18 year customer, never again. Ed told me $210 and he has the part on order. Instead my charges turned out to be $350 and it's the same old part it was before. My previous service seemed a little high but I'm a loyal customer and I don't mind paying a little more, because I think I know what I'm getting. Now I guess he is just crooked. I know how to work my cars, my car wouldn't smog so I replaced the CCV valve on it. Still got a check engine light on so instead of continuing to spend money, I took it to Ed to help me diagnose and get a cost on having him do it. Turns out the intake boot slipped off the throttle body.i I can go back and change it myself but the convenience of $210 and supporting a small business is what I chose. I've trusted this shop for almost 2 decades, and it's different now. The trust is broken, everything feels like a hard sell. And now those feelings are confirmed. I went back to the shop 15 minutes after picking it up because the car was still running rough and throwing error codes. Eddie came out to the car and stuck his head in my car, without a mask on his face 4 inches away. I asked him three times to put a mask on nicely at first, if he's going to be in my face. He refused and argued about wearing a mask. At this point I've made my mind that this is my last visit and I'll just take the car somewhere else for service. I told Eddie that I was never coming back, turned my back and walked back to my other car I drove in. Eddie followed me back to my car yelling at me wanting to argue and fight. I shut my car door and he opens my car door up and threatened me really trying to start a fight with me. He was yelling and spitting in my face. All because I asked him to wear a mask when we are face to face. Disinfect your car after they touch it because this shop is anti-mask. I'm not a crazy mask person. I only asked him to wear a mask when in uncomfortably close proximity, when I went into his shop I didn't say a word and wore my mask and he didn't. His house his rules. My car, my face, my rules and my choice to take my business elsewhere. If you do go to this guy, ask him to save the parts and take pictures before and after Protect yourself; You're better off at the dealership. Update: the car is throwing the same codes as it was before so that confirms my suspicion this guy is a scammer opportunist. My best guess is they didn't test the vacuum system after they reattached the old boot. Took my money and sent me on my way. What a joke. Save your money, go someplace else. read more

Eddie is the owner of this shop & he was great! Been here for 15 years & specializing in the German & Swedish automobiles, but he can work on any car. Before opening his own shop, he was a mechanic at the #1 BMW dealer in the US for many years. So many people I know & work with take their cars to Eddie & all recommended him. He not only does great quality work at extremely decent prices, but he also serves a really good cup of Colombian coffee...and proud of it:P We brought him a Mazda today. Got it towed in at 8am...he found what the issue was that morning & got it done before he closed up shop same day! Thankfully it was a minor thing that only cost a couple hundred dollars. Went in for a smog test and the owner, Ed, showed me that one of my motor mounts was completely cracked so the motor was not being held in place in the right front of the car which is dangerous. I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee that I could not get past the smog test, even after advice and repairs from other mechanics. Eddie at King's Auto Clinic identified the problem very quickly, and it was nothing too expensive. He was also quite friendly and explained everything thoroughly. After completing his repairs, the car passed the smog test with a large margin for error, unlike the last couple times when it barely passed. I found an HONEST Auto shop! Based on the recommendation from a Family member I had my Nissan towed there when the transmission wouldn't shift into gear. A competitor quoted me $2800 on a used transmission. The next morning I got a call from Eddie with an estimate. When he confirmed the transmission was shot, I was expecting a similar quote. I cant comment on the service, as every time ive shown up for a smog check, the technician was out. I called several times before going to ensure they were there. If you tell me that you do smog tests from 8am to 430pm...and you are never there after 2...then you dont really do smog after 430. Do you? read more

My daughter went to get a smog test (as she is new to Cali) & her oil changed, as it turned out she didn't have the paper for the smog test (so that was put on hold) but they said they would still give her the coupon price for the smog test even though she couldn't come back til the day after the coupon ran out.... and if that wasn't enough, when they inspected her brakes she needed new brakes and rotors. They gave her a special on the brakes, a Christmas discount. They were very nice and helpful to my daughter which deems them as a 5 star place! read more
