I've been taking my truck there about 4 times! They are very honest and have good prices. They are also friendly and have a lot of knowledge in cars. I trust them and sometimes it's hard to trust mechanics. When the Toyota of Orange did a recall on my truck, I noticed they did not do a good job and took it here and they told me to call them back because it was their (Toyota of Orange) error. They went over with me of what to tell The Toyota dealership and I do not know anything about car parts. So I really appreciate them being patient with me and answering my questions :) read more

Good honest people! I made a call to Brian a month ago re: 2014 Kia Optima. He quoted me a price that was much cheaper than the dealer. (I know, everyone is cheaper than the dealer) I didn't end up going with him that time, but promised I'd give him a shot at my next service. So today I became a customer and here's where he won me over; He could have charged me more for the service I was planning on getting, but he suggested less and saved me some money. Now he didn't let me leave without my car being 100%, but he didn't charge me more than needed. (and I was ready to spend more) This kind of honesty is what I look for in a mechanic. The people at Duncan's are the best mechanics I have ever found! I started going there after hearing that the dealership wanted to charge my roommate a lot of money to fix her brakes even though she hadn't noticed any issues. She still believed there could be a problem but decided to go to Duncan's since she thought they might charge her less. They ended up telling her that her brakes were fine and didn't charge her anything! Since then I have been taking my car there for the last four or five years and they have always been very helpful and honest with reasonable prices. I was lucky enough to live close enough to walk there for a while but I'm still going there even though I live farther away. They are heroes! read more

I had this ship replace my alternator and change one ignition coil for over $900 on my Lexus. After taking my car to two more mechanics over the course of the past two months, I realize they had installed the wrong ignition coil and glued it so it would not come off. I was charged $100 for one coil that wasn't right. I've never written a negative review but feel it's necessary so this does not happen to someone else. read more

Through my work I had been coming to these guys for our fleet vehicles for a few years when they needed work done on them, whether it was oil changes or other maintenance or a few work ups to see what the vehicles would need done to be road worthy. My employer wasn't really cool about retiring death on wheels as much as I was. The guys were always friendly, helpful and straight shooters. Today, I needed to go in because of some issues with my POV. It's been a few years since I have seen them due to being on medical leave and being laid off from my prior employer, but they are the same helpful and friendly guys. I called yesterday to ensure they had time for me to stop by to inspect the brakes. Drove on up before noon and they were on it within a few minutes. They found an issue that may have caused some issues with my brakes I didn't even realize was going on. Lol that's what happens when a frustrated non-mechanic does his own brakes and is too tired to recheck his work in the dark. A pinched brake cable on my rear pass side. Don't know for sure if that is what is causing my main issues that I came for, but they checked them for free. Gave me a fair deal for realigning the cable. Sure, I could have taken it home and did it myself. Lord knows I likely messed it up myself to begin with. We shared a few laughs over it. Lol but hey at least real mechanics got a look at it and handled it for me. Spent an hour looking over my brakes, test driving my truck and telling me what I can do in the future. $40 for their help. Happily paid. I don't give a lot of reviews unless a place has really got my vote, people can use the information or they need to stay away from a joint. These guys are awesome. If you need help with your vehicle and can make it there I recommend giving them a call. They aren't mask kooks that will trip out on you, but to be safe & a little bit considerate, wear yours going in. Remember they are usually always in the bay, so go there first, instead of trying up front. read more

I was referred to Duncan's from a friend. I was so glad that I followed the recommendation. Brian was awesome. I have been having problems passing a Smog because of my Check Engine Light. An auto shop in the past changed out hoses and the light was back on within 20 miles. Brian knew it was due to a sensor. He removed the sensor and tried to clean it so I would not need to buy a new part - but with the mileage on the car it was better to buy the sensor. When I returned to pick up my car - he explained to me and showed me the sensor that was removed. I knew he did a thorough job and now my car is ready to pass the Smog. Will definitely be back to Duncan's. Love the level of service, the quality of work and the pricing. read more

I am so pleased with the service that the gentlemen that work at Duncan's provide! I was referred to Duncan's though a friend who spoke so highly of their customer service, prices, and their honest attitude. As I'm sure many of us can attest to, it's so difficult finding an honorable mechanic but within minutes of speaking with Brian and Greg, I knew that my car was in trustworthy hands. Here's a brief synopsis of the issues I was facing with my 2013 Hyundai Sonata: whenever brakes were applied, my cars wheel would violently shake and make a loud squealing sound. Additionally, I was in desperate need of an alignment. For the alignment, Brian recommended that I go to Anaheim Wheel and Tire off of La Palma in Anaheim. I name dropped Duncan's and I received their wholesale price which included a 20% discount which was nice. For the repairs, I was told that the shaking of the steering wheel was likely a rotor issue, which they fixed within 3 hours of dropping it off! SO QUICK! It seemed like the squealing sound that occurred when applying the brakes had to do with the defective rotors too because I no longer hear it. So happy with the straight-forward service and will definitely be recommending this shop to everyone I know! read more

I like many of the other yelpers started going here based on the recommendation of friends. This is by far one of the most honest mechanics I have ever been to. Not mention Duane and everyone I have come into contact with are the nicest friendliest people I have ever seen - it's like they actually like their jobs... They do not try to upswell you to add to their bottom line and tell you like it is. My whole family has started going here as have many of my colleagues at work and friends as well. On a recent visit my sister took her car in and they suggested what needed to be done but also told her it's not with the money to keep repairing the car - that she should look into getting a newer one. Who does that? Wouldn't you think they'd be like keep bringing it in (the sound of the register would keep going cha ching). I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I've had a low groaning noise emanating from what I suspected was a faulty rear wheel bearing. Thee noise gets gradually louder as I go over 35mph. I've brought it to Pep Boys before, but they (for whatever reason) couldn't find the problem and couldn't help me with it. Today I decided, I would give another Auto Service garage a chance. I looked up Duncan's and read some reviews and decided to call for an appointment this morning. Greg picked up the phone, and I told him my car's issues. To my delight, Greg told me didn't need to book an appointment for today and that he'd take a look at the problem with me. Once I got there, Greg hopped in the car with me for a test drive. Right away, he knew it was actually one of the rear wheel bearings, just as I suspected. We got back to the garage, and he gave me a couple of options on how to fix the problem. He wanted to give me the best possible solution that I could afford. I opted to go with the more slightly pricey option in regards to purchasing the better quality part. I left my keys with them, and I didn't expect to get a call back until Monday, but to my delight, Brian called me back a few hours later! He explained what they did, and afterwards my wife dropped me off to pick up my car. At the shop, Brian showed me the faulty worn out bearing, and he gave me some feedback in regards to a minor oil leak and pulsating brakes, which I mentioned earlier to Greg. Needless to say, I am happy with he service I got! Their price for labor seems fair too, considering they inspected my car for free, while the dealership wanted to charge me $189 just for an inspection! I will most likely come back here.
