The first experience was a lesson learned and so I educated myself on what to look for in a used appliance. So I made the decision to check out King's Appliances. Not sure why I didn't do it sooner, we're practically neighbors. But I'm glad I did. After 2 visits with very patient staff as I put everything they showed me under a microscope, I chose a really nice Whirlpool washer an dryer. I dealt with Spencer on my 2nd visit and he was very helpful in help me make my final choice. He is very knowledgeable about his products. He knew things very specific to my model of washer that impressed me very much. He was patient and helpful. Spencer sold me a Kenmore Elite electric dryer for $250 with no delivery or installation charges during the month of December. After installation and 3 loads laundry I was concerned that there was not enough heat. Spencer came over and found the the metallic flexible exhaust duct had a couple kinks restricting the flow of hot air and compromising the efficiency and potentially our safety. He corrected the problem and our dryer works great. I just wanted to say how much we appreciate the professionalism and courtesy that seems to be lacking elsewhere. Highly recommended. read more

I bought a fridge here and it's been a total disaster. 1, The fridge that I had chosen apparently got damaged at the store, at this point I wanted my 1200 back and they said no and made me choose another fridge 2, Fridge number one was delivered and was broken in 3 weeks I had to throw away food worth more than 600 since I was not home for the weekend I couldn't save anything. The most disappointing thing is when the freezer defrosted the ice melted and damaged my hardwood floors. They sent someone to fix it but guess what it broke again in two weeks I had to throw out all the food again 600+. 3, After calling multiple times they told be to go to the store and pick another fridge, after two weeks same thing happened the fridge broke again, the guy said it was leaking Freon which he filled up and said it will most likely happen again, I tried to call and I kept getting told the owner will call you which he never did. I got great service from Spencer. When the first refrigerator I bought had problems he came to my house the morning after I reported it and did all he could to fix it. When I reported the next day that it was still malfunctioning he bent over backwards to help me find a suitable replacement and then set it up in the back room of his store so that I could listen to it and thoroughly check it out. He fixed a minor problem with one of the crisper drawers and it was delivered to me promptly the next day. He didn't charge me for the second delivery. The 90 day warranty is now up and the fridge is working great. read more

Wow. So rude. I was told the delivery person would arrive after four, to pick up a fridge my landlord was displeased with. They showed up at 3- I was not home. I asked them to kindly wait while I drove home and the woman (who seemed to barely understand English) gave me an screaming earful about how it was my fault that I didn't like the fridge (when in fact it was my landlord- and anyway, scheduled time is scheduled time) and how it was going to cost her $150 to have the fridge picked up free to me. She yelled at me for a few other things not my fault like that my landlord had said i was there when i was not, and that the fridge was supposed to be outside (sorry yelling woman, I am 105 lbs and cant move a fridge downstairs, and its not my fault your delivery guy isn't strong enough for the job- maybe you should pay two people) and i just ended up pleading for her to make sure her pick up guy either waited or came back. So we bought a washer/dryer and a side by side refrigerator from the Napa location. First of all, the lack of communication due to the fact that no one speaks ENGLISH should have been our first red flag, but we have had friends buy from them with no problem so we didn't think we'd have one either. Well that's definitely not what happened. The first day we had the fridge it was cooling but wasn't cold enough to keep anything frozen so they can and fixed the fan. Now it's so cold in my fridge that I have thrown over $100 worth of food away because of this problem. Now they are supposedly coming to "fix" it after a week of back and forth phone calls and unplugging and turning down the temperature etc. We told them we wanted our money back and they said we would have to let him try and come fix it first! WTF? And to top it off his wife tried telling me that I would have to pay $40 to have them come and remove the fridge. Again, WTF?! DO NOT BUY FROM KING'S APPLIANCE (both locations are run by the same person, so don't let the language barrier fool you. They know exactly what kind of business that are running.) read more

Don't do it. The appliances I bought were older models. The dryer died after a year (the washer is fine). The customer service lady (receptionist) is the worst. Seems like she is trying to get off the phone ASAP. She was hard to work with. The technician at this place did provide free labor, which is nice but after 3 different visits for 3 different issues, I gave up on the dryer. It's because of her I got the right size for the apartment, and just what my tenants needed. She scheduled the delivery and pick up from my purchase, and it was done that day, just as I needed! Later in the day 2 men came with the refrigerator, carefully brought it into the apartment, leveled it, made sure all was right. They have a 90 day guarantee, and hauled away the old one too. If I could give them a minus 10 I would. The worst service I have ever had! We bought a refrigerator from them just over 6 months ago then just after the warrantee expired the compressor went out. The repairman we had to pay for to look at it said they jimmy rigged with a temporary fix and they knew the compressor was fried. So we waited for 4 days for their repairman to come and he never showed. In the meantime all the food we bought for Xmas, (the fridge broke 5 days before the holiday), had to be thrown out. So the owner offered to sell us another on for 1/2 price, which we did and should not have. I paid extra for an ice maker to be installed and after they set it up the ice maker didn't work. So I called and asked them to come look at it and she refused. The owner had the nerve to say it was costing HER too much money and she started telling at me! We missed work, hundreds of dollars of food had to be thrown away, plus waiting for days for a repairman who never showed. So I was not able to have Xmas at my house either and had to wait at the house while I needed to work and finish getting ready for the holidays. I am reporting them to the better business bureau and I am going to send them a bill for my time and missed work! DON'T BUY FROM THEM. YOU WILL BE SORRY! UPDATE 5/2012......... So now the owner is trying to blackmail me and tells me she going to press charges against me for writing a bad check unless I take down my Yelp review! I paid for half of the replacement fridge when I bought it and I said I would pay the other half upon delivery which I did. So when the the ice maker, which I paid extra for, did not work on the replacement fridge and they never sent anyone out to fix it after promising they would numerous times, I stopped payment on the final check. Not only did it not work, they broke a piece off of it (that we later saw was super glued together and already broken) when delivering it. I'm pleased with the W/D combo I purchased from Kings. From the get-go there was an issue with the washer making an odd noise on the spin cycle. The installer asked me to place a service call. The process for getting the technician to my place was encumbered by a few miscommunications and a missed appointment. Bottom line: it was repaired to my satisfaction and I believe I got a good deal overall. Have used Kings 3 times to get appliances for our rental units and our home. They have good units that are reasonably priced. Plus they deliver and install making it super easy. They don't have great communication skills so it may seem that they aren't getting what you want...but they do...it may seem like a little bit of a leap of faith but we've had good results using them and would recommend them. read more

At first it seemed so easy picked out a nice washer and dryer, had it delivered same day and installed. Used it once or twice it was fine. Then a code came up turning off our washer each time we used it. After many failed attempts Kings attempted to fix it. Did not work, we had them pick it up to service it at the Napa location. After having the washer for a week we still had not gotten a call about the status. We had left many messages called numerous times a day and nothing!!!! I had to research for a cell phone number they called me from to get ahold of them. Finally a week and a half later they told me it would be 3 weeks to fix. I was outraged we hadn't been contacted earlier and that it would take a month total to fix this problem. I asked for a temporary washer until fixed and they never called back after saying they would. A week went by after 15 or more calls were made by myself. And they still haven't called. We have had to go to the bbb for help resolving the problem. Our next step is court. We are out $560 bucks and have been without a washer for over two weeks with still no word from kings. THEY ARE A TERRIBLE BUSINESS. DO not go here! Worst experience ever! read more

BEWARE! This is my 6 month review after purchasing a refrigerator. At first, you assume 'Hey, this fridge looks great and it's only $500!! And a 3 month warranty? You can't beat that!' Then the unit begins to leak all over my hardwood floor. One of the service techs there is great and offers to come out and look at it(3 month warranty) and replace it if need be with a different unit. We end up needing another unit. It's very difficult to get a hold of anyone and when I finally did I demanded our money back they said simply "no." Ridiculous- how is this company in business? To make matters worse we have a brand new baby and all the food people brought over was ruined! The tenant called and said the washer had leaked, I called Claudia on Sunday and she had it taken care of right away, it was NOT the washer it was a valve, which had nothing to do with the washer. The tenant called again and said the fridge was not working. Once again I put the call into Claudia at Kings appliances, she was on it right away. They fixed it and it is running perfectly. They are very good not only sales but after sales which is most important. I cannot speak highly enough how they dealt with my call right away. This business does not even deserve one star. Do not do business with them! First of all, the refrigerators they advertise of Craig's List are never available. After much waiting for a refrigerator that fit my needs I purchased a used refrigerator from them that they assured me was in working order. I also purchased a one year warranty for an additional $99, just in case. The refrigerator failed several weeks after delivery, spoiling a large amount of food. They were not quick to respond with service. After several tries to repair the refrigerator they offered as exchange. The replacement unit they brought was several levels in quality below the one I had purchased and the door gaskets were torn and poorly patched with silicone. I told them to just remove the refrigerator and return it when it was fully and properly repaired. After a time they did return the refrigerator claiming the problem had been corrected. Shortly thereafter the refrigerator failed, again spoiling food. I called and told them I wanted a refund to which they said no! I then requested they come and haul the refrigerator away I was so disgusted with it all to no avail. No response was forthcoming. Recently (with two months left on the warranty) Al, the owners son, came out and examined the unit and offered an exchange. I told him at this point I would take only a unit that was assured to run better than the one I currently have. He assured me he would get right on it. A week later and not a peep or response. Additionally, they do not return my calls and messages. If by luck I happen to get through they make excuses and essentially blow me off. At this point I am ready to do what I should have done in the first place, buy a new unit. SAVE YOURSELF MONEY AND FUTURE HEADACHES, DO NOT PATRONIZE THESE PEOPLE. read more
