Brought the boys today for bowling with the Kids Bowl Free program. Hadn't signed up for Kings, which I wasn't aware I had to sign up for each location separately. The staff at the front desk couldn't have been more accommodating and friendly. The waiter was awesome. I am the only person at the bar on a Sunday, late afternoon. The bartender was ok, not overly attentive, and pays too much attention to his phone. Not a good look for the front of the house. King's is our home away from home. We'll be in every Thursday for karaoke and Friday karaoke, Saturday DJ at the main bar after dinner or just to hang. Bella, James, and Sabrina are all-stars. Service and drinks are second to none. Pepperoni pizza from the brick oven well done is off the hook. Great food and a good time, I asked for a espresso margarita, and Mel was like well we don't have that but let me XYZ for you, and she made the best martini in the face of the planet. Two stars for the place, only because it was fairly spacious and clean. We were able to bowl without having to wait and the food was decent, but portions small. However, no stars for service and for the way they bill you. They take your card at check in for bowling fees and any shoe/sock rentals. Towards the end, the waitress will ask you if you want to put the food you ordered to the card on file. DON'T DO THAT. Say you'll pay for the food separately. I said yes and the waitress brought me the final check to charge for the food we ordered, which also included the bowling fees and shoe/sock rentals. So if you don't think carefully, you will tip off the final check amount (the majority of which for us was rental and bowling fees) and not just for the food. They should've charged me at the counter for the game and rentals, then issued a separate check for the food only. Our intention was to tip 15% for food due to bad service (we usually tip 20% or more), but ended up tipping the waitress almost 40% because the total check amount included bowling and rental fees. So basically I was duped into paying a huge tip for bad service. So don't be stupid like me and double check your bill and REMEMBER TO TIP ON THE FOOD ONLY or ask for a separate check for food. read more

Went here with a reservation but when we got there we found out google had somehow redirected us to a FLA location when we reserved and there was nothing available when we got to Lynnfield. Bummed, we were on our way out when the manager, Michael, approached us having overheard. He said the same thing had happened to others and he wanted us to show him what went wrong on the browser. They unexpectedly comped us some arcade cards for the trouble. So nice! Then while we were in the arcade, it turned out they had a no show so they found us and offered us the lane. We had a dozen people for a birthday party and it couldn't have been better. The service was exceptional, really exceptional. The girl who took care of us went over and above and handled the cupcakes, answered every question, and really made sure we had a good time. I bought a party package here for my 30th birthday, and the process couldn't have been easier. The sales manager Courtney was helpful both in person and on the phone. Even after the initial booking, there were a couple more times when I had questions and she was easy to reach and always willing to answer my questions no matter how many times I had to call back. Actually booking it was able to be done fully via e-mail and online. The pricing scheme for the party packages is based on how many lanes you want, from 1-4, and we booked 2 lanes for our group of 9. Not only did the booking guarantee us side-by-side lanes, but also allowed us to bring in a cake from outside! Furthermore, we ended up getting half the private room, which is called the King Pin Suite, and they had even put up my name and birthday on the screen when we walked in, making me feel truly welcome! Our server Greg was beyond attentive to us for our two hours, even helping us add extra time when a mechanical glitch prevented us from bowling for a short while. Near the end of our time, he even unprompted notified us how much money we had left so that we could use the rest of it on some food and drinks before time ran out! He genuinely just cared about my having a perfect birthday night and wanted to do whatever he could to make that happen!! Thank you Greg!!! read more

Came in to get out the cold and try to do some family bowling. Place is so nice and lively. Upon coming we were greeted and advised that there are no openings until late night. Due to covid limitation restrictions even though place was semi empty, we had to sit down to eat in hopes that we could get a lane prior to leaving. Awaiting my food to review further. My Mediterranean platter was really good. Burgers were good Chicken tenders eh Wings were Amazing! Cyle offered us a lane to bowl which was great but we already received passes for the arcade and kids were pretty much content for a while. Had so much fun here on a Wednesday date night. When we arrived, there was karaoke going on so it was very much alive inside. We decided to play some of the arcade games and had a blast. They have several different machines to play from. We also did one round of bowling right after and it was pretty busy. Took us about 45min to play. Shoe rental was cheap and so was the game. Bathrooms were clean and it had some interesting memorabilia inside to look at.. Definitely had a fun night! read more

Came here for all you can bowl and arrived around 6:45PM and pretty much started bowling around 7PM. After one game, the balls stopped coming back to us and we waited 30+ minutes for it to be fixed. And I'm NOT over exaggerating. Luckily after 15 minutes of waiting, our food came and we ate. 30+ min has passed now and the ball machine finally got fixed. Shortly after, they had the audacity to kick us out. Looking over how long we actually spent there, 1 hour max, they said time is up and we had to leave. Didn't even give us a 5 min warning to finish our game. I went to the host stand and politely said that our ball machine wasn't working for over 30 minutes and the tone of her voice while she said "as a courtesy, I can extend your time to 20 minutes" was rude. As if I had done something wrong. Also to note, we didn't even finish our meal and they handed us to-go containers and clearly wanted us to leave. The hostess said it was because it was busy, it was being timed. I understand this but we were probably the 2nd to last people who got a lane, therefore meaning we were there the shortest. Our lane-neighbor wasn't even asked to leave, they told us we should've let them know that they were there way longer than us... This was ridiculous and we left immediately. Had a very nice dining experience here just after finishing holiday shopping. Opted to sit in the bar/lounge area away from the bowling alley/noise. Very impressed with the upscale funky decor. Was left waiting to order a tad too long, but awesome manager on duty, Kayla, stopped over to apologize and comped us an appetizer. Food was very good, be warned their burger is MASSIVE so come hungry (will be HOURS before I attempt a small snack tonight lol). Tried one of their signature cocktails as well, don't remember the name but it had peach in it. The appetizer was brussel sprouts with maple glaze and blue cheese dressing on the side... very nice pairing! Worth a return trip! read more

Kings is a blast! I came here for a work event and it was awesome. Kings has it all: food, drinks, bowling, and arcade games. We were a huge crowd but the waiters were still very available and could find us with our drink orders even if we moved around the entire place My favorite appetizers was the bruschetta. It was heavy on the garlic, but that's the way I like it. The buffet was delicious as well, we had bread, salad, pasta, and chicken! Pro tip: they make boozy milkshakes. These were amazing. I had such a magical night at Kings on New Years Eve! There was a slight miscommunication about my reservation and the sales manager went out of their way to make it right and more! I am a Veteran and Kings takes care of Veterans!!! My friends and I got the VIP treatment on New Year's Eve! We had so much fun bowling, eating great food, having fun drinks, and then to top it all off we sang karaoke! I highly recommend this business to anyone looking to have a good time. I took my two sons to Kings, our first time there. To say that I am SHOCKED by their PRICE GOUGING is an understatement. The bowling was so expensive that it just defies common sense. My son ordered chicken fingers. A plate of low quality chicken fingers was $18!!!! We were next to another family when we checked out, and when they presented the bill, the husband and wife said "Are you kidding me!?" I know that restaurants and entertainment places have it rough but that doesn't mean they can't be upfront with the prices. I feel like my normal good will was abused by charging me $18 for some chicken fingers. They broke my trust, and we'll never go here again. read more

Had an incredible experience for my partners birthday. Made a party package reservation and we're served by Greg, the literal GOAT. He was so attentive, fun, flexible, helpful, kind, polite, and such a good sport for our rowdy group of 9. They held a cake for me in the fridge before our reservation started and provided plates and serving utensils as well as full restaurant and bar service. Greg really added to the spirit of celebration, and Randy, the manager, was also super kind and helpful- he quickly resolved an issue with our lanes and thanked us for spending our Saturday nights at Kings Lynnefield. Very average burger. The seaport location is currently closed so we came up to this one. The beer mugs are HUGE for $15. The food is not that great-they should stick to bowling. Atmosphere: 5. Very fun, good choice of music, nice decor. Food: 4. My milkshake was so good and my food was pretty good. I'd order it again. I loved the mac n cheese bites, I've never had them before! But the plate didn't come with enough marinara sauce. Delicious. Entrance: 2. They are extremely strict about ID's. I went with my father so I didn't bring my wallet, but they wouldn't stamp me. Service: 4. I really liked my waitress but in the middle of our meal, she left and didn't tell us someone else was replacing her. Bowling: 2. The waiter was a nice guy, but the service is slow. They had a new chef on and the waiter admitted that he wasn't sure the guy was going to last. They took forever with our order because they dropped a grilled cheese. My mom suggested they just split one up so the kids could start eating. One positive note : if you have lunch or dinner you get pushed to the top of the wait list for bowling. This worked out good for us. They even take your names and shoe sizes in advance and have the lane all setup for you when you arrive (shoes are waiting and names are up on the screen). Kudos The food is mediocre at best. Giving 3 stars because it is clean, spacious and a good facility for bowling and hanging out. However, we found our daughter's birthday party there to be overpriced, and found the way they bill to be dubious. When we booked the party online, our invoice was for the 2 hours of lane rental ($199), and we understood we were going to be billed for $60 of food (so that was the minimum food purchase). That was all fine, but they then bill a $19 'service fee', and included a $51, tip which was for food AND lane rental. We did not understand why we would be expected to tip on the cost of the 2-hour lane rental and shoes. I saw a spot on the online invoice (easy to miss) that allowed me to override the $51 tip and enter my own chosen tip amount, so I changed it to a tip I felt was sufficient for the food service, entered my credit card, and signed the agreement. Fast forward to after my daughter's party, and I was presented with a bill including the $51 tip the I did not agree to on my online contract. I was forced to talk to the manager, with the server standing there (extremely awkward) and explained that I did not think it is fair to be forced to tip on the cost of the lane and shoe rentals on top of the food service. When I asked what the $19 'service fee' was, I was told, "it's for stuff like the cups and plates used" (which were not paper, by the way, cups and plates that they wash, like a normal restaurant - I've never seen a restaurant charge a separate fee for the dishes you use!). She ended up letting me leave the tip of my choice, luckily, and we tipped our server very generously on the FOOD service only. The whole way they billed just felt questionable, and it was EXPENSIVE for just the 2 hours. Would have felt a tad better had they included even small arcade cards for the kids. Fun enough place to bowl and eat, but I wouldn't recommend the birthday parties. read more

Took forever to get our drink order and then when it was time to bowl the female manager told us we can't bring our drinks near the bowling area and have to keep our drinks at the tables near the bar. This makes absolutely no sense because people aren't social distancing near the tables... Ppl are on top of each other. Very disappointed and honestly won't come back. This place always has a BS scenario and the managers always apologize after they take your money. The food service is always slow and you never get napkins or silverware. I always have to go to the bar to get it as the servers disappear. If you need maintenance on the lanes it literally will take 40 minutes for someone to come over. That is unless you hunt someone down. For the price we pay they should be more than available when the buttons are pushed. They have a promo in place (see picture) and we were told the manager decided not to do it today. We were told it was not valid today. How is that possible as it is a bright sunny day outside? See the picture. 5 bowlers for 3 games cost me $125 vs the $60 it should have been. When we returned the shoes the current manager said he didn't understand why we didn't get this promo but didn't refund the money but give us 5 one game vouchers. Total rat trap! 3 of us signed up for bowling and we each had 2 cocktails each and a basket of fries to share, so we were spending money. After 1.5 hours, they shut the 2nd string down because they said we timed out and had to pay another $5.00 each to finish the game cause they had a waitlist. There wasn't one person waiting! We said, skip it we'll leave and then the "General Manager" came over and said no, don't my leave, stay on me. Hahahahaha. Really? Like he was doing us a favor. We finished the string and the bill was $156.00. They tied everything in together so you may actually forget and tip on the whole package. . I have been to their Burlington, Boston and Dedham location on several occasions. 08/04/17 I decided to test out the Lynnfield location. Figured it would have a diff demographic. Have a diff atmosphere which it did. The set up is a lil weird and it's much smaller than the other locations. But it's cool. Had a great time. The good: We sat at the tables by the bar. Was serviced right away by a lovely server named Liz. She was kind, polite, very accommodating. Even while serving multiple tables she was quick with our order, she constantly checked on our table and even while cleaning a big mess on one of the tables; she clearly had her hands full I asked for napkins when she got a chance by the time I sat back down another staff member brought us napkins. Now that's customer service. She couldn't do it yet still made it happen. How she do it so fast idk. It's employees like her that bring back customers. She represented the company well. So much so that not only did I see her as an amazing server but it made me look at the establishment differently to. Gave me a sense of comfortability. Let's me know that they don't only care about bringing in money but about providing great service by hiring great staff. read more

Went here today with 6 of us to have lunch and bowl. First it wasn't busy at all and was told We would have an hour wait. So okay. we sat to have drinks and food and it took approximately 15 mins just for someone to come and take our order. Once that was done they took us to a lane. It took about 20 mins for the drinks to come and the food another 10 mins (again Not busy at 2:30, Saturday afternoon). The chicken sandwiches were over cooked and the grill cheese, the cheese was barely melted. Just lousy food. Went to pay the bill and had to get a manager just to pay!! Really need to work on a revamp on staff and how to work with the public. There honestly was approximately 5 wait staff on and each time we saw them they were standing around. read more

Came in on a Saturday night and was able to be seated immediately with no reservation which was really nice. The server was polite but it did take awhile to put in our drink and appetizer order. Then we waited longer to find out there was no mint for the mojito I wanted. Completely fine, so I switched to a sangria. I'm not sure if anyone else has felt the same way but the drinks do absolutely nothing. And that's a lot coming from a light weight like me.. I have been here twice and ordered a pitcher of sangria last time with a friend and it had little to no alcohol. I always have such a blast at Kings. Bowling, fun drinks, tasty appetizers, weekday specials - these things all make me a pretty happy camper. We most recently came here on a Monday night for trivia (though we have also been a handful of times in the past for bowling, and quite a few other times for trivia night). The trivia hosts here do a solid job, and Kings gets enough of a crowd on Monday trivia nights to have just the right amount of competition. I ordered the Daddy-O (a fruity, gin-based drink) to start, which was good, but a little sweet for my taste, so I switched over to beer after the first drink. For my entree, I had the Spicy Orange Chicken; when it comes to deep-fried boneless chicken bites smothered in sweet, spicy sauce, I'm pretty easy to please, so I can't say I had many complaints about my meal. The presentation was cute as well (sort of a symmetrical 'pinwheel' of chicken + veggies, with a scoop of seared white rice in the middle). My husband had a pizza, which we've always found to be a fairly reliable (and budget-friendly) option here. In terms of their other food options - the mac n' cheese bites here are simply divine (though it looks like they recently updated the menu to have mac n' cheese 'patties' instead of bites - haven't tried those yet...). I also used to love their spinach / strawberry salad, which sadly seems to have disappeared from their menu with their latest update. If you're craving something sweet, I've had good luck with their milkshakes (they once were offering a daily special 'apple turnover' milkshake, which was so darn scrumptious that my husband and I still reminisce about it to this day). From our experiences here, prices skew a little high for what you get, but we typically justify it by saying that we are in part paying for the entertainment (e.g. trivia), which makes the couple extra bucks that seem to be tacked on per entree a bit more bearable. In terms of bowling, the atmosphere is great, but I'd highly recommend coming on weekdays instead of weekends - no sense paying more for the exact same experience. They do offer some great weekday evening specials as well (ladies night, buy-one-get-one, etc.), which are worth checking out if you find that Kings' weekend prices can get to be a little hefty. We're grateful to have such a fun place nearby, and have been overall pleased with the service level here (we've had multiple visits where management has swung by to ask us how our visit is going, etc. - much appreciated!). read more
