Horrible customer service Bought 18 tacos and they denied me half a lime! They said it was only a side for a purchase of menudo! Ridiculous Manager name was Camila... ridiculous attitude Never coming back Save yourself some time and go elsewhere!!!

Recommended by Kim Jong Kook and Choo Sung Hoon. Menudo (beef stomach and jokbal) and Taco Carne Asada with Salsa Roja (spicy). Excellent customer service. Limited parking lot and street parking. Long order line. Great ambiance.

Tim Conway jr. from KFI AM 640 was talking about this King Taco location a few days ago - I happened to be hiking near by so after my hike I decided to give the food a try - My first impression is how clean the restaurant is and how clean the open kitchen is....It was lunch time so there was a steady flow of people but I ordered online so I was able to pickup my order fast - Food was very good and I will be back ....Thank you King Taco staff and thank you Tim Conway jr!! Ding dong!

I grew up in CP and this King Taco will always be my favorite place to eat when visiting family. This is the only King Taco that offers a variety of items like Caldo, Tinga, and Tostadas which is why it stands out. My go to order is an Asada Burrito, Asada Sope and a Jamaica. Green chili is a must on the side and I use two. Their service is always friendly and efficient. If you're in the mood for comfort food, definitely eat here!

I wanted tacos today since it's Taco Tuesday. A colleague and I decided to go to King Taco for lunch. We got a Tinga de Pollo taco, Carne asada taco, sope, and a chicken tamale. All were really good and I was really surprised at how cheap the prices were!! Menu prices were as if they were special deals, or was i back in time... say, 2019 (pre-Covid prices)? The salsas were not spicy... wish it was a lot hotter. Well, my colleague said it was pretty hot but she's a lightweight and thinks paprika is spicy lol!! The place is clean, parking is non-existent (there's like literally 4 spaces). They take an eternity to get you your order (they were probably still harvesting the corn used to make the masa lol). We waited 25 minutes for our food. Very well priced and great place to eat at when you're on a tight budget!

Whats the purpose of doing phone orders??? Anyone? If you do a phone order, expect to wait! I got there and the slowwww as molasses lady at the register, took her time, chit chatted away with the other ladies and still forgot the lady in front of me wanted a drink. Got to me and was so distracted that I had to repeat myself four or five time. So the phone order is to have your food ready when you get there, you pay and go. Well that call is useless, because you still wait in line and once again wait for your food!! This King Taco gets one star from me!

    SOPES - my favorite here.

King Taco is a Los Angeles institution with multiple locations! King Taco at "Lincoln Heights" might be my favorite location- low key environment (not as busy), good parking, friendly employees, delicious food - Authentic Mexican on the cheap. I read that this location is their original location established in the mid 70s! The crowd here are mixed and hipster-ish. No frills, no fancy food presentation, just delicious authentic Mexican street fare and reliable simple menu: Tacos, Burritos, Sopes, Nachos, Quesadillas, Soups! Combo plates very limited. My favorite has to be the SOPES: Thick pan fried flat corn masa shell topped with light refried bean, protein of choice, cabbage, cotija cheese, and their amazing salsa! They are very stingy on salsa is my only complaint. Am born and raised in Los Angeles, so I will always love King Taco- 5 stars! It's not "the best" Mexican street food fare", but it's absolutely consistent, yummy, and inexpensive! CREDIT CARD and CASH accepted.

I ordered a chicken tamale but it had very little to no chicken. The 2 carne asada tacos shells were thick and dry. I don't remember the food being horrible.

In addition for over charging me and having me redo my transaction. I get a burrito with more onion than anything even after specifically asking for "no onions"

Food quality sucks. Go to the King Taco on North Broadway instead. Employees are not nice and stingy with the food.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

My favorite thing about these burritos is how "home-made" they are, the salsas and meats are fresh and taste like they came out of an abuelitas kitchen. I still need to try the crunchy tacos and nachos which look great, I recommend trying this classic establishment at least once if you're in the area.
