Parking plentiful, easy location off Clayton Rd. Look for the clean Honda S2000 parked adjacent to the storefront. There might even be two of them. Very clean and spacious shop, friendly service, and selection was great. Old fashioned maple, glazed, sugar dusted, shredded coconut cake donuts, all regular donuts. Next visit, I'll splurge for a dozen of the "fancy" donuts. I got the dozen donuts for $10 cash which is a super value and I'm happy to support a local Concord business rather than a national corporate company like Dunkin Donuts down the street. Because supporting local business is supporting local community and promotion of local economy. Just a side note: I read the ingredients list on the Dunkin Donuts website and there are many ingredients I don't want to put in my body. I'm not naive to think donuts are healthy foods, but I prefer real natural ingredients whenever and wherever possible when I'm eating luxurious sweet foods. I went back very early this time just before 7 am much better selection especially plain glazed donut and donut holes are so melt in your mouth that it's very hard to stop at just one piece... I also tried croissant ham n cheese (heated it at home in the toaster oven) was very yummy... i totally love their French donuts so good ... I can agree this is the best donut place around the Concord area... try it you'll like it and never a regret! Should have left this review a long time ago. Been enjoying these donuts for years thanks to a colleague; brings them in to challenge our will power and a CHALLENGE IT IS. These are tried and true, straight forward, delicious! These are the type of donuts that cops approve of. Walk-in in the morning and the smell of fresh donuts is awesome. Their donuts are perfect really. The glaze is not too heavy, the cake donuts are just "cakey" enough, and the filled donuts are FILLED not a minuscule dot in the middle like most places. Great apple fritters w/real apple pieces in it. Don't taste any oil / greasiness at all. Now, I go by and buy when I can. They are the nicest people. Love this little family owned donut shop! Now, when I run a 10k or a half marathon event, I usually tend to reward myself to a nice crispy-edged cinnamony soft and frosty glazed apple fritter ($1.75). And why not, I deserve it! They're average in size and make pretty darn good ones too. So is their double twisted almond cinnamon maple glazed roll... TOO freakin' good! I've also tried their chocolate eclairs as well ($1.35), so fresh and soft. I wouldn't mind having one of these again next time. They do serve normal donuts of almost every variety as well. You want jelly filled, you got it! Something with creme, lemon, or maple; They've got it! Coffee, ham & cheese croissant; They'll serve it! Service was fine, it included a few smiles. We love King's Donuts, and we're always so happy when we go. They have a great selection of types and flavors. Their maple frosting is delightful, and not overly sweet. Their apple fritter is perfect. Crisp spots, soft spots, not too much icing, great apple flavor, and not greasy. My son loves their cake donut with chocolate frosting and sprinkles, and my daughter loves their chocolate bar. They always throw in a handful of donut holes into our order, and the kids love the little extra treat before they eat their donuts. The ladies there are incredibly sweet and happy to be there. They genuinely seem happy to see me when I come in. For a couple months I was picking up 10 dozen donut holes every Sunday morning to take to our church. I'd call them early the morning of to order, and they were so gracious in taking my order, and they'd recognize me when I came in and I wouldn't have to wait in the line. I've since moved to the Bay Area about 10 years ago and the donuts spots out here are mediocre at best. I stopped by this place on a whim and I'm soooo glad I did. Can I just ask why this place is so close to the gym? Every time I get out from Fitness Evolution, I drive past this donut shop, and my mind imagines the smell and it becomes a real scent to me. The longing and temptation ignites and I think about the nice glaze donut that would taste so good right now. Do note that this a small place. There are four booths to sit in. A lot of locals come by this area. Most of them live a few blocks away. It's the one breakfast spot, well food spot, in that shopping center. A bunch of salon and hair places with a thrift shop and a dentistry are nearby. (Heh, dentistry nearby.) It's a typical donut shop with the usual choices. We got glaze, sugar, maple, donut holes, and onward. They got milk, coffee, juice, and so on. Prices are reasonable too. One regular donut is 90 cents. Friendly people. Efficient when they grab your stuff. It's a very chill place. You'll see people eating donuts and having coffee a lot when you're around here. Donut was delicious. Picking up Friday doughnuts for work, I decided to try a different spot. When I arrived it was crowded, but the place was well-staffed and the line moved quickly. They had a nice selection of donuts and were efficient and friendly in packing up my dozen. A group of retired guys talking about current events, and a couple of dads had stopped in with the kids on their way to school giving the place a nice hometown feel. My family and I try and come to Kings doughnuts early Sunday mornings as part of our weekend outing.
