The food was delicious only thing that can improve is the fries could have seasoning on them but everything else is amazing !!!

I'm really starting to have mixed feelings about this place. I've been coming here for about two years now since it's right down the street from my job at SoFi Stadium. First off, parking is rough. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center with several other businesses sharing the same lot, so finding a space can be a challenge. Sometimes it's easier to park down the street and walk over. This also isn't really a sit-down-and-enjoy-your-meal kind of place. It's more of a grab-your-food-and-go spot. The reason I'm starting to feel differently is because the last few visits haven't been as consistent as they used to be. I remember seeing the owner around much more often, and the food quality seemed better. Lately, the fries have been darker, the fish portions sometimes feel a little small for the price, and it occasionally seems like the frying oil isn't being changed as often as it should be. The service is okay, but it's not always the friendliest. One thing I've noticed is that when I ask for the fresh house-made hot sauce instead of the prepackaged packets, it sometimes feels like I'm inconveniencing the staff, especially one guy in particular. Maybe that's not the intention, but it can come across that way. That said, I keep coming back for a reason. The fish still has great flavor, and I enjoy several of the sides. The mac and cheese is probably my favorite, the collard greens are solid, and the fries are satisfying when they're fresh. I'm hoping this place can get back to the consistency that made me a regular in the first place. read more

Everyone knows I love seafood so I was delighted to find this place stayed open till nine or 10 o'clock at night on the weekends. We drove in from El Segundo. The fish was cooked well, the outside was a bit overly crisp but the fish inside was soft and tender in a way that makes you want to eat an additional piece even when full. The best test of a fish market to me is eating it the next day. Is it soft? Check. Does it still have flavor? Check can I eat it cold or hot? Check. It didn't matter that it was cold I was able to get the same enjoyment as the night before. That makes this place alright by me. I wish they cook the fries 1-3 mins less so they weren't so dry a provide a better hot sauce cause the one they give isn't the business. read more

I truly wish I could leave no stars. I used to frequent this place, as my mom was a local business owner. I don't know if the food has gone downhill that bad, or if it was an off day. I ordered a catfish filet dinner through Grubhub. The potato salad was mashed potatoes with a bad consistency. I didn't enjoy the taste at all, like it was old. The fish left much to be desired. The two slices of bread were hard. Lastly, the fries were burnt in color and soggy from the moisture in the styrofoam container. I understand the risk you run with temperature of your food due to using a delivery service; however, as a business, have some integrity in the presentation of your food. Whoever packed my plate could obviously see the fries were overcooked, and a slight touch of the bread, you'd see it was stale, but they didn't care and packaged it up anyways. Never again! So I have been looking for a great tasting fried fish place and King Fish did not disappoint!! After multiple times going to the pizza spot in the same strip mall, I went in just to ask a few questions. The staff was nice, welcoming and answered all my questions. Plus gave me a card if I decided to come back and order. I came back with my wife and they have a slew of fresh fish waiting to be purchased for home cooking or they will cook your seafood per your request. I ordered a prefixed selection off the dinner menu on the wall. Which was nicely priced and came with 3 pieces of fish, shrimp, bread and your choice of 2 sides. I also seen they have a great selection of seasoning in case you want to add to your meal or cook at home. At the checkout, they also had some great deserts for purchase. I love me some fried fish and stick to my normal order regardless of the fish market; 8pc jumbo shrimp dinner, 4pc side of catfish. I'm a growing boy, what do you expect? The parking lot is tight, so its best you call and place your order ahead of time. They also sell mac and cheese and other deserts. I might try that next time. My family was in town for a graduation and we had about 20 people to feed. It was getting later in the day and I didn't think we'd find a place to accommodate a large order but I called King Fish and they were able to get us together. Craving some pizza but when you pull in and smell that fish how could I as and island man a Caribbean man say no, can't have my islands card taken awa. So I ordered pizza I got a lunch special fried snapper and a side of mac salad. After a little wait time. We were back at the hotel to chow down. The snapper was fresh and fried great not to hard and not dry yet it was mosit. My issue as with most fish spots is the seasoning, salt is not flavor it's salt and where as most of us in our communities love it, it don't love us back! The fries were put in the same Box as the fish and they were sweating and soggy 2 minutes after I received it. It also had a lack of seasoning. I have known about this place and gone here for some years now. Today was not a good day. Got family combo A, a jar of oysters and half pound of shrimp. Spent $112 and threw most of it away. Medium shrimp were fried way too hard, filet of sole was fried so long all the meat was fried right out of it, the catfish was fried so hard it looked more like sole. The fish was okay. It was not seasoned well and I ordered red snapper but it did not taste like it. I ordered a lunch and they told me it came with 5 pieces of fish. When I checked my order it was 4 pieces and few other broken pieces. The Asian man said the 5th piece fell apart, but actually they look like scrap pieces. I had to wait for them to cook me another piece, so my other food was cold. This is my go-to spot for fish. This is a local business where the people are always friendly and you get great food as well! When you first walk in you do not get that pungent fish smell that some other places have; which I stopped going to. They fry the fish and shrimp hard just the way I like it and they fill the plates up too. It is not a place that you can sit down and eat so it's an order to go only. I always call to order so the wait is not long if you call it in. Also, the parkign lot is small but there's always street parking available. My favorites are always the shrimp, catfish, filet of soul, and the fried oysters. The oysters are HUGE. I always ask for the jar of oysters because you get more that way. They fry them exactly right and they taste amazing. One surprising item that I enjoyed were their greens! The greens were really good and well seasoned! Is located in Inglewood right on Crenshaw this is one of the rare fish places or fish markets that is open until 10:00 p.m. in South central that is already 5 stars pending...because,, it is hard to get good hot fresh food and in South central after 9:00 p.m. so Bravo for giving the people what they want and need ! I called at 9:33 p.m. half expecting them to say they are taking no more orders because they're closing. you don't know how many restaurants in the area - even well known fast food c that close at 10 or supposed to close at 10 yet their grills are clean and cooled and kitchens closed at 9:30 so they won't take any more orders. I was very pleased to know this business is actually open until 10 They are taking orders and cooking and presenting orders until 10 and I got there to pick my food up at literally 9:55 pm. They were not anxious, angry, or short. They kindly greeted, asked my name, retrieved my order and gave me my total. I Also ended up grabbing a few items like the fresh bag of Camilla red beans which I love that brand when I cook red beans and rice that that Camilla brand is with the rose on it that's my favorite they had those on the shelf for sale they had little items like hot sauce and things like that but I also added a dessert a peach cobbler which I have not tried yet because I am stuffed and I grabbed a chilled Coke 0 and I devoured as much of The delicious food as I possibly could in my car in their parking lot.
