me over a drink from the bar that I didn't order?? Decided to randomly stop by this spot and I am glad I did. It is a cute little place in a strip mall in Point Loma and conveniently located right off the I 8 exit. I ordered the King Crab Jumbo Combo for $130. It came with 1 lb snow crab legs, 1 lb crawfish, 2 lb shrimp (head off), 1 lb green mussels, 3 eggs, 6 corn, 6 potatoes, and half a pound of sausage. The menu says it feeds two to three people, but honestly it was more than enough for four to five. The portion was very generous. The flavoring was great. One thing to note though is that their "spicy" is more like a medium level spice. So even if you order spicy, expect something closer to mild to medium heat. Service was fine. Nothing spectacular but exactly what you would expect from a seafood boil place. You do most of the work cracking everything open while the staff keeps drinks and refills coming. I came here last week with my family. We like coming here on special occasions because we love the service, quality of food and prices. This occasion was my dad's birthday, we were a party of 6 and this place is great since it's so spacious for bigger parties. For parties of 6 or more gratuity is included which is very normal and to be expected. I'm not sure if that's why our server decided to neglect us since her tip was already included, but we were disappointed in her. Food came out quick, food was great and flavorful, the cooks in the back did a great job. However our server, Maria, basically abandoned us once our food came out. Never checked on us, didn't fill out waters. We kept having to ask the other server for things, which they did tell her to check on us but, that shouldn't be their problem when we were her table. And probably her only table since it wasn't busy in there at all when we came. My husband and I used to be servers so we know how it is, and we would HAPPILY tip on top of gratuity if the service was amazing. She also never cleared our table or little trash cans when they got full. Liked the casual vibe and saw lots of seating available for large groups. Sandwich was really good filled with an abundance of crispy shrimp, lettuce, tomato, pickles and mayo. The bread was warm and toasty but not the French bread that I was used to when growing up on the MS Gulf Coast. The restaurant is HUGE. There is so many tables inside and the parking outside is ample. I got the gumbo and it was so perfectly seasoned with a good amount of spice. My party also ordered the peach smoothie and the brown sugar milk tea and both were solid. The sesame balls were also soft and sweet/savory. For the seafood boil itself, we got 1/2 a pound of both black and green mussels. A pound of snow crab, 2lbs of shrimps, a pound of sausage, and we had some corn/potatoes. We had it mixed with the juicy medium spice sauce which wasn't too bad. I could have gone for the spicier option but the seasoning was good! The service was top tier though. TERRIBLE service. After we paid, our first server didnt seat us down and instead completely walked away. We had to ask a different person that spoken to the first one if we can sit at the booth because we didnt know if we could or not. Delicious seafood boil and great service! Our party of 4 went on Monday night and were seated right away. Tony, the owner, made us feel welcome immediately and we even chatted for a bit. All the staff were very friendly and also prompt when we needed anything. There are a lot of different selections on the menu, we ordered 2 specials and 1 dozen oysters. When I tell you the oysters were super fresh and big, you have to order them if you love oysters. The seafood was very fresh, the shrimp was nice and plump as well. We ordered the medium spice level but it was quite spicy! In addition to the seafood, we also tried the chicken wings - they were juicy and crispy. Definitely recommend. There's also a full bar at the front of the restaurant in case you're looking for some refreshments. They're very generous with the margarita! Tried it for the first time on a Tuesday night. It wasn't packed, which was nice and relaxing. We were greeted and sat down immediately by the friendly staff. The interior was pleasant and huge. Music played overhead but was turned down low enough to just give it a nice ambiance. We ordered the King Crab Jumbo Combo and we were surprised to have it served in a BIG party tray. There was no way 2 people could finish all the food so we had plenty of leftovers. Chose medium spice level and the Juicy Special seasoning. Taste-wise, it was very good but I would have to say I can name 2-3 other seafood boil places that were better tasting. But we still enjoyed it and would go back if we are back in the area. It was our last night in Diego I had taste for a Shrimp Po Boy sandwich and Cajun fries. I ordered one for $15, my wife ordered a Fried catfish basket with Cajun Fries for $15, my daughter got the kids 2pc Chicken Tender basket with Sweet Potato Fries for $8.50 and my mom got the Catfish Po-Boy Sandwich for $15. The facility much bigger than expected. My sandwich was pretty good, not a lot of shrimp, could use a bit of seasoning on the breading, but the sauce, bread, lettuce and tomato was great! My wife really wanted a catfish with shrimp basket but they don't offer it and we couldn't just add shrimp without buying a seperate basket. They had no toilet seat covers and there was feces in one of the stalls. I saw a worker come in and she glanced at it, washed her hands, and didn't even think to flush it. Maybe that's not her job, but they should still keep in cleanly. Bathrooms are very big for me because you can tell a lot about the establishment. Then we got our food and me and my friend got special B and C. I really like their juicy special mild. Their food was very flavorful, however they barely put any sauce/ marinade. Halfway done with my food, the bag had no more marinade and I dipped in my friends bag, which had little left as well. For what you pay, I feel like they should definitely add more sauce because my food was starting to dry out. In addition, our server was very kind, but she did not check on us once for how our food was or if we needed refills. If the restaurant was busy, we would completely understand, but there was only 6 ppl max in the restaurant when they can sit almost 60+ people. When I first searched for crab restaurants this place popped up with a negative review and the post cried discrimination and didn't really make sense but showed a messy table with a confusing receipt. So it made me want to share my experience. The food was amazing cooked just right and in a decent amount for the price. A bang for your buck! We came on a Sunday night and it was pretty quiet but the service was nice and friendly and fast! This place is huge! There are so many tables. We ordered the crab meat fries, a pound of Dungeness crab, half pound of shrimp and clams. Everything tasted great! I ordered a special combo with their "Juicy" house sauce (medium spice), but the sauce was very oily and lacked flavor. The sausage tasted more like a boiled hot dog, and overall the seafood, potatoes, and corn were all bland. It seemed like everything was boiled in plain water rather than seasoned broth. I usually order rice just to eat it with the sauce, but it was so oily and bland that I couldn't eat the rice. Service was just okay. We were a party of six and ordered three combos ($100+ each), but only received three crab cracker tools. When we asked for more, they only brought one extra. We also had to request seafood splitter/ scissors separately, and they gave us just one pair for the whole table who was all eating crab. They also have some of the best prices I've ever seen for this type of restaurant and their seafood is delicious. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and they were some of the freshest, most "meaty" oysters I have ever tasted. They were HUGE! I probably would have ordered a half dozen had I know they were going to be that large because it was just my husband and I dining. We also got Special E (added 2 eggs and a side of broccoli).
