I wish I came here more often when I had the gym membership across the street. I've tried everything on the menu! Staff is lightning quick, which is always a plus. The beef/lamb/chicken gyro plates are all very tasty (9/10). My personal favorite is the Falafel wrap (11/10) and my battle against diabetes does not keep me away from the baklava (10/10) for my drive home. read more

Got takeout from here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. There was no wait to order and the food was ready in ~10 minutes, which was quick. They have some seating on the side of the building but it seems to mostly be a to-go spot. Ordered the chicken shawarma wrap lunch box, which comes with a baklava, small side salad, and a drink. The wrap was pretty good; baklava was a bit sweet for me. Also ordered a dozen falafel, which were delicious! It was crunchy but not overly hard, dense and moist inside. Flavor was good - I really enjoyed it. Price was reasonable for the food. I would recommend folks try this spot if they're looking for a quick Mediterranean fix! read more

Absolutely delicious, and good service! They technically have a patio, but it's a little rough, so it's more of a to-go place. I got the chicken shawarma wrap, and it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My son loved his beef and lamb gyro. Generous portions, and very reasonably priced. read more

Found this place on Yelp while I was craving a good chicken shawarma and I am not dissapointed. The portion was huge and flavorful. I haven't tried too many things here, because the first thing I ever ordered was the Chicken Kabob salad, it's so good I get it every time. The chicken is so juicy and flavorful, the dressing is light and the greens are crispy (not like spring mix, which can get wilty when you put warm protein on top) So delicious! read more

I wouldn't describe king of Kabab as the king of kababs , but they definitely aren't the squires either. They make a great quick stop for lunch with the packaging they give your food in. The real hi light here is their pastries display . The baklava looked appealing and fresh in the case. My gyro was alright, nothing memorable. They took my order fast and sent me on my way in about 7 mins l. I stoped to sit in and eat at the one table they have inside. I'm not sure if there's outdoor seating. You can expect some Mediterranean music in the back from the kitchen and a lot of people picking up their orders to go ! read more

Placed an order from door dash . 50.00 furious straight up garbage. Order chicken shawarma. Lamb and beef wrap. The chicken is horrible these people should be ashamed of themselves what they're selling and what they're selling to people, especially people like me who don't go out to eat all the time and is looking for something special to eat and I'm so freaking disappointed . DO NOT GO HERE because this is straight up garbage. I'm so furious. They didn't even give me Pita bread . who the hell gives a platter of chicken shawarma without Pita bread ! I love discovering new Mediterranean places - there are only four places in the Bay Area that I consider at the top of my list - this being one of them. I've been ordering this at least once a week when I'm in the East Bay doing work. We always get the lamb and beef gyro plate. The portion is super generous and always fills us up. It comes with a salad, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, rice, and pita. The rice is what sets this apart from other Mediterranean places for me. It's so flavorful and has peas in it. I could literally just eat the rice itself! Easy to order and pay online for pick up! Ask for a side of the spicy sauce if you want a little extra kick to it. Love love love it here! read more

Owner Khaled Azzam runs a very wonderful Mediterranean restaurant. My first time here I went solely based off the reviews, and I am glad I did because they most definitely lived up to the expectations of their reviews I was greeted by Mr. Azzam upon entry who always keeps a smile on his face no matter what Can I say, what a very warm interior and decor. We ordered an order of french fries, a beef gyro plate, and a falafel salad. We also record a courtesy baklava when we ordered one - The sole man cooking there was very polite and kind. Everything he was great and fresh. My partner swears by the beef gyro, saying that he hadn't had meat grilled and seasoned like that in a very long while and said it's the best he's had in California so far. I really enjoyed my falafel salad, although parts of the salad tasted more fresh than others. The falafel was very crispy and had much flavor as well. The baklava was amazingly crispy and sweet. The only complaint we had is that the French fries had no hole in the box to let the air steam out, so that by the time we ate the fries, they were pretty soggy. He should put some air holes so that it does not happen. But overall we are so glad we found this place and hope to be back again soon! read more

One star off only for the fact that the indoor eating space isn't the greatest, so now that I got that out of the way - WOW, I love this kind of food - seek it everywhere I go - Berlin, Istanbul, Athens....and this is one of the best I've had. The tahini is a smooth silky flavor bomb, and they give you a lot. The stuffed falafel with grilled onions and sumac...exactly right crispy on the outer crust and tender and delicious on the inside. The rice that is on the "plate" style order is incredible - spiced, tender, and has stuff in it - maybe lentils? Maybe bits of lamb? Whatever it is, tear off a piece of the lavash, slather some tahini on it, crack open those falafel and put a chunk on there, add a few of the chopped tomatoes and cucumbers...omg now I'm going to have to get my leftovers out of the fridge and eat some more. Even the little pot of hot sauce is amazing. I thank all that is holy that I live less than a mile from this place. Plus they are really nice in there. I wish they would close the door tho, I was kind of chilly, but it was ok since I wasn't eating there. read more

This is my favorite Middle Eastern food in the Bay area! It's fresh, delicious and perfectly seasoned. The chicken and lamb shish kabab were tender and juicy; the falafel was the best I've had outside of the Middle East - wonderful crisp texture. And the owner is such a lovely person. It's not a big store but they manage to cram a lot of stuff into the limited space!

(I guess the bakers got too enthusiastic with the water bath.) The crumb was tight but came off more as dry than chewy. And the malt syrup was poured with a liberal hand -- there is no subtlety to the flavor. To their credit, the cream cheese is well paired. It brings its own flavor with a noticeable tang, and it is dense. You need a bagel that will hold up under the pressure of a knife while spreading the thick schmear. I love that Saul's is making bagels in house now, but I think I will look elsewhere on their menu for the real comfort foods.

I came from the gym across from King of Kabab about two weeks ago and I saw two of my neighbors eating at King of Kabab, I went inside and spoke with the neighbors and they were raving about how good the food was , so I tried the food and the food was superb . I've eaten there almost every day since and I've seen seven of my neighbors eating there at one time or the other. Everything I have had is super delicious. I really like the chicken and lamb shwarma though. They do it right, with the traditional shwarma roasting pole thing (I don't know what it is called). Came here on a trip with students and fellow teachers, it was so good! The owner accommodated all 11 of us. There is a super cute outdoor seating area. All of the meals were fresh and delicious.
