I'm here to tell you that my husband and I couldn't be happier with the wonderful experience and results we have had at Wet Nose Training. We paid for the 3-week training and I'm really glad we did. Yes, it an investment to properly and thoroughly train your dog but when you think of having a well-behaved dog for the next 16-18 years, it is a sound investment. Also, this is one of those times you get what you pay for. Let me tell you, I did not see how I was going to be without my baby for 3 weeks. I kept reminding myself that we were doing this for her good so that one day she could be an off-leash dog on hikes and playing disc golf. A well-behaved dog has so many more opportunities: she can go to restaurants that allow dogs, she's welcome at other people's homes, I can trust her near children, the elderly, and other dogs. It is my saddest regret that my old dog was never trained and was poorly socialized. It has limited his life so much. Lucy got to go to Rudy's the day we picked her up! Andy is very transparent in letting you check out the environment. There is an inside work area (as well as an inside kennel room), but plenty of stimulating outdoor area for your dog to learn and practice, all surrounded by sturdy iron fencing. Once I saw the environment Lucy would be in I knew she would be safe. They only work together dogs that will be safe to work together so that your dog can develop his/her personality and confidence. I've attached pictures of our Lucy playing with a cute little friend she made there. She also went into her first heat while there and Andy and Amanda handled it perfectly professionally. We were always kept in the loop with what Lucy was working on. What made us first interview Wet Nose Training was that Andy kept getting singled out in such rave reviews at his last place of employment. I searched him out and saw that he had started his own training company. Then, when we interviewed him (we interviewed 4 other potential trainers), we found that his METHOD was the one we were looking for. As I understand it, they teach basic manners with positive reinforcement, teach leash training using a flat collar (cross between a regular collar and a prong) so that Lucy could learn what he wanted. There were also very high quality treats to reinforce good behavior. Then they add in an ecollar. That was the part I was most afraid of. On a scale of 0-99 we only needed a 12 to get her attention. She had ample opportunity to learn what was expected of her first without the ecollar before it was ever used, and it was never used without notice to her. To me, this is the most constructive way to train. It's layers of learning, like learning your alphabet before you start reading a book ;) Andy knows dogs. And Andy LOVES dogs. He truly understands their nature and gave us so much insight into Lucy, like how to watch her thought process unfold and what her "tell" is before she makes a bad choice of action. We just had a follow up the other day to iron out some of our questions so we could more accurately reinforce what Andy had taught her, and he'll be coming to our neighborhood soon so we can fine tune some of her behaviors in her natural habitat. The fact that she pauses before going through a doorway until told she can, sits when she sees another dog rather than charging them, can be put in "place" when we need her to stay still to answer the door, and leaves her cranky old brother dog alone has been such a relief. From the very beginning, Dean was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly patient - not just with Henry, but with us as well. He has a way of making training feel approachable and even fun, which made such a difference as this was our first experience with a dog trainer. Nothing ever felt overwhelming or intimidating. Dean was also very reassuring that a lot of what we have experienced with our Henry was normal puppy behavior. What really stood out to us was how personalized the training was. Dean took the time to understand Henry's personality and our lifestyle, and then tailored everything to fit our home environment. We just might be one of the most difficult cases LOMA has ever had. Our two rescues were fighting and we called LOMA in absolute desperation. They seemed to get along really well at first and then things went really wrong. We had no idea what to do. We were at a loss. Dr. Lorraine had to use every trick and tool she has to help our boys and to help us too! At that time, our two boys were about 2 years old. We had many so many trials and errors. Dr. Lorraine was incredibly patient with us. The training really was for us just as much as it was for our dogs. Our boys are now 7 years old and they have both made a complete turn around. They aren't the same dogs anymore. They have developed some good manners and they have learned to get along with each other. They actually enjoy having people come to visit versus having the meltdowns they used to have when someone set foot into our house. We have consistently kept Dr. Lorraine's instructions as part of our daily routine. The time and money we spent training our dogs was a very valuable investment for us. We took a six week class which I felt was helpful, but he did need some basic obedience and we enrolled in that class. They taught us how to train our dog to sit , stay, wait ,place as well as learning how to go to his designated space for down and settle. I felt the instructors were excellent. I can't remember all their names, but Fab was excellent. when Rudy graduated from his class, he got a certificate and had a graduation picture taken. Right now I feel that I need to work on these basics before I enroll him in intermediate class, but when he's ready, I will definitely go back.

Pups are vetted for manners. feel like my pups are safe when they come here. Lila and Bear always get compliments on how well behaved and socialized they are, and PPA has been a major part of that. Travis has an easy approachable style that makes lessons stress free and enjoyable. He keeps it simple. His straightforward emphasis on a few fundamentals builds confidence. He taught us (me, my son and our Tuco) to form a strong foundation of just three basic commands. When confused or unsure about the right thing to do, we go right back to that basic, three-command sequence. It's like hitting reset. More importantly, we'll build on that foundation and be able to handle many more tasks with a lot less effort... not even a spoken command. TP's training has an enjoyable natural flow. We just finished Phase One with a field trip to Hardberger Park. Despite distractions from squirrels, birds, vehicles and other dogs Tuco demonstrated he's got the basics down. We've had Tuco for more than a year and could never get him to come when called. If he was in the yard, bribery with treats might lure him inside but more likely he'd just stay outside until he let us know he wanted in. After our third session with Travis I stood at my front door, called the dog and for the first time, he trotted right on in. I knew he was an expert Dog Handler because of his thirty years service in that capacity in the US Air Force, the branch that trains military handlers and working dogs. I knew he could teach because for many years he was one of the USAF's Senior Instructors. It was a pleasure to find that Travis is so personable as well. It was especially good news that TP's rates are way lower than I'd expected. Honestly, I was ready to pay twice what he asks.

I have sent about 4 emails, 5 texts, 3 phone calls and 2 Facebook messages. Facebook message has been read by TP Dog training but TP Dog training has not responded. This has been over the course of 7 days. The service Travis rendered in the first session was very good however I do not believe deserve to pay the price of 3 sessions for 1 session. Please advise
