I was a craving a donut and decided to check this place out as it's close to where I live and it had good reviews. I got a chocolate glazed custard filled donut and a small cup of coffee. Unfortunately, the donut fell short for me. I didn't like the texture of the dough and it reminded me of Krispy Kreme. I guess I prefer my donuts to be more on the bready side? The coffee on the other hand was alright. Overall, the service was good but I don't think I'll come back for donuts though. read more

Who doesn't love donuts? I've been eyeing King's Donuts for a long time and finally got to try them out recently. There was a line out the door even early in the morning, but it moved at a good pace! They offer a nice variety of donuts in which I ordered a dozen, and King's Donut kindly gave me a few donut holes free of charge. The donuts were all fresh, soft, and dangerously delicious! Prices were fair and customer service was friendly. I will definitely be returning! read more

My go to for donuts every time I'm in the area. The donuts are fresh, fluffy, light and delicious without a greasy aftertaste. The ladies are friendly and always busy helping the next customer in line. I usually get the half dozen, and the glaze, sugar and chocolate are my favorite. The old fashion ones are good too! At some point I'll try the other ones like the bars, fritters, French, or twists. So glad I came upon this shop. It's a weekend morning treat! read more

When I got here there were like no donuts left, nine maximum, five of which I purchased leaving four. I understand why the selection would be slimmer but there was still an hour and a half left until they closed so I'm not sure what they would sell after the four remaining ones were gone. The lady helping us gave us one for free and the donuts are huge. Also, I like that their donuts aren't cakey or dense, they're squishy and soft. I don't think they were overly sweet. I had a maple bear claw with nuts on top, a cinnamon swirl, a maple custard filled, and a maple bacon donut. read more

Dude...dude. You know the kind of deliciousness that you just know there's no way it's good for you but you're gonna eat it anyway? That's the donuts that this place makes. They are ridiculous. I'm almost mad that I found them because I'm tempted to stop by there every time I come home from working out lol. It takes strength not to do it. These donuts are so soft and pillowy and perfect. If you're a cruller person, this place has some of the best crullers out there. My only complaint is that they sell out of the glazed ones too often. Please make more! King's Donuts is a couple blocks away from Dunkin' so if you were thinking about going there, don't play yourself--just go a little further down Clayton and you will be so so glad you did. read more

We drive by a handful of donut shops just to get over to Kings Donut's. Their donuts really are that great! They are the delicious fried donuts that you crave in the morning. There's some weight to the donut so it's super satisfying! My go to donuts are a sprinkle and old fashioned glazed donut. Just two classic donuts that hug your soul with each bite. Another reason we drive all the way down here for donuts are for their crullers-my sisters favorite donut. Not many donut shops around here make them and the few that do do not make them well. My mom and I have always been such big fans of this donut shop. We are sad that it is not closed to our house for the mornings but it's worth the trip. Any place that carries French cruller is already ahead of anyone else. We decided to get a mixture of donuts to share. I was super excited about the apple fritter and the glazed old fashioned. We also got a dozen donut holes. Every single donut was delicious. They even gave us an extra donut just because. This really is the place you want to go if you are looking for a variety of different classic donuts. Also they had some fun sprinkled types like fruity pebbles that are fun for the kids.... and adults because yum duh. I can't wait for my next morning drive back. SUMMARY: A donut shop in Concord claims it's the Best Donut Shop in Concord, but sorry we disagree 100%. King's Donuts is the best shop in town by a long shot! Plenty of parking and one of the friendliest, hardest working family in all of Concord! BACKGROUND: OK, we know at our age we shouldn't be eating donuts for breakfast. But we're not going to deny ourselves of something decadent either from time to time! KD is a few miles away and we know every time we hit it, we always leave happy. SERVICE (5/5) The family is such a jewel of a family. You don't meet families like this anymore. They all chip in from the nuclear family to the extended family. You can see the progression of the kids, nieces, nephews, etc. on the wall. And they work there. They're never in a hurry to take your order and rush you out. Always smiling. Always cleaning to keep things looking professional. Love them so much. Reminds me of my own mom and when she ran her grocery businesses. DONUTS (5/5) I'll keep it brief: never had anything there that either wasn't fresh or tasted good. My faves (when they're not sold out) are the bacon maple bars. Also they have good croissants but they do microwave them to warm them up, so if you're not a fan of micro'd bread (like me), just pass and toaster oven it when you get home. RETURN VISIT? Was in the shopping center for a morning appointment and saw this place on the corner and decided to stop by for some breakfast donuts. The donuts they offered were great fresh donuts but only had standard type donuts available at the time (didn't see a maple bacon that some other reviewers talked about). Regardless, the classics were tasty! Paid around $5 for a half dozen donuts and they gave me a free donut plus a couple donut holes for free =] No frills interior and a quaint mom and pop shop which is taking as much precautions with COVID as possible, having only a few people inside the small shop at a time, the rest waiting outside. Parking is easy as there are a bunch of other shops next door all sharing a large parking lot that doesn't ever get crowded that I've seen. read more

King's Donuts is the KING of donuts. I was waiting to post this review once I took some nice photos of my donut order but I literally cannot stop myself from inhaling them once I leave the store. Their yeast donuts are like sweet little clouds. The cake donuts are moist and dense. The old fashions have a nice crunchy crust and a soft interior. The croissants are buttery and flaky. The apple fritters are perfect. I could go on and on, but I hope you get the point. Even if I get there a little later and my faves are sold out, it doesn't matter because I know that whatever is left will be just as tasty. The only thing I would change is their payment system! The folks who work there are so nice but with their register, you can only tip them cash and I never carry cash anymore :( I hope they stay in business forever!!!!! read more

I brought my summer camp kids group here for the breakfast . Order one dozen donuts fresh and tasty. Kids love it customer service was really good. We I left I realized I don't have my debit card with me. I went back checked everywhere can't find it. I left my phone number with the lady at the counter . I was really nervous where my debit card went? Later checking every where in my car, I received a phone call from them stating they found my debit card by the garbage when the lady went outside to check. I was so happy and would like to give them good review and 5 star for their honesty and helping me. read more

A freind told me to try this place. I love maple bars/donuts and theirs were perfect. Not greasy - light as a feather - absolutely perfect. I have only been once and I will be back. I was driving a long way to get what I thought was a very good donut and so glad there is now one close to home. read more

It's simple...the donuts are fresh, they always toss in a few small bites on top of your order, and the sugar fix is satisfying. You don't have to overthink a visit here. i just wish they had Boston Cream donuts...I'd love to taste their take on it. read more
