Horrible dealership.... They only want the money. Poor customer service. They try to get you in anything. Sale you a BIG lie. And then when things go wrong, basically it's your fault, forget the money you put down, forget what you pay a month, forget that you worked hard to get what you got. I have been shopping for weeks for a car. I finally saw a scion on their site and I talked to someone on chat. I specifically asked to not be called and I wanted an emailed quote. The chat person said no problem I will make sure to that. Less than an hour later my phone is blowing up with calls. I listen to the voicemail and I decide to call back to make sure I get what I requested an email quote and addtl info. I call and speak to a man who rudely answers the phone and I ask for the woman who called and he hangs up on me. Then I call again and get the service department and they hang up on me because I got the wrong department. Finally I get a hold of someone and talk to jade and give them my info again and ask her specifically for an emailed quote. Then I get a call ten minutes later and a man very rudely says did you call about the scion and I said yes and he tell me I can only take so much off the car and I said great can you email me that as requested. Then he rudely says WHATS YOUR NAME I don't understand why a salesperson would call and not know my name after going back and forth trying to just get a quote so I figure if I have this much trouble before buying a car can you imagine what will happen after. read more

I went to this dealership already upset/irritated/overwhelmed due to experiencing horrible customer service at 5 other dealerships around the Chicagoland area. My experience started with a phone conversation with Carlos who showed he truly cared about my experience with this company and assured me that I will be taken care of when I get there. I must admit I was very skeptical but J.D Donley (salesman) did everything he could during my visit to make me feel comfortable. He had no issues going through every detail (twice sometimes) so that I could understand, he worked with my pricing without being overbearing or going out of my range. I am happy to say that I did purchase a car from here and will gladly work and recommended Carlos and J.D to any/everyone I know! read more

No wonder the rating were already low. You walk in and there are at least 7-10 men sitting or standing around desks not doing a thing. I walked in no one spoke, they barely asked me what I needed. I was there to pick up a car that should have been done a week ago but when I called to the location not only was it not done "it wasn't there". I was told multiple times that the car was NOT there between calling and actually coming in. $20,000 not there... Wow... Low and behold one gentleman took me to walk the lot and wow.. Be very cautious of over-promising when working with the financial manager Mike Major and his sales associates Mike Brixie and Tony. They both were extremely rude and unhelpful when assisting me with a service dispute. Mike Brixie and another manager Tony over-promised to provide me with a lifetime of details on my car, should I purchase from Kingdom Chevy and not the competition Toyota (who is a 5-minute walk from Kingdom Chevy). When I came in yesterday to receive a copy of this, both Brixie and Major stated that I was the one confused and that they only offer free car washes to their customer, and made it seem like I didn't know the difference between a detail and a car wash. I explained that this lifetime of detailing was also brought up with Renee (another financial officer). Because the conversation had devolved into a "he said, she said", I requested the contact information for Mike Major's manager, upon which he replied, "I don't have time to get that right now.". For any manager or associate to see that as an acceptable response does not deserve my business or my money. I can only wish in hindsight that I had purchased my car from Toyota on western, instead of Kingdom Chevy. Toyota was much more transparent about purchasing a car, and what they can and can't offer. Mike Brixie didn't even have the courtesy to stay for the remainder of our meeting. He simply provided his side of the story, and got up and left without even making any effort to arrive at a resolution to this issue. Will I recommend Kingdom Chevy to anyone else? No, I will not recommend anyone purchase a car from a dealership who will overpromise just to secure a customer, and then fail to deliver on that promise, and blatantly lie about it. read more

Salesman were good, from Lavergn to Damien who was our sales associate the day of our purchase. I liked that Damien was committed to sell and motivated to show me and my wife multiple options. And he took his time in letting us consider the options. When it came to handling the negotiations it was painless and efficient. I gave him what I could afford and he brought back a comparable figure. Now, the negative part is after the sale, horrible service. I simply had a complaint about floor mats not being included and driver seat being uncomfortable. In addition I was looking for advise regarding these two items. But after I spoke to Damien once he never returned my calls. I attempted to get ahold of Lavergn but I kept getting unanswered phones. It's like I didn't exist as a customer any longer. I bought a car from this dealership and I'm relatively happy with the service, I'm pretty sure that this is in large part because of the salesman that I had, Johnnie. Overall, the process was pretty much what I expected of a car dealership (long and a lot of going back and forth). The only time I think they pulled a fast one on me was when I was working with the guy from the financing office. All the numbers that he gave me were in a monthly rate, not in bottom line dollars. But, I think I got a reasonable deal. If you looking to purchase a vehicle I would strongly recommend that you ask specifically for Johnnie. He seems relativity new there, but he is the most professional salesman I have met to date. read more

I've never written a yelp review...until now! Kingdom Chevy was just AWFUL! Because of my credit I knew that my interest rate, thus my payments, would be higher and I was absolutely fine with that. First, I had an appointment to pick up a 2007 Mercury Milan Premier that was on hold only to be told it was sold the day before. Then after waited 2 hours just to run my application, the manager comes out of nowhere to, I guess, "assess my personality" and immediately assumes I want a fuel efficient family car then gives me the keys to FILTHY Chevy Aveo to test drive. The sells guy named Elvin did all he could to avoid my questions about monies and said two of the most disturbing things I ever heard in a dealership: 1) "Don't worry about how much the car is, just pay the note and upgrade in a year." and 2) "Different banks own different cars, so if I got you that car you want the note would be higher." I continued to press about viewing a car similar to the Milan, only for them to show me a Nissan Versa. I didn't budge. So, Elvin had the audacity to be upset when I continued to ask to know more about what I'm paying and what cars where available. At this point I'm visibly angry and I wanted to speak with a manager. While waiting for 45 minutes for the manager, 4 street salesmen came in selling items from Febreeze to DVDs to shirts! At that point I was done. I went to the manager directly to ask for my license and he sarcastically says, "Don't worry, I'll bring you everything." That took another 30 minutes and for me to get that after he noticed I was on the phone with another dealership. It went from "What up, cuz!" to "Please, sir, I have a 2010 Malibu pulling up for you in 2 minutes." Biggest waste of five hours. I went down the street to South Chicago Dodge and in less than hour drove off the lot in a 2011 Malibu LS that was almost mint condition and paid less than Kingdom tried to quote me. read more

Purchased 2010 Charger SXT; car completely broke down in traffic within 30 days (alternator and battery both). Here's the rest of the story: After checking their online "inventory," I was bombarded with calls and follow-ups. I finally decided to give these people a chance. Huge mistake - What a dump. Hundreds of dead flies in the windows and flypaper hanging all over ceiling. We watched the same "employees" walk aimlessly back and forth, eating, running into the bathroom every 20 minutes (must have been all that coffee),,,but the place had at least 25 employees, but only about 6 customers on the Friday night that my wife and I went. Our used-car salesman was "Dan," and within 2 minutes of talking to this guy, I had zero trust or confidence in him (no eye contact whatsoever), but I kept giving him the benefit of the doubt. I had cash in hand, needed to purchase a vehicle for work, FINALLY found one that fit my budget and taste,,,,only took 3.5 hours. Dan kept saying he could get me in a 2013 Charger, but I kept saying that I just wanted to check out the 2010 Charger, as it was more affordable. After the test drive, I noticed that the inside of the car looked like it had literally been underwater - no worries, Dan was kind enough to give me a free voucher for a "full detail" at so-and-so's car wash across the street. OH, and wouldn't you know it? They pulled the Yo-Yo Financing trick which, although legal, is considered PREDATORY in many circles. When questioned about the financing and credit score, Dan boasted, "you make 12 payments on this car, and your score will be 800 ALL DAY." It was so funny, I wrote down the quote to bring to the attention of the head of finance department, who admitted Dan "slightly exaggerated." Due to the yo-yo financing, the contract had to be re-signed or I could get my money back. I made it a point to ask the finance guy if we could scratch the entire deal and go for the 2013. The Finance guy said that it was possible, but a bit of a pain for the salesman. I happened to see Dan and called him over to ask if we could go with that 2013 he kept pushing. I was told about this place when looking to buy a used truck and I was not disappointed. Not only did they go out of their way to find me the truck I was looking for but their finance department did a great job in securing me a great loan with a great interest rate. I am very happy with my new Acadia and will definitely go back here when it is time to buy another car. This place is absolutely TERRIBLE !!! I give them my scenario and tell them everything I want and don't want because I didn't want to come all the way across town and waste my time if they couldn't help me. They lied to get me in there, then kept me there for 3 hours telling me they'd got me approved and that they just had to make some minor repairs on the vehicle and it'd be ready for pick up the next day. Only to discover that I hadn't actually been approved and that rearranging my whole day preparing to pick up this vehicle and the hours I spent in the dealership was a colossal waste of my time. Not to mention that my salesman and everybody else I spoke with (maybe 8 people) assured me that they'd call me back and NOT ONE SINGLE person did. Purchased a car on 1/9/2016. This dealer is in a pretty bad neighborhood. I test drove the car and as i was parking on the sidewalk a homeless man was banging on the window trying to talk to me. Pretty weird experience. Alex was great to work with while i was there, but once the transaction was done its impossible to get a hold of him. I was supposed to have a the spare key sent to me the next day as it was locked away, but come to find out they are not going to give me one. The paper work even mentioned 2 keys. They are pretty expensive to buy as they are all in one key fobs. Wont be going back, which is too bad because i do like my vehicle. read more

I wish I could do zero stars or negative stars! I had a terrible experience just now after calling for some very simple and normal questions. I received a postcard regarding a recall for my vehicle this week and I first called on Wednesday to gain more information about coming in as the postcard directed. This woman seemed knowledgable and seemed to just want to end the call but remained pleasant. She told me to try come in on Saturday as during the week you can only come in as an appointment and I work during those hours. So I call today (Saturday) to just confirm some information and I reached the service department. She seemed agitated from the moment she picked up the phone. I attempted to ask some questions but couldn't put up with the attitude from this woman. I asked what the hours were for the recall customers coming in and she told be 8am -5pm the dealership was opened. That was different from what I was told Wednesday and I inquired about what I was told before and she said "well yeah of course you have to come in before 5pm to get work done you can't come in at 5pm and expect us to work on it. " well a 5 hour window of possible service time concerned me if I have to come in by 1pm so that "they could have time to work on the car" so I asked "how long does it take to get this done" because I didn't expect to be at the dealer that long. A very simple concern I might say. "Well how can I know how long if I don't know what you're coming in for" "what is the last 5 of the vin number so o can look it up" -Kingdom Chevy Service Department representative replied. I'm shocked at this point ! I had to gather my words to not snap at this point but I chose to end the conversation. So I chose to leave the call and try again with the operator as the menu choice indicated. This woman answered all my answers with the nastiest tone that I've ever heard. I asked her was the dealer really busy? She said well I can't see what's going on over there I'm all the way in casheir she said this as if I knew where she was and annoyed that I asked. So I chose to end the call and I made mention to her of the awful experience I had both times that I called with Kingdom Chevy representatives. I mentioned that even though she answered all my questions her tone was disgusting. I have decided not to visit this location after these phone calls and even though I am in the market to get a new car I wouldn't even consider your dealership after this! read more

I went to Kingdom 5/2/13 very upset with their customer service, cars in bad condition with high mileage an pricing, I went by myself a women, they tried to push off bad cars, tires worn down, rims all cracked, so I said no leaving they would not give me my ID, me and the manager had to pass wording back and forth. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Went in it was extremely crowded. After about a hour of waiting and being ship of from person to person I was ale to talk to one sales person "RAH". I went in to look at a car I had seen online I was told after the finance department ran my credit that they were ale to see what another bank offered me as a APR (which I know is a lie) also that the car was not the price advertised online because I was not a veteran. Looking at the online price there was nothing stating I had to be a veteran. Beware of this place and their service. we drove all the way down from Indiana to purchase a new Chevy Traverse only to be very frustrated and rushed in the end of the whole car purchase. For starters we got there after speaking with the sales rep over the phone and ended up having to wait over an hour to be served. Finally saw the car and it was filthy. Was reassured that they will have it cleaned for us. The finance department was a joke. They took over 2 hours to try and find financing for me even with a good credit score. When they did find financing they would only show me what my monthly payments would be and not the breakdown of interest rate or terms of the loan. Then they decided to add an extended warranty on my 2013 brand new Chevy Traverse without even asking me if I wanted it. So here they put over $2000 on my loan with out explanation. But the final straw was that there was a recall already out on the car and they didn't even know about it. I was lucky that nothing happened to me on my drive home because the car was stalling at stop lights. I could have gotten into an accident or head on collision even before getting home. It was embarrassing driving a brand new car and it stalling at the stop light and other cars driving by with me not knowing what the heck was going on. So i get home and try and register the car which mind you takes weeks. I had to call the title company which the lady there is incompetent. It was almost like i had to beg for my car to be registered before she would send my stuff to the BMV. The plates that the dealership gave me were almost expiring. Had to call her every day almost just so that I could get my car registered. She told me so many lies that my head was spinning when I was done with it. Then I called management to complain and always got the voicemail. Its like no manager ever works there or something. Even after leaving several messages no one ever returned my phone calls. But i bet you they will start returning my calls after this review. I was warned by another dealership not to use Kingdom, looking back I should have listened to them. I went there, I waited for over 2 hours just to find out that a deposit of $1500.00 was needed or a co signer. I was direct with my credit situation and finances, was told I'll need no money down if I was financed. Was offer financing, but need money down or I can have a co signer and no money down. Service could of been better. While, I waited in the waiting area, never at a desk, not even keeping me updated on progress, the salesman, took another family around showroom, sat them at his desk, and was in constant contact with them. Kingdom Chevrolet is a despicable organization. Everyone from the finance department to sales to customer service is inconsistent and extremely misleading. They are a very unethical organization; and are willing to hide facts for the sake of a sale. For over a year I have tried to resolve a matter pertaining to a contract for a vehicle that I have with them. Each and every time I call to try to talk to management, the phone rings to voicemail. I have left tons of voicemails and never get a response. I have went to the physical location demanding my contract and am told that it can't be retrieved at the time and I should try coming during business hours (when I am at work). As an alternative, a manager (Greg) told me he would personally handle the matter and call me with an update, letting me know when he had the contract on hand and holding it for me until I could make it in. I have not heard from him in weeks. I call today and am told that Greg is within walking distance and constantly get transferred to his voicemail. After calling multiple times I'm told, "Yes, Greg is a manager, but he no longer covers what you're trying to handle." I'm transferred to yet ANOTHER manager who, of course, does not answer his direct line. These employees are extremely unhelpful, dishonest, misguided, and have the furthest clue on how to establish business processes that are reputable. If anyone is interested in buying a vehicle, I strongly recommend that you stay FAR away from this place. Please save yourself the trouble and exhaustion. It is a complete and utter nightmare and I feel as though they should no longer be in business. read more

I don't even want to give this place a star. They are the worst. I found this place via an online suggestion. I went to the dealership in hopes of buying a used car with low mileage, but when I went to the used lot nobody even bothered to help. I left and looked at their cars online. I made an appointment for a test drive, but I was not feeling well so I had to cancel. After a couple of hours I felt better and asked my husband to call to make sure the car was available. We drove there from our home in Indiana, only to find that the care was in the body shop having some scratches buffed out. We were told the car would be back on Wednesday, but when my husband called he was told it would not be in until Thursday. When he again called on Thursday he was told it would be in on Friday. On Friday he received a call that the car was available. He drove there and it was a different year car with double the miles. He was then told that the car we were interested in was having a recalled part replaced, but that it would be back in the morning. Hector who claimed to be a customer service manager apologized to my husband and told him that if we did not hear from him by 9:30 the next morning to call him. At this point my husband and I decided that we would no longer attempt to contact them. We should not have to continue to contact a car dealership in order for them to sell us a car. However the next day they called my husband and told him that the car was there and asked him to come in to take a test drive. He left shorty after, but soon returned due to a phone call within the same hour that the car was back in the shop due to a wrecked bumper. At this point I said something is very suspicious about this place. I attempted to contact the general manager, but they would not give me any contact information for the general manager. They refused to even provide me with a name. At this point I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. After filing this complaint we were contacted by Rob at the dealership and told the vehicle was there. Against our better judgment my husband went to look at the car. Rob then asked my husband upon arrival if I would be willing to retract my complaint with the BBB. My husband stated that he would discuss it with me. My husband then waited for over an hour for them to produce the car. They told him that they had to go pick it up from the body shop. When the car arrived it was very obvious that it had not been inside a body shop due to it being covered in bird droppings. They also told him that they had just put quite a bit of money into the car replacing the bumper and tail light. It was obvious that neither had been replaced and when my husband questioned it they again changed their story. My husband then went on a test drive and found that he was satisfied with the vehicle and made an offer on it which they did not accept. After talking it over with my husband we again made a counter offer on Saturday afternoon. The salesman that we spoke with Dominic never called my husband back and we thought ok he must be busy because its Saturday. Monday rolled around and still no call in response to our offer. Finally on Tuesday my husband sent a text to Rob who is Dominic's sales partner and our original salesman letting him know that Dominic had not responded. He said that they were not able to accept our offer. I'm perfectly fine with them not accepting our offer and as a matter of fact I am relieved, but to not call or text to let us know is unacceptable. I feel like I dodged a bullet with this place. As for my retraction of my complaint with the BBB I do not and will not retract what I have said. The customer service was terrible from beginning to end and I really do feel like this place is doing underhanded business, but its not my problem any more. My business is going elsewhere. I bought a vehicle and was told the vehicle went through the service center it apparently did not because the next day it had something wrong with it over a thousand to fix. i brought the car back and the ignorant salesman said that it was not his job to know what is wrong with the car. bs if u ask me. the same day customer relations called me and asked my why was i so unhappy with the business i explained to her my situatuion and she said she would forward it to the manager. when i missed the managers call, it was the hardest thing to reach him. The worst place ever. I had spoken to a representative over the phone named Ali. He assured me that I'd be getting a 2006 Chevy Impala for 2900. We had corresponded for OVER 2 weeks. I informed him that I'd be getting in from a different state abd that I DIDN'T WANT TO FINANCE. Upon walking into the dealership, my boyfriend and I were greeted by a big, poorly dressed guy named Marc or Martin. I asked for Ali and he flat out told me NO that I needed to deal with him. I began to get pissed because he told me that he was the only guy that would do the selling and that he worked for Ali. He flat out told me that what Ali and I negotiated was off the table and that the owner wasn't going to go down. I then asked to speak to Ali once more and he told me that if I wanted to speak to him I needed to call the number and ask for him. I called ( in his face) and he hurried to the exact room where Ali eventually appeared from. Once Ali sat down and spoke to me, he lied and said they sold the car and that they had another one just like it with 70,000 more miles on it for 4000. I knew he was lying because I called up there Friday, they're closed Saturday and Sunday and I showed up there Monday morning. The big guy Marc or Martin was there to ONLY try to intimidate me. Their customer service was horrible. What further pissed me off was the fact that Ali tried denying the phone calls and emails we shared. Worst experience of my life!!!!! I called these people because it was a 5 hour drive one way from my state to where they were located at. The sales rep did not have actual pictures up of the expensive suv, it was stock pictures of a different one in its place. He told me it was beautiful and has no issues or problems with it. I asked are the rims stock or a special kind. He said they were unique and not stock brand. I was sold on it by his word and description! I set up an appointment for them to have it ready for me the next day to take it for a test drive. I drove 5 hours with my husband one way with cash in hand. The value was going to cost me as much as a house cost now days! But I wanted something nice for myself to drive home back 5 hours! when me and my husband arrived there. They couldn't find the suv we had an appointment for. We drove around with the rep from lot to lot into bad neighborhoods. Where they were located in! For over an hour we searched! Finally we see it buried under snow with most of their vehicles like that. It was filthy, right side door mirror was broken, and left side it looked like someone duck taped it on, monkey rigged! Inside was filthy like it was used for work in a factory..Parts inside were missing on the seats. They said it was never in an accident! more lies!!!! But my husband own his own company and does repairs on vehicles for a living. So we seen where parts were replaced and an accident it clearly was in. but probably not reported on carfax. When we started it up. A ticking sound coming from the engine and a bad pulley on it too. I told the rep do you hear that. He played def and said I don't hear anything!!! Wow he wasn't a good actor for sure, cause I don't wear hearing aids and im not 100 years old! But I was treated like I was. For the low miles on that very expensive ride it sure was broke down in many ways and the engine scared me! Plus the rims were stock rims and not unique like I was told. They had brake dust and corrosion all over them! We couldn't even take it for a test drive because it was blocked in by other vehicles they own and didn't bother moving it. Not that I wanted too at this point! Scratches all over it and the snow wasn't even defrosted off the windshield, Covered in dirt to hide the scratches we brushed off and seen.. Accident for sure written all over that vehicle! Their service department should know better and how to fix it. We drove back 5 more hours home with over 37000 cash in our hands and really let down and 10 hours of driving under our belt. These people wasted our time and gas and lied through their teeth!! Now they keep calling us non stop since they have our number 8 times in a day when we asked them to stop politely. That's what happened to us truthfully!! read more

I purchased a 20209 Buick enclave and 3 weeks after having the vehicle the check engine light came on. I went back to the dealer on 11/14/15 the sale person Dominic was very rude and ignorant and told me because it was an as is sale they didn't have to cover anything and I needed to pay $130.00 for a diagnostic test which I refused because I had not paid my first payment on the vehicle. I then had Onstar run a diagnostic and it came back with 2 different codes one with the power train and one regarding the fuel something. I then contacted General Motors who stated that they would pay for an hour Diagnostic test had that done 11/2115 and come to find out the Catalytic converter is bad on the vehicle. They tell me it is $800.00 to repair. I know what they have done they disconnected the battery to reset the car so when I went in to test drive and purchase the vehicle the light was off. I will not be able to pass an emission test with the vehicle in this condition and I am contacting General Motors again as well as the States Attorney's Office . read more
