I specifically went in because I needed a molar extracted of course they throw you could save it by getting a root canal. with our PPO it would have cost 5,687$ that's with blue cross anthem. well since my husband isnt working we paid out of pocket it would have been 2,670 for a root canal with no work insurance. how is it less out of pocket. I ended up paying 563$ for a extraction because it was infected. I was about to leave when the financial lady hold a stack of papers and says I have to give this very expensive bill to this patient . I honestly thought she was trying to put me down for being humble . she gave me pushy annoying judgmental vibes . i regret going back to that office I should have just gone to western dental. read more

Went in for a consult regarding a wisdom tooth pain, sat in the chair for a whole hour trying to get the correct x rays, finally the dentist comes in, exams my teeth and then tells me something in less than 20 secs while I'm still in the lower recline position and leaves. The only thing I appreciated was the knowledge of the financial consult lady, she took the time to tell me about the plan in detail and showed me my x rays scans and pointed out exactly what she was talking about. But I felt that this should've been the dentist's job. At the end, they were pretty pushy about setting up appointments so I just let them set it up and cancelled the appointments the next day after I got my second opinion. read more

Hands down the best dental experience I ever had. I haven't been to the dentist in a really long time. I was nervous but these people are helping me over come this.well today my back tooth cracked.. I knew what was coming.. but I called them this morning around 9 am and by 6 pm my tooth is fixed. They stayed late and did their job the best they could. Cut a front veneer off to get "an exact match", went without for 2 1/2 months, not even close! 5... Appts, They made me wait 2 1/2-3 hours, (what's the point of paying $500.00+ to "relax", if you sit all that time with anxiety)? They pulled ALL of my top/chewing teeth. Told me I had three cavities that would cost $316 AFTER insurance. I came in to have them filled, spent at most 3 minutes in the chair... they didn't numb my teeth, and he told me after I had paid and was in the chair that they weren't actually cavaties but instead just scuffs. He drilled, it hurt, and so he just put filling in them. A month later, I can barely eat because where he drilled hurts and is so sensitive. Also, he didn't fill the one cavities that was actually a cavity and the hole is visible. Worst dentist I've been to, and every other dentist office cringes when I say that I go here! Coming back several months later to update: this office charged me a portion of the bill that was due to my insurance. They then accepted payment from my insurance, which included an amount I already paid. I was never sent a refund from the office for the amount that my insurance covered. She was baffled and tried to lie through it. I absolutely do not trust this office and will never trust medical professionals the same after my experience here. read more

They're the reason I lost a whole tooth. They saw me for cleaning and exam 2 years ago, and did not get the whole cavity, so it continued to decay behind the filling. They saw me 3 times since then and failed to correct (once because their filling had chipped, once for another exam with X-ray and third exam with X-ray because they made me come without a dentist present). Now the cavity has gone past the bone line and infected the whole area all the way to my sinus. I had to spend hours of excruciating pain in another dentist chair, get my tooth extracted, be on antibiotics, 3 months with a whole in my mouth, will have to get an implant and pay out of pocket, all that was unnecessary if King's staff had be competent. I was told they also missed 4 cavities in my last 2 visits. They have to be shut down or at least scrutinize their staff read more

These people treat you like family. I had my dentures done here and everyone on staff was encouraging me to keep giving the dentures a chance,they encouraged me not to give up. I've had my dentures for two years now and they still fit without having to use addhesive. So when my daughter started to complain about her teeth hurting due to cold things there was only one place I wanted to take her to. Today she went in got her teeth checked out by Mary and it was an amazing experience. My daughter said that it was fun being there, she got to suction out her own mouth, she said it didn't hurt at all when they did the cleaning. My daughter really enjoyed being here and Mary explained everything to her where my daughter could understand what she needed to do at home to take care of her teeth. She explained to her what happens when you don't take care of your teeth. It's just so amazing having these people here to help. They truly care about their patients and it hurts my heart that there are bad reviews for this office when everyone on the team is so wonderful and caring. Had to cancel a procedure due to an emergency and because I didn't cancel two days in advance they charged me $50 for every hour they had me booked for(2 hours). When I tried to see if there was anything they could do, the lady at the front desk said I'll see what I can do and call you back. She never called me back and I got a bill for $100 in the mail. I needed some crown work done and I decided to give their office a chance. Suffice it to say, I'm very happy with my decision. The dentist there was pleasant and the work was top notch. I felt at ease throughout the procedure and their hygenist was VERY friendly. There was no pain and I felt well educated on the treatment I received. Needless to say, I'm very happy with my smile, as well. I'm only giving this review four stars because I did have to wait a little longer than I expected but, to be fair, it was worth the wait. They were pretty busy when I got there and I can see why. The work they do is great and the staff was very professional. If I could leave this guy 0 stars I would. My husband told them that he didn't want any work done unless they approved the cost with him. After lying to him and telling him the work would cost a certain amount and my husband after the fact they tried to charge him an additional 500 $ which they have put it in collections and are harassing me from 2011. Worst experience ever! They did work for me and I've had problems since. Not to mention they told me the work would cost me a certain amount after billing my insurance. Then when all my work was done I was billed extra since they said my insurance didn't cover. Over $250.00 extra. I went back over ten times so they can correct the mistakes. wow!! Worst experience of my life... I chose this dentist because I have major jaw pain from TMJ so dental work is really stress inducing for me. first off they didn't schedule me for a cleaning when I asked for that and my first consultation so I had to get a cleaning the day of my filling. The male hygienist injured the muscle where he injected the Novocaine because he injected it so fast (and there was no apology). I've had fillings before with my real dentist and he always goes slow and causes no pain. then the dentist (female), in the middle of my filling, asked what I needed and my response was "to please just finish" because I was in so much pain, got pissed off and threw down her tools and walked out of the room. She left me there with my mouth full of filling utensils. She still had finish and when she came back into the room she did not even apologize. I apologized to her that she got upset. I work in the healing field and, no matter what, I would never get upset or frustrated with a patient and walk out of the room. I would never blame a patient for my frustration. I spoke with the manager, who did apologize and promised that she would call me to let me know what the consequences for that dentist's behavior would be. of course, I never got a phone call. And, I never saw or even spoke to Dr. Richard King. This establishment promises a stress free environment. This was probably the MOST stressful experience I've ever had at any kind of doctor's office. and I had to pay the amount in full with no price reduction for the two weeks of pain they put in! read more

I came in for a teeth cleaning and checkup around Thanksgiving. I was traveling for the holidays and they were really great about accommodating my schedule. Lauren was the hygienist who did my cleaning and she did an awesome job. She listened to my concerns about having trouble keeping my mouth open for long periods of time and really made sure I was comfortable. She gave me a numbing mouthwash that seemed to help a lot. Their office is more concerned with billing and figuring out how I'm supposed to come up with what my insurance won't cover ("Don't you have some family or friends you can borrow a few hundred dollars from?") than explaining the procedures I was scheduled for. When I first walked into the office lobby, the woman behind the counter was openly discussing medical and financial information with a patient, including the poor woman's inability to pay for their services (who was visibly upset). I should have left immediately after seeing their complete disregard for patient privacy and confidentiality. Their policy for appointment cancelations (requiring 2 full business days) needs to be reworked to include weekends, as well. I had an appointment on a Friday and had been scheduled for an appoint on the following Tuesday, which I was unable to attend as I chose to see a different dentist instead. There would have been no possible way for me to cancel or reschedule within the time frame they required and yet they still billed me $50. Whoever answered the office phone when I called to address the fee had a snarky attitude about it, first threatening to not waive the fee because she didn't like the tone of my voice and stated that I "should have asked nicer." She eventually agreed to waive it after I mentioned going to the BBB. Lastly, they wanted to perform fillings on teeth that, as I learned in my appointment with a more reputable dentist office, didn't have cavities or decay that needed fixing or the expensive procedures that Dr King's office wanted to schedule me for. The woman on the phone apparently didn't take nicely to me mentioning this and, not being a doctor or dentist, still tried to explain whatever diagnosis I was given and treatment plans they had in mind for me. I don't expect a receptionist to have the qualifications or authority to do so. I'm still going to be in touch with the BBB and the dental board in regards to their shady business practices, and disregard to patient privacy, and HIPAA noncompliance. Avoid this office. read more

My husband and I came in on a last minute appointment on New Year's eve because our insurance was changing and realized we hadn't used the one we currently had. They were able to schedule my husband and I for back to back cleanings. The difficult part was that we are new parents and could not get a sitter. We brought our little one and hoped for the best. When my little one started crying, the office manager and assistants were nice enough to hold/rock her for me until the hygienist was done with me. They even gave me a break so I could feed her and resume afterwards. Talk about giving special treatment! We really really appreciated the care they gave us and Dr. King was patient and very courteous with us. We understand they have a business to run and I don't think we would have been treated the same had we been at another dentist's office. My husband doesn't really like going to the dentist and he can be very particular. When we left he said he really liked how gentle and well-versed Dr. King was plus the hygienist was very friendly. I went in for a root canal and a crown and was quoted a price only to be billed a different and higher price. The tooth they worked on has never been fully out of pain and now 2 yrs later i finally went to another dentist and found out they never even finished the root canal fully but left half of the root because my root is curved. They never informed me of this and put a cap over the top like it was fine. Now because of the bad work they did i will need surgery to remove part of my bone due to the severe infection it caused! This Dentist calls you for an appt, you schedule and then you need to cancel because you dont have the money to pay because I dont have insurance and times are tough and they want to CHARGE you $50 for a broken appt that hasn't even come up yet! They say 2 days to cancel. How could I if it was scheduled on a Friday late afternoon, closed weekends, and call in at 8am to cancel for next day and get the answering service.
