Trying a realtime review of King Noodle from my Iphone.. Just arrived, the interior is very nice... Tastefully decorated.. Waitress arrived and explained menu options, pushed the sushi as it probably had the highest margin. So far, a pleasant experience. I ordered Vietnamese coffee ($2) on ice and a squid salad ($7).. Squid salad is really good and the coffee is good also.. The waitress is very nice. Now ordered grilled pork vermicelli and pho for lunch, waiting...to pass the time I just uploaded a pic of the interior, very nice..food is here.. Fast! I justed added spicy sauce to the vermicelli and it is as good as any in town.. Overall, I am very impressed.. I have no idea why others have given bad reviews.. read more

FOOD POISONING. My husband and I ate there last night on Friday, Jan 11th, 2019. I am currently writing this review from my bed as I've spent the last 7 hours puking and pooping my guts out. My husband didn't get it as bad as me, but he has had the runs all day. We left the restaurant around 9:15p, and the first wave hit me at 5:38am, and it's been like that every 30 minutes since. When will this nightmare end? I got the red chicken curry, and he got the combo fried rice. I don't know if it was the water we drank, or the fact that both our dishes contained rice, chicken, and onions. The food did taste alright, but be warned if you're going there tonight! Been coming to King Noodle since they opened last year. This is my girls favorite place to eat. Unfortunately, this encounter was not a good one. My chicken appetizer was under cooked. My daughter and myself said at the same time something doesnt taste right. No problem, they took it off my bill. The waitress brought our food. Never asking if we needed anything else. This place has a little bit of all the different Asian cuisines- Chinese, Vietnamese, and Japanese. Some food is a hit and some are a miss. The first time I came here a few months ago, I had a vietnamese iced coffee with condense milk and a meatball/tripe Pho. Both were delicious and so when my friends wanted to come here for a get together, I was all for it. However this time, I decided to try different items. I went for a Boba Thai tea, lunch special Kung pao chicken, and shrimp spring rolls. The lunch specials come with an egg roll and a choice of hot sour soup or egg drop soup. The thai tea was delicious and the boba was fresh. The kung pao chicken was very spicy and the portion was a good size. What I disliked was the shrimp spring rolls and the egg drop soup. The rolls seemed old and bland tasting along with the peanut sauce. The egg drop soup was too thick and it has peas and corn in it to where I am usually not use to. My favorite part of this place was our server. He was attentive, made us laught, attended to all my special requests, and didn't make a fuss about our split checks. I would still come back any time my friends like. At least I will know what I like to eat here and not. read more

It's in Cedar park resident's area. I don't think I will drive all the way there often because there is no other stores I need to shop around. It's a strange menu, Japanese and Vietnamese mixed. If you want expensive meal, then choose Japanese dishes; if you want something inexpensive, order Vietnamese dishes. We ordered squid salad as appetizer which is too little squid on the top of dish and bottom is full of cucumbers. They should call it cucumber salad. And it's $6.5. We also ordered 3 main courses. Chinese style seafood fried rice, Vietnamese Pho and Vietnamese vermicelli. The fried rice tastes best, and very good dish for kids. Pho soup tastes good too. Vermicelli tastes boring to me and not much meat in it. They have some interesting decoration in the restaurant. And some art pottery on the shelves too. First off the place looks nice when you go inside especially the hand drawn mural which was a nice touch. The service was typical for an Asian restaurant not to fast yet not slow. The wait staff looked neatly dressed. There were an ample amount of tables, a booths section, and a sushi bar. They also had LCD TVs for those who would like to enjoy their meal with some entertainment. I ordered quite a few dishes from the menu to savor their selection to distinguish my review from the other people who reviewed this restaurant on separate sides of the menu. First off the Japanese sushi served at King Noodle is priced just slightly more than other establishments, but the quality and taste are justified after eating the first bite. My order of the Las Vegas Roll was just that, incredibly tasty and looked amazing on the plate. Secondly, the Vietnamese dish I order looked just as well put together as the Japanese dish and this dish was appropriately priced for the amount of food in this dish. I also ordered egg rolls as an appetizer and they were a double the size than that of the typical sized ones that are rolled smaller, which is a plus in my book. We ordered from UberEats and was quite disappointed in the food. It arrived quickly and hot, so satisfied with the delivery no question. The crab Rangoon appetizers had barely any filling whatsoever. Lackluster flavor. Ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. The chicken was thinly sliced in long strips rather than chunks. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh. I have never ordered pho to go before and was taken back by everything they gave me. It was a ton of food and totally worth the $9. I loved that they still kept everything separate so that I could put it together the way I wanted. My only complaint would be that the chicken was dry. Awesome menu. These people are like family. We end up here twice a week sometimes. I like their vermicelli with beef and lemon grass bowl and the vermicelli with tofu. General Tso's tofu is really good too. I'm not a vegetarian but I acquired the taste and texture of tofu and they do a good job with every dish. We get sushi rolls a lot, pork egg roll, and the spicy miso is the best in town. Generous helpings of food. Clean restaraunt. We love these people and have kept up support through all the virus related regulations. Definitely caring people that give top notch service. First time here. I ordered pho #1 and my son got the #7. Their broth was good! I read some reviews saying it was salty. We didn't think so,but we grew up eating Asian food so maybe our palate is accustomed to the taste unlike some of the maybe new to asian food people. They give a good amount of meat too . And yes, it was rare, just like its supposed to be, again, the newbies complaining about raw meat ! We will be back for sure! The only complaint was the smell of wet rags from wiping down the tables. Sorry King Noodle our relationship has come to an end. It started out so wonderfully a real noodle, PHO, and Sushi option restaurant being so close to us. The fact they had "traditional" Asian dishes was a definite plus. I overlooked the sloppy service and the customer is always wrong attitude of management as the food was good. I've noticed on my last couple of visits that prices have gone up and the quality of the food has decreased. Sat PM was the last straw. We ordered a few pieces of sushi as an App. They were served on a mound of rice. We ended up removing over 1/2 to ¾ of the rice. As I was eating the sushi I started to long for Soto! My spicy seafood noodle dish was OK but the squid was rubbery and crab with the K was a turn off. Just don't even include it in the dish if you are going to use Krab and not crab. My dining companion's General Tsao chicken was inedible. She asked for all white meat and got dark meat (no big deal) but fried grizzle pieces and it was battered to excess. To excess I mean "check this out a pile of breading and a little piece of alleged chicken." Not to be totally negative our server was great and he had the kitchen redo her dinner. The soup was too salty and didn't have much flavor, the beef wasn't tender, the noodles were cooked well and still had some bounce in them. The traditional plate of greens was not good because it only had some Thai basil, 2 tiny stalks of coriander, chili, and nothing else. The condiments on offer were not typical of Vietnamese food. We haven't ordered takeout from them in a while because they could never get the order right, but decided to try once more. Yet again, they got our order wrong and the food was subpar at best. Orange Chicken was tough and the Veggie Rice noodles were tasteless and greasy. They only sent 2 of our 4 eggroll order, and gave us two orders of Orange Chicken instead of one and one of General Tso's. Haven't been there for sushi and haven't had their bun, so maybe we're just getting the things they're not good at. read more

I have been going to King Noodle since I was a freshman in Cedar Park high school. 6 years! Great food, loved how it was family owned. But the past couple visits have been a great experience. The middle aged Asian woman who works most the time is extremely rude. My mom ordered something she didn't know had egg in it (allergic) and politely told her she couldn't eat it and apologized and the waitress completely ignored her and didn't even pick up the soup or try to offer her something else. Today, I placed a Togo order at 12:30 and got there at 12:45 the food wasn't ready so I waited. It was the 1:00 and I asked how much longer. I placed the order over the phone while I was driving over there (expecting to pick it up somewhat close to when I arrived) the older man yells "ITS COMING NOW" then disappeared for another 10 minutes and finally comes out with it. I asked for some to go ramekins for the chili paste and sirracha they have on the tables (complimentary condiments) they gave me 3 and I needed some for my friend who was with me since we both ordered pho. The lady comes and says everything is in the bag already you don't need those. And we did cause they weren't in there. Also, why are you arguing with me about sauce? Then she throws them in my hand and rolls her eyes. She then comes back out and yells I charge you 25 cents for sauce. When that sauce is the sauce on every table for anyone to use. She was extremely rude and shows she does not want to help customer and make them feel welcomed when we are the ones paying for the food! THAT TOOK 40 MINUTES IN THE FIRST PLACE. I get home finally to eat and the noodles were not cooked all the way. Whole experience was awful. She is extremely rude and does not need to be in the restaurant industry. I've lived in th area for the last 10 years and been in there A LOT of times and every time it's the same.... egg rolls always taste like they were made ahead of time and warmed up... you can taste that it's chewy.. horrible! Hands down my absolute favorite Pho place in North Austin. I personally get the veggie pho and it's one of the best when talking veggie. The location is an easy in and out and when ordering to go it almost always a quick turn time. The service is nice and laid back compared to other places. It's a fun easy going atmosphere and I've never had any real issues when going here. The price is comparable to most other Pho places. I also enjoy their spring rolls they're bigger than most places which is always a bonus. I will say the actual restaurant could use a serious deep clean. The floors are always filthy and you can hear it when you walk the sticking sound on your shoes, one could lose a flip flop walking on this floor so beware. They have a fish tank right up front that's on it's very last leg. It has signs to stay away and not touch and I always wonder why they don't just take that monstrosity down. The back of it is pretty much tape and glue keeping it together. The bathrooms also could use a cleaning. I don't know why but I can't get over the soap inside a jumbo bottle of germ-x. All in all it's tasty food but I can understand how one wouldn't want to eat at a place that's this dirty. read more

We waited several minutes to be acknowledged at the door, and were finally seated. After about 15 minutes, we still had not been addressed. Service was in snail mode. For anyone that has had pho before, we know that it does not take long for it to be served. The restaurant wasn't even busy but my pho took forever to be brought out. I ordered a taro coconut milk tea tapioca and it was a huge mistake. Server didn't bring out the drink until I was already done with my pho! Not only that, the drink still had powder mix in it and the boba pearls were undercooked and inconsistent. $6 for it too?! Never again.
