Unprofessional Communication and Lack of Full Disclosure…read more I brought my car in on Friday, Nov 14 and was told the part I needed would arrive on either Nov 15 or Nov 18. I asked Juan to call me with an update either way. No call came. On Wednesday, Nov 19, I called for an update and was told the part still wasn't in, that someone would pick it up, and that my car would be ready that evening. No follow-up. On Thursday, Nov 20, I called again and was told the car should be ready after a brake check. Because promised callbacks had never happened, I called back at 3 p.m. and got no return call. When I asked directly if the car would be ready that evening, I was not given a yes/no answer--only vague responses telling me to wait for his call. At 4:45 p.m., Juan finally called and said it was ready. Since I had been told not to come without his call, I had already cancelled my ride and couldn't get there. When I picked my car up this morning, the total was $28 more than what Juan repeatedly quoted. I also raised a July 2025 issue: I paid over $1,000 for brakes sold by Douglas without being told the cheaper pads contain more metal and often squeak. Juan said Mark would call me to discuss the lack of disclosure. That call never happened. Multiple missed updates, unclear communication, undisclosed product issues, and inconsistent pricing. Based on this, I cannot recommend South Chicago Jeep/Dodge.

You've had my car for a week & I pick it up & the check engine light is on?! HOW?! It wasn't on…read morewhen I dropped it off, 7 days ago. I've been calling all week to speak to a GM (picked up my car Tuesday) and no one has called me back. Yes, i left a voice-mail I also texted, yesterday and I was told via text after lunch they'd call me back...I haven't heard anything that was a day ago. Called today Friday, it just rings...really? I dropped my car off first thing in the morning 6/30. I was the first car since they don't take appointments. Douglas did my car intake and was my contact person. I brought my car in for windshield wipers, windshield wipermotor and oil change. I also asked to have front & rear brakes, tune-up, tires, and side mirror replacement priced/quoted. I told Douglas I'd be in every month until all my maintenance was done cause I needed a lot of work done on my car. My car is older and I'm getting a new one by the end of 2026 or before, once I decide what car I want. Douglas tells me they have to order the part (motor) cause my car is older and they won't have it for a week. I say "cool" i knew that was a possibility before I brought my car in cause I called the parts department the week before. I've brought my car to this dealership since I purchased it. I need a lot of work due to being out of work the past 1.5 yrs. Anytime i get work done i take it to this dealership. I'm in the customer service industry myself and consistency is key especially for something as personal as a car. My problem is....I was notified my car was ready via text by Douglas...he said "if there is no more work you want done now let me know and I'll close the paperwork" i text back that "I was on my way and I'd bring it in next month for the other work that was priced". I'm in the Uber on my way and call to have Douglas bring my car up, another guy at the service desk answers and asked to take a message cause Douglas is busy....i ask about bringing my car up, he says the front lot is full with pickups, I say "ok" "can you have Douglas have my paperwork ready?" (he never responded to the text when i said i was on my way) he says "if you called you and told you it was ready then the paperwork is ready? with a condescending tone...I hang up on him. I arrive at the dealership go straight to the cashier....she doesnt have my paperwork . So i go to the service desk find Douglas he hands me the paperwork which should be with the cashier. He texted at 8:38a saying my car was ready. Anywho he walks me upfront and before we go I here him tell someone else to have the porter put my front license plate on....I asked for this to be done upon drop off and they've had the car a week. Last time I was in for maintenance I asked for my new plates to be put on and they didn't...So I'm waiting, waiting, waiting, waiting, i see a porter and ask for my car with a smile. He brings it up within. 5 mins...my front plate that I asked to be put on is sitting on my dashboard. The price for the work was also more than I was quoted by Doulas, he said $721, I got there and the total was $778 usually, what they tell you and what you pay is the same. I get in my car settle my self my steering wheel is filthy as usual when i pick it up from them. I drive out the lot....WHY IS MY ENGINE LIGHT ON?!! I call back and speak to Larry (service manager) he says he doesn't know he'll have someone meet me in the front parking lot to scan in. I come back around as I told Larry I would and no one's there. I wait again.....3 mins call back Larry..."he should be out there....Douglas says your engine light is on cause something with the exhaust" he was more specific but i don't speak car language....I say "why wasn't I notified then, you've had my car a week! is this going to interfere with my emissions test?" Larry says "yes it will effect your emmisions test" I say " well why wasn't I told?! You've had my car all week?!" As I said I've gone to this dealership for years and usually if they find something else that needs attention they'll let me know ASAP. WTF?! Larry says to fix the exhaust issue off the top of his head 200-300$. So I have to do Uber to work all week again? I don't appreciate it, there's no gratitude nor customer service and yes through the years they have dropped the ball before. I'm over it at this point and it's time to buy a new car anyway....I won't be fucking with them again. The quoted repairs are 2000$ plus, I'll take my business elsewhere. The constant inconvenience and the rudeness is not cool and NOT SERVICE. I also pay them what they charge! I DO NOT TRY & NEGOTIATE OR GET A CHEAPER PRICE. I'm done, I'll be buying my new car from a different dealership.

I thought it was too good, so I looked up the dealership online. A lot of the reviews claimed a bait and switch. Being paranoid, I requested the VIN number on the model I was being quoted, and I told them I wanted to test drive it when I got there. Car was exactly what I expected. VIN matched, and haven't run into any issues yet and seeing as how it's covered with Toyota's bumper to bumper warranty, I think it'll be good. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars - Dealership's A/C wasn't all that great, and there were only 2 finance guys that took quite long. Price was all good, but waiting it a hot dealership with better things to do because the finance guys were taking their sweet time irritated me. Also, other dealerships had free snacks. They had a vending machine that was quite cheap, but would've liked the complementary snacks.

My car would not start anymore so I took it to dealer. I was without a car for 6 DAYS!!!!! Paying for Ubers and taking public transportation. On the 6th day i received an email stating all my car needed was a new battery. This is a 5 minute test. It is absolutely unacceptable that it took them SIX DAYS! to tell me I needed a new battery. Spoke with Kieth he was understanding that it was unacceptable to wait so long and waived the diagnostic fee. Kieth stated he was gone for a couple of days and things weren't running smoothly in the department. That is not my problem. The department should be able to run accordingly with or without you ! I bought my own battery and the mechanic at Toyota offered changed it out for me free of charge Which I do appreciate. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience

I'm usually patient but, this was kind of obnoxious since they had taken my money but, were now barring my exit until this person came from home. Also, the numbers didn't reflect what we had agreed to by the time I got around to reading everything. Maybe keeping me waiting was a tactic to get me so exasperated that I'd just pay without caring or looking? Either way be careful going to all the dealerships on Western in Chicago!!!

I few days ago I had 2 front rotors and a set of brake pads done for the front wheels of my car as well as an oil change and an engine air filter installed at Kingdom Chevrolet. Needless to say it was a professional job well done. I waited 3 days and said to myself why not have the rear wheels rotors and brakes replaced as well. So I went back today to have the rear wheels done the same as the front wheels. Nevertheless kingdom performed another professional seamless job. I get the dealership is known to charge more, but you get what you pay for. It's imperative to take your car to a trusted well trained repair shop with trusted automotive technicians that will tell you the truth about the work and parts you need for the betterment of your vehicle. KINGDOM CHEVROLET WILL ALWAYS BE A TRUSTED, COURTEOUS, WELL TRAINED DEALERSHIP AND REPAIR SHOP. 10-20-2025. G. Clark
