I currently live in a place that has no Greek food, so I was very happy to be close to a place with such great reviews. The staff here is very friendly, helpful, and polite. It is very easy to understand what you are ordering. The shawarma was exactly what I was looking for. Having lived in LA and visited all over the world, I have grown to love a good shawarma and I have learned to appreciate so many different takes on this. I will say that the the shawarma here is lacking almost all lamb mixed in, and there isn't much in the way of meat. This shawarma is mostly vegetables and French fries. I will also add that you do have to add their take on tzatziki. There may have been a little sauce in there but much too little for my taste. The fries were bold and tasty, which is nice. Summary: The other night, I had a hankering for Falafel. I did a quick Yelp search, saw all the great reviews on this place, and gave it a shot. Unfortunately I was not quite as taken with it as many others seem to be. ------------------------------------------------------------------- The atmosphere (3 stars) - the establishment is clean and well organized, but it is in the middle of a food court, which does not make it come top of mind when thinking about the overall vibe of the place. The food (3 stars) - As I said, I had a major hankering for some Falafel. So, both the wife and I each got a Falafel sandwich, and some street cart fries. Unfortunately the Falafel was frozen to begin with wich did not quite fulfill my Falafel needs. The rest of the ingredients seemed fresh, but just not quite on par with what I was expecting. Service (5 stars) - The owner of the restaurant was so nice and friendly. She gave us a free during to make up for the wait, and did everything she could to make sure that we were taken care of. Value (3 stars) - The price is fair for both the quality and quantity of food you receive. Would I go back? - Yes. Shockingly good middle eastern food in a mall food court. SMDH. But it works. Everything is cooked fresh and the offerings are perfect for a grab-&-go or ... if you have the time, please just sit down at one of the many tables that are usually available and just do some people-watching. This is some of the best you'll see anywhere. The chicken Schwarma is just plain delicious. Toppings are plentiful, if not fully traditional. French fries, dill pickles, banana pepper rings, cabbage, and more. The sauces are good, too. The tzaziki is made on the premises, as is the spicy red sauce. Not very spicy, but good flavor. The pita is very tasty. Great counter service. I usually go during the less busy times so I typically visit with the owner who is usually there. He's very personable and has always been happy to answer all of my annoying food questions. I crave the food here. And I'm usually willing to be sucked into the belly of the mall to get it...which should tell you something. read more

King kebab came highly recommended by some friends and to be honest I wasn't that impressed unfortunately. The best thing about my schwarma was the chicken. It was cooked to perfection and had a delicious marinade on it. So good on them for doing this right. It was also hot and fresh which added to the deliciousness of the chicken. Besides that the toppings and everything else was just meh. It had potatoes in it, and they were the most basic, simple, cold French fries. Yum! (NOT) So that was my experience. So glad I visited this place today. There were great yelp reviews so I had to check it out. I was greeted very nicely by the owner. I asked if she likes the chicken or the lamb and beef. She gave me a sample to try. They were both tasty and I decided to go with the lamb and beef Shwarma wrap today. It was amazing! The deep flavors of the meat really came out. Mix that with the cool yogurt sauce and veggies. BAM! It was the perfect balance of intense and subtle but cool flavor. Then the red spicy sauce kicked in and it made it even more delicious. I will definitely be back next time for the chicken. I also asked the owner what she thought about infusing Korean and Mediterranean flavors. She just smiled. One of my favorite restaurants all-time! This is Provo's best restaurant and is 5 STAR all the way. Located in the food court of the Provo Towne Center Mall. Owner, Kyunghee Young is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She makes every effort to ensure you are enjoying your meal and having a good day overall. I ordered (both times I've been here) the Shawarma with Lamb/Beef and all of the trimmings. Everything was so good! All sauces are made in-house (white yogurt, red spicy, fry sauce, and more). Young also gave me sample the King Kebab French Fries. They are topped with their house special fry sauce (made up of 15 different ingredients!) and feta cheese. These were incredible!!! The salad is compiled of the freshest ingredients; the dressing is a mix of 5 different dressings they put together for you when you order. I wish we could have tried more of their menu items, but were just passing through Provo. This place is a serious contender for the best NYC or San Francisco eateries, although its food court location makes it very easy to overlook and dismiss. Do not let that deter you, try it. I was hesitant to eat here because of the location. The food court at the Provo town center? But don't let the location deceive you! This food was fantastic and the service was out of this world for being a food court find. This is just 3 minutes from my office so I will be eating here frequently, especially because the price was affordable and the food filling. The menu was simple so I didn't feel overwhelmed and the gyro I ordered didn't fall apart as I ate It. They didn't skimp on meet or toppings either which is always a HUGE bonus. So it's what you would expect from a food court. Tables were clean. FOOD: I got a traditional gyro. What makes this place unique is that it is set up so you can create your own gyro or schwarma wrap by choosing which ingredients you like. Kind of like subway, but with Mediterranean food. The meat was quality. They have two huge things of meat rotating on skewers that they shave slices off of right in front of you. And the lamb is soooooo tasty. They have various sauces as well. I love King Kebab. One night I was making the arduous journey from Salt Lake City to Fillmore and it was dinner time. I pulled into Provo Towne Center and wandered a few laps around the food court, knowing I wanted something fast but nothing more specific. The gentleman working there noticed me eyeing his menu and, unlike a typical fast food place where employees are silently praying you'll go away, saw my confusion and offered to make a special shawarma. I had no idea what that meant, but thought it best to trust the guy. It was a good choice and my only regret is that I don't remember what he called it so I will probably never have that particular wrap again. Every time I am passing by Provo around a meal time, this is where I go. I have even put off lunch for hours because I knew I would be going by Provo soon and wanted a good appetite. It is not just the food that makes me return, but the friendly service. I am a service snob who would tolerate mediocre food if the atmosphere and staff are pleasant. I will even swear off the best food I've ever had over repeated bad service. The same man is there every time I go (and a nice lady too, but she has only ever rung up my order; I've seen her making food) and it is like seeing an old friend every time. He asks how work is going, how my family is, and says it's nice to see me again. I know there is a very slim chance that he actually remembers me for as little as I am in the area, but it makes me feel like I've left a mall and sat down at his dinner table. Here's the biggest thing: King Kebab has it figured out. You walk up to the counter, they treat you like family, make the experience special, and their food is (without any other shawarma experience to compare) absolutely phenomenal. If they opened a storefront outside the mall I would gladly pay $15-$20 for a shawarma because it's just that good and you get a very rare level of service to boot. read more

We were in the mood for something different and so after the traditional Friday evening "where to you want to eat?" "I don't care, where do you want to eat?" Volley, I got tired of that and went to yelp, I read the reviews and decided to hit it up. I grew up raising sheep and and have never been a fan of lamb, so seeing the meat was lamb and beef, I was scared. I didn't need to be, it was *DELICIOUS*! One of the best dinners we've had in a long time. I got the schwarma, and my wife got the gyro. We both thought ours was the best. The schwarma has more meat in in, with fricking french fries, which are awesome, and the gyros have a little bit more vegetables in them. too many vegetables is bad for you so I recommend the schwarma. I was shocked that a place in a food court was that good, and I couldn't believe all the people at Panda Express while there was just a few at King Kebab. I went and recruited as many as I could out of the panda express line. Don't get me wrong, panda express is good, I love it, but this is a step up and something different. The meat was seasoned perfectly, the white sauce and spicy sauce has a great flavor and is not super hot. I highly recommend it. The other thing is they are SUPER clean. Every time I eat out the people seem like it doesn't matter how clean they are. At the Panda express as I was ordering, a five year old was standing right on the counter in shoes that I'm sure have been in a hundred restrooms and everywhere else. At King Kebab, the owner came out from the back, and right on the back wall is a sink and hospital grand sanitation soap, he scrubbed up like a surgeon and then got to work. I saw the lady wash her hands twice just making our wraps. As a an OCD moron, I took much comfort in how clean they were. Make sure you try them out, You will NOT be sorry. read more

I make it a point to come here and get some shawarma whenever I'm around this area of Provo (and I might just make it a point to be around this area so I'm "forced" to get some shawarma). The stuff is good. It reminds me of all the kebab places throughout Europe (and it tastes better than a lot of those did). The spicy sauce isn't that spicy, imho. I don't know why anyone would go anywhere else in this food court. The wrap has a crisp texture, lamb is moist, mixture of flavors to create the color festival on your palette.
