Two weeks after installing a new circuit board via Nordic via Home Warranty to our thermostat we attempted to use our AC on the hottest day of this spring. It did not work. It worked last month when our home passed inspection. When we followed up to explain they must have installed incorrectly they refused to service us on the hottest day of the year. They also claimed they could not test the AC two weeks ago because it was "cold out". We now have to use a better repair company and seek legal counsel due to bad installation. read more

We were referred to Nordic through Frigidaire for a dishwasher repair. Unfortunately our dishwasher was a lemon so we had to have it serviced 3 times until the manufacture would take it back. Don't use this company. I had a Samsung that broke repeatedly year after year. The "repairs" did not fix the problem long term. They "fixed" it multiple times until it was out of warranty. When the issue persisted, and the warranty expired, they refused to fix it at no charge. They should have fixed it at their expense since it was never properly fixed by them despite repeated opportunities to do so. I will never use them again and will tell anyone who is considering them to go elsewhere. Using then was a very costly mistake. read more

As the managing partner of a company owning 860+ apartment units, I spent 40 years dealing with property service people, contractors and all sorts of folks in various trades. We have a 6-month old Samsung dishwasher and this is the company that Samsung USA sent to check out and fix a problem with one of the sensors which caused the machine to start up by itself every couple of minutes. Marc and Chad were at our house the next day. The service was maybe the best I have ever received from any contractor! The repair job was much more than expected but, they kept their sense of humor, had key parts with them and had it running smoothly. They had to pull the dw out, work in a small area which involved crawling around in back and on the sides. I could go on but the bottom line is that these guys are skilled, honest professionals who do the job right the first time. You'll be glad you called them. read more

Chad from Nordic has had to service our fridge so many times, I may have to add him to our Christmas card list. We have a Samsung that, after just over a year, started giving us problems. After speaking with Samsung, they scheduled a service through Nordic and we couldn't be happier. Our fridge had continued to give us problems but without hesitation the staff at Nordic was there to continue helping us figure out the issue and have done whatever they could to solve it. Multiple visits by no means is an indication that Chad doesn't know what he's doing; it's solely a bad fridge. Everyone at Nordic is very professional, friendly, organized and respectful of time. First person (two others companies came before him) to correctly diagnose the problem with my DCS oven. They work on ovens, washers, dryers, etc. in addition to refrigeration. I bought an oven at Home Depot a month ago. When unpacking we discovered damage and scratches to the appliance that weren't noticeable before. So a day after delivery I went to Home Depot to have them replace the unit. Long story short: they will not. They will make it a manufacturer warranty issue you have to file and take care of. Lesson learned: next time go to Lowes or a local retailer because they will simply replace the brand new appliance. So we ended up with filing a warranty claim and Nordic Refrigeration seems to be the contractor in our area. Marc showed up a few days later and was as surprised as we were that HD doesn't replace appliances with delivery damage. So he ordered the parts which took a week or so to show up because it's unusual parts for a repair. They arrived Friday afternoon and Marc just left installing them (it's Monday afternoon - he just added us to the end of his work day). He's a great guy, the company is very communicative and aside from the fact that they should never have been involved the entire experience was good. Well, I hope I don't see them again any time soon, but if I have to I know it's a competent company to deal with. read more

I called Nordic to fix an issue on my Jenn-Air refrigerator - the drainage hole for the coils was clogged, causing water to overflow into the freezer. Setting up the appointment was easy, and the repairman was friendly and professional. He knew that the manufacturer had a program to provide a replacement part for free, and he handled everything around procuring the part for me. Nordic has a service contract with Kitchenaid which is a good thing because Kitchenaid appliances are not that great (all three of the ones I purchased have had a major failure). I had a repair scheduled for today on my Refrigerator from a different company, which had a "Glitch" in their system, which was the second time I was affected by their glitch. I was able to get an appointment with Nordic for the next day. I called and asked if they could possibly do it today, since I took off work and I already had my refrigerator emptied. He was polite and did a thorough assessment of what was wrong with our dishwasher. He called the manufacturer, Bosh and advised them that the problem couldn't be repaired and it was a manufacturer defect...They agreed. He told us what we had to do to get a free replacement dishwasher. We followed his written plan. Our 2 year old dishwasher,out of warranty, is being replaced free by Bosh. We were referred to Nordic when our two year old Maytag washer bit the dust by the company which issued us a five year warranty. They called immediately and had a repairman out to see us on the next business day. (Naturally it went out on a Saturday!) Chad came over and in 20 minutes diagnosed the problem which was that the computer inside the machine was blown. When he got the part he came on the same day and installed it successfully. We had a reoccurring issue with our Bosch dishwasher. Marc figured out that it was our overly soft water making the unit produce too many suds, stopping the unit from completing the cycle. Who knew? I am absolutely giving Nordic no stars as they have not fixed my dryer and apparently do not know how to repair it. I bought a maytag washer and dryer 11/2/17. After 2 months,it had a problem. Called the warranty department and they sent out a person from another company. It was my blower wheel which was replaced. However, the next time I went to dry my clothes, the dryer would not complete drying my closes. Nordic came out and Tony Padilla (the technician) said nothing was wrong with my dryer. Obviously, there was so he said even though nothing was wrong, he would order me a new sensor panel/motherboard. 2 weeks later he brings it over and installs it. Again, I go to dry clothes and now there is no heat coming into the dryer. Another 2 weeks go by and he comes out, looks at my dryer and says nothing is wrong. That now it is my electricity in my home. He can only get 120 volts instead of the 220. He tells me to call an electrician. I called an electrician after Tony left and the electrician was able to get to my house within an hour. $75.00 later, he tests my electricity and gets a reading of 220. Either Tony's equipment is faulty or he just doesn't know what to do to fix a dryer. Meanwhile Maytag is paying this man for each visit he makes. He has made 3 visits to my house and still has not fixed anything. I would be very weary of this company, especially in the Roseville/Sacramento area. I called Tony when the electrician was there and he has not returned my call. I even video taped the electrician getting 220 volts. If you have a choice, do NOT call these people! A waste of your time! I had to give a star rating to submit this, but even one star is way too much! read more

These folks are great. We bought a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes about 9 months ago and have discovered that Samsung has real issues with their ice maker in this expensive French door w a drawer model. We called Lowes and they had us call Nordic to fix it--still on warranty. The folks there are great. They responded right away, set up a time window and did the repairs. They have unfortunately been out 3 times because of the poor design Samsung has been foisting on customers- but it is not their fault. They have been quick to respond and service the ice maker, even replaced the whole thing. Chad is our repairman, who is clearly experienced in this business, friendly, and does a good job, even cleaning up well from the melting ice etc. Arrives on time, too. I'm starting to spell this Samsung fridge starting with the word lemon- but have no complaints about this repair company. If you need a fridge fixed, they are good ones to call! But my next fridge won't be a Samsung! read more

My Samsung dishwasher broke down 2 days before hosting 19 people for Thanksgiving dinner! Nordic was the only local company who worked with Samsung dishwashers. Super polite receptionist informed me they might be able to fit me in the schedule but didn't know for sure. Actually called me back when they said they would keeping me posted on if they could make it to my house. Marc called toward the end of the day saying he could come and check out my dishwasher. He is VERY knowledgable with all appliances. He offered his card and said we can call him whenever we needed advise on buying new appliances, fixed my dishwasher, and told us the best ways to keep our appliances in tip top condition. Nordic refrigeration was referred to me by kitchen aid. Marc came yesterday and spent over three hours here dealing with my dishwasher which is throwing curve balls. This is the second repair company that's tried to repair this. He wasn't able to figure out the problem yet but says he hasn't given up. He would not accept any payment for his service call/ time. If this unit can be repaired I'm confident that he can make it happen. It's comforting when the owner of the company is doing the work. read more
