Wilfredo at Jacob Fence was the only one of the 4 that showed me all the different options in the bid he provided. His bid was also much much more detailed than the other company's bids. TIMING: Jacob was able to get my project schedule quite quickly. His schedule was as fast or faster than the others who bid COMMUNICATION: Wilfredo was very good about keeping me in the loop on this project. From email and text mssgs he let me know when he was arriving, how permits where coming along, when the crew would arrive etc. I always knew what was going on with Jacobs. SERVICE: Jacobs offered to take care of the permit for me since he was near the city office. Great! Then an issue came up with the permit and Wilfredo was helpful and patient as we went back and forth trying to resolve the city's issues. And because of the permit issues we needed to adjust our plans for the fence and Jacobs was great about working with me to redo bids, adjust etc. WORKMANSHIP: On the day of the install, the crew arrived on time, got busy very quickly and in the end did a nice quality, tidy job. I'd requested some things be done in a very specific way that was a little different than normal. I was concerned that a contractor might not do a great job with steps that were divergent from their typical workflow. With Jacobs crew it wasn't a problem at all. They followed my request and did so very skillfully. In fact, at the end of the project they asked if they could take a few pictures and said they like what I did and would perhaps offer it to other clients. INTEGRITY: Because of the adjustments to the project result from the permit issues, there was less work done than was originally bid. Wilfredo didn't hesitate a moment in adjusting the final invoice. FOLLOW UP: I got a call a few days after the job was done checking to be sure I was happy with the job. SUMMARY: I though every aspect of the project was handled professionally and that everyone I dealt with was friendly, efficient, and very good at their job. After getting several quotes and recommendations, I went with Michael Kelly, owner of Mr. Fence, to remove the 60 ft long wood fence used to separate 2 adjacent properties and replace it with a more economical chain link fence. I chose Michael because he was responsive and willing to readjust his work schedule to meet my short time frame. His pricing was also very fair and competitive for the scope of work. After the site visit and getting his formal quote, Michael and his crew was able to start work within 2 days on a Saturday. David did a great job in removing the wood fence, installing the new support posts in concrete, and cleaning up afterwards on the first day. Michael came 2-3 days later after the concrete had time to fully cure to install the chain link to the support posts and install a new gate. Throughout the process, Michael was open and accommodating to my thoughts and ideas to ensure the finished product met my expectations. He also helped me with some related minor "handyman" type repairs that was well beyond his scope of work which were much appreciated. Michael made sure the work was done right and to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Mr. Fence for your big or small fencing needs. Mr. Fence has become my preferred fence company and I have no hesitation in simply calling them and using them again.

They do not know how to line up a sidewalk with the lot line. I kept mentioning the need to allow space for new fence posts. I was told by the owner of MJ Cement that their company isn't concerned about fence posts, they only pour concrete. The parking pad was initially laid out in a rhombus-type shape. After an extensive argument over who was to blame, the Morres grudgingly agreed to square the layout. Construction debris left behind. Crushed gravel for drainage was never delivered. This project was a complete hassle from start to finish. I would never use again, and recommend everyone else to look elsewhere.

We ordered 36 ft. of vinyl fencing in spring 2020. We understood the challenges of getting…read morematerials during the pandemic and were excited to finally get our fence in early October. Despite giving the plot of survey, a diagram and verbally communicating twice where the fence should go, Mr. Gonzalez put the fence in the wrong place. We agreed that adding another panel would fix the issue. He never came back to fix and stopped taking our calls. He routinely tells you he has to talk to his supplier, if he does answer. On top of that, he applied the wrong cap size to one of the post. The cap kept flying into the neighbor's yard who the fence was installed to avoid. We attempted to resolve the issue, but no luck no response. Even the BBB did not get a response. Very bad experience during what was already a tough year.
