FAKE SHRIMP and TILAPIA not snapper with dry fries

I will NEVER order food from this place again. If it were up to me this place would be shut down by the BBB. The first red flag was when I called to place and order and was hung up on. I didn't think much of it and called back to order. The lady on the phone (Asian presenting slim woman with long black hair and glasses) had an attitude. I ordered a red snapper fish and shrimp combo and also a red snapper sandwich. I was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. I arrived to pick up my order and was told one of the twenties I handed her was not real. I was confused because I literally got the twenty from a grocery store after using a hundred to pay for my items. She continued to say the money wasn't real and wouldn't accept it. I should have known better and left right at this moment but I think the shame from being accused of something so petty and menial especially when I knew I hadn't done anything wrong made me go to my car to get a different bill to give her. AFTER ALL THAT, I still paid the stupid lady and was given my food. I opened it immediately while sitting in my car and could tell that it wasn't snapper. Before I could go and return the food the place was closed (literally lights off and gate closed). I will never go back to this place and I will die on the hill that this place is RACIST and should not be serving black food to black people in a black neighborhood if they have no real true appreciation for our culture.

Excellent fried fish spot in Inglewood. It's a theme, where they have a refrigerated case of fresh fish which you can choose to have fried on the spot for you. There's a smattering of these places around LA. I've been to about a half dozen lately, and this is one of the better ones I've been to. The whiting, sole and catfish are fine. The cornmeal batter is light and crisp, allowing the freshness of the fish to shine. The fried oysters are good, I believe they're from a jar, and that's fine by me. Fried chicken was good too. They have tasty sides -- French fries, collard greens, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, hush puppies. The hush puppies are excellent. Service was fast and efficient. Parking can be a little tight in this strip mall on what I'm calling Centinela Restaurant Row. Eee's n' Cee's is a couple doors over from Phillips BBQ and Harriet's Cheesecakes Unlimited, so the parking lot can get busy late in the afternoon. Give this place a try if you're in the mood for fresh fried fish!

I love Southern-style fried fish. That is why I was excited to see an old school "you buy we fry" establishment recently. I am sorry to say that I was a little disappointed There is very little parking and practically no seating. The fish selection was very fresh. The people were very friendly and took a moment to explain the menu. However, the the finished product left a little to be desired. We ordered catfish, buffalo, and red snapper. The fish was bland and over fried. Southern style food is never bland. If anything it is over-spiced, so this transgression was unforgivable.

NO STARS! Service was bad and the food made me sick. The only thing good was the trash-can near the front door to spit everything out.

I got there with my mother and was greeted by a very lovely gentleman named Clark. He told us we could sit wherever so we seated ourselves in the outside area. He came over right away with the menus and asked if we had been there before to which we responded had not. He went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. He was very sociable and friendly. We chatted with him and put in an order for the Kiwi Chowder. I ordered a Modelo and my mother ordered a glass of orange blend wine. He came over with the drinks a while later and the Kiwi chowder and have us plenty of time to sit and enjoy the dish before we ordered our main courses. The kiwi chowder was delicious and came with little crackers. The clams and mussels were so tasty and the Ora King Salmon was a nice treat. After a while he came back and served me the Fisherman's Mixed Basket and my mother got the Fish tacos with fish of the day for them being Sword Fish. The fisherman's basket was amazing and paired perfectly with my beer. I had never had clams, mussels, snapper, and oysters all together and they were so good I wish I could have them more frequently. The place was very cute and sat quietly with good music playing. Not current music but music that really fit the place and set the vibe. I will be coming back here and if you ever go, there is no bad choice for the fish, the service is stupendous and I haven't gotten anything like it in forever, and if you meet Clark enjoy a friendly conversation with him.

Unfortunately, the food isn't anything special. Decent portion sizes, but that doesn't matter much when nothing is very tasty. Place isn't exactly cheap either, for $26 I don't expect the battered to be soft and falling off the fish. The fish taco was huge, but dripping with liquid. Really wanted this place to work out, staff are friendly, but the food was a huge letdown.

**June 2026: Saturday Afternoon Visit**…read more I regularly visit the Yama in Alhambra and usually pick up salmon, yellowtail, and tuna sashimi, so I was excited to try this Los Angeles location since it offers bento boxes. I ordered the Yama Sushi West LA Bento Box Classic California ($18.49) and also added a salmon nigiri sushi a la carte to share ($19.49) since I'm a huge fan. The bento box was more than enough food, and I even had leftovers, which made it feel like an especially great value for the price. The bento box came with a Yama California roll, a refreshing somen noodle salad, and a generous serving of hot chicken katsu making it a really balanced meal. Everything felt priced appropriately for the quality and assortment, and I appreciated that it offered a healthier, more diverse lunch option. The market has a couple of two top tables inside and outside, plus a clean bathroom, which made the visit comfortable. Parking was okay. They have a small lot available for patrons. Overall, I'd definitely come back for another good, healthy meal.

The variety here is just so much better compared to the San Gabriel location. I felt that the Tuna Medley ($15.59) was a bit pricey for what it was and I don't recommend it. I came during peak lunch time on a Saturday and was surprised to find free parking in the parking structure just behind the shop. Service is great. They also have seating inside and outside. This is my favorite place to pickup sushi rolls from now on!

I'm really starting to have mixed feelings about this place. I've been coming here for about two…read moreyears now since it's right down the street from my job at SoFi Stadium. First off, parking is rough. The restaurant is located in a small shopping center with several other businesses sharing the same lot, so finding a space can be a challenge. Sometimes it's easier to park down the street and walk over. This also isn't really a sit-down-and-enjoy-your-meal kind of place. It's more of a grab-your-food-and-go spot. The reason I'm starting to feel differently is because the last few visits haven't been as consistent as they used to be. I remember seeing the owner around much more often, and the food quality seemed better. Lately, the fries have been darker, the fish portions sometimes feel a little small for the price, and it occasionally seems like the frying oil isn't being changed as often as it should be. The service is okay, but it's not always the friendliest. One thing I've noticed is that when I ask for the fresh house-made hot sauce instead of the prepackaged packets, it sometimes feels like I'm inconveniencing the staff, especially one guy in particular. Maybe that's not the intention, but it can come across that way. That said, I keep coming back for a reason. The fish still has great flavor, and I enjoy several of the sides. The mac and cheese is probably my favorite, the collard greens are solid, and the fries are satisfying when they're fresh. I'm hoping this place can get back to the consistency that made me a regular in the first place.

The fish was cooked well, the outside was a bit overly crisp but the fish inside was soft and tender in a way that makes you want to eat an additional piece even when full. The best test of a fish market to me is eating it the next day. Is it soft? Check. Does it still have flavor? Check can I eat it cold or hot? Check. It didn't matter that it was cold I was able to get the same enjoyment as the night before. That makes this place alright by me. I wish they cook the fries 1-3 mins less so they weren't so dry a provide a better hot sauce cause the one they give isn't the business.
