One of my biggest mistakes was coming here. My car's tranny was replaced. Silvio told me I was getting a new one, then he said it would be a reconditioned one, then back to new. Who knows what I got but it bucks like a bronco when it up- or downshifts to second gear. Silvio told me to give it a few rides and that it would self-adjust. LOL, that never happened. One of the engine mounts was also broken during the install yet Silvio wanted another $125 on top of the $3K tranny to fix that. Amazing right? The tranny has gotten worse in the six months since the repair, and I have already lost confidence in the car and am buying another one. Learn from my mistake. read more

I brought my car to Silvio for a second opinion. Stupid me for taking it the dealer but had to get a recall done as well, so asked them to look at my car. At the end of their 'review' they told me I needed a new transfer case and it would be about $5000. I then went to King Transmission after reading good reviews. I will now always be taking my car there. Silvio told me the issue was most likely a transfer case module, which goes for about $350. He didn't have one (supply chain is truly messed up) but did tell me where he thought I might find one. I was able to actually buy one from (ick) another dealership (someone bought one and never picked it up). Silvio told me he could put it in but thought it might need to be programmed by the dealers. He even showed me where it went (my husband and I also googled this process so felt comfortable). Out of curiosity, I called the dealer to see what they might charge to put it in. They wanted $265. All to say, we put it in ourselves, the car is fixed and I went back to thank Silvio because he saved me a lot of money (note- he would not charge $5000 for a transfer case, btw). I don't normally do reviews, but sometimes I'm moved by exceptional quality, that I'll write one. Now, any company can sell smiles and an earnest personality, but at the end of the day, it's the delivery and attention to detail. Transmission King is a small family owned business headed by my good friend, Silvio. I first contacted Silvio at least three to four years ago over the phone regarding a transmission flush. He said it was a waste of money for the model car I had. I'm sure most other companies wouldn't have said this. Recently, I asked about brake fluid exchange. Again, I was told it was a waste of money, but I asked him to do it anyway and bled my brakes. The man has always shot straight with me and charged me a fair price. I knew some services may have been on the high side, but I knew it would cost average out from all the services I received on the low side. Their labor rate is below market average, but their knowledge of cars is above average. FYI, there is a former Ford technician there part time that can fix anything Ford. The repairs I have requested here are suspension, brakes, cooling and heat, and maintenance and computer diagnostics. In my total experience with this company, there is trust that took years to develop, and although we have have our misunderstandings we remain to this day with utmost mutual respect. And of course 100% satisfaction with the repairs. I don't take my cars anywhere else. read more

Skip this one! Gave car for estimate which came back incredibly high. Told him we'll trailer it elsewhere for second opinion, that's when he launched the old "your car is in a million pieces" routine. Ended up going elsewhere and paid literally less than a fifth of what this guy quoted. Spoiler alert! I just wanted to send this quick thanks to Silvio and the staff at King Transmission. I stopped by King Transmission and described my problem. My 2012 Honda Civic was vibrating as it shifted from 20 to 30 mpg. Silvio hooked the car up to diagnostic equipment and was able to find a fault. He reset the system and the vehicle has been running flawlessly ever since. I asked Silvio how much for the service and he declined the charge. I bought my 2008 ford van to transmission King over 3 years ago for a rebuilt his price was very fair and the van was done in one day the was awesome it's a work truck so very little down time the van at that time had 190.000 miles I bought it new and take good cair of it it's time again there's a problem with reverse I am not upset at all I bought it back to transmission King with a smile and said can you please take cair of it it has ran very good since it's last visit there the van is still in good shape and has on it now 35100.00 miles on it thanks to some local repair shop and defenley transmission King I would recommend them definitely.
