I have been to the Duck Donuts in Las Vegas on the strip and wasn't overly impressed. My brother told me about this new donut shop by a beverage store we were heading to, to buy some sake. We decided to walk over and try a donut whine we were in the strip mall. The name didn't set off a bell until we went into the shop and I saw the little rubber ducks for sale. My brother and I both ordered one donut a piece to try. I was pleasantly surprised. I tried a Strawberry covered in chocolate donut and my brother tried a S'mores. The donuts were nice and warm. I could taste both flavors on my donut. My brother said his didn't taste like a S'mores but he liked that the donut was soft, warm and good sweetness. I recommend trying any of the donuts. They are made fresh while you wait so they will be hit donuts made to order. We are ours there so they were pretty good. Service is good and quick. The donuts are priced competitively with most other donuts. Thus location is heads above the Las Vegas strip location.

Alright peeps let's see who is in the chopping block todayyyyyy!!! Alright Duck Donuts come on downnn!!!! We all know how we start so let's get into it. Let's start off with the outside of the establishment. First of they do share the parking lot with others store suck as IHOP, Walgreens, Starbucks, and other places so parking space is limited unless you park by Walgreens then by all means lots of parking spots. The outside is very clean and kept so good job there. Now when you walk in you would assume you would smell donuts but here is the fun part you don't it does not smell like day old donuts because this place is (MADE TO ORDER) yes peeps you heard me right this place make fresh donuts on the spot so no more "eww taste stale or umm idk what flavor this should be" no peeps this place is made to order which means that you get the freshest donuts you have ever had. Now inside there is space to sit down and enjoy your freshly made donut or just to sit and wait for your order. There are lots of decorations inside which of course the name says it all Duck Donuts so yes they do have rubber ducks for sale super cute. Anyways I decided to try the blueberry strudel and my wife decided to try the French toast one. For the price we paid I said umm a little expensive but I'm guessing worth it? Now the workers in there are super nice they greet you as soon as you walk In so high 5 for amazing customer service peeps. Now we only waited I would say 2-3 minutes maybe less when our order came out omg. You know that saying that goes "you eat with your eyes too" well I loved how our donuts came out I loved the smell of fresh donuts omg. So now the taste for it being a donut it was not that sweet which is what I love when I go to donut shops I usually ask for a non-glazed donut just plain and I'm not talking about the cake donuts no I'm talking about the donuts that have sprinkles on them and drizzled chocolate yeah I can't stand to much sugar so this was an amazing taste. The consistency of it gave cake meets fair deep fried donuts. The donut was so fresh that steam was coming out of the donut when trying to cut in half. You got the taste of blueberry strudel and not extremely over powering blueberry which was amazingly great. Now the French toast tasted more like a funnel cake which again I'm not mad or disappointed at just wish that French toast flavor was more there. Other than that we paid almost $9 for two FRESHLY MADE DONUTS. Now for the moment of truth is this place Dendinger approved???? IN ALL CAPS YESSSSS definitely worth every penny for fresh donuts. We will definitely be coming back to taste all their flavors. Thanks for such an amazing customer service and amazingly made donut.

Stopped by here on national donut day and picked up a half dozen box that came with 2 glaze, 2 powder, and 2 cinnamon. I didn't realize their donuts were made to order. I was late to pick up my donuts so the powder had already melted a little by the time I got there so I definitely recommend being on time lol. They were really good, I loved the texture of the donut as well. Even hours later the donut texture was still good. Would recommend to anyone in the area who is craving a donut. Staff were friendly and the inside of the shop is cute and kept clean.

After receiving a damning email, i came here for a little sweet treat to take the edge off. I've never had a warm donut before so I was excited to try. It was quite honestly the best donut I've ever had even if it was a plain glaze. It felt even sweeter when she offered a free cold brew since it was before 9. I think I need to come here more often and take her up on that! Angela the cashier was so kind and helpful with my order since I had ordered some for workers and some for myself. I love the ambience in here, ducks everywhere! It's fun to look at all the things in there while you're waiting for your made to order donuts. Thanks Angela for making what could have been a bad day, a bit sweeter

We stopped by Duck Donuts on National Donut Day with my 7-year-old son. Upon arriving, we learned the free donut promotion was limited to one per transaction. The staff explained that corporate hadn't fully clarified the details, so no fault of their own. Since my child was with me, I simply placed separate orders and we ended up trying three donuts: Glazed, Cookies & Cream, and Cinnamon Sugar, along with a cup of coffee. The concept is essentially the Subway of donuts: you start with a warm cake donut and customize it with glazes and toppings. Our donuts came out piping hot and needed a few minutes to cool before eating. The standout for me was the Cinnamon Sugar. It reminded me of a soft, fresh churro and was the simplest of the bunch. The other flavors were fine, but I found the toppings overpowered the donut itself. One thing I couldn't help noticing was that many customers were carrying coffee from the Starbucks next door. After trying Duck Donuts' coffee, I understood why. It was very mild and lacked the boldness I personally look for in a cup of coffee. Overall, the donuts were decent, and I can see the appeal if you're into customizable treats or need something eye-catching for a party or office gathering. For me, though, the experience involved a bit more fuss than flavor.

If there is a Legoland for donuts, this is it. You make your own and it comes out so beautiful and sexy and edible! I just wish it is calories free :) if you love fresh donuts and have some desire to make some awesome creation that you are dying to do. Duck Donuts is waiting for you!

Fun donut chain finally in the East bay :) My partner and I tried Duck Donuts down in SoCal and were excited to see it open in the same lot as BevMo and Walgreens! Lots of parking in a big shared lot. The donuts were a little pricey and take a little to make but every order is made fresh and the donuts come out nice and warm. Nothing beats biting into a warm cake donut! My faves were the maple bacon and vanilla cake with sprinkles. The donuts were soft and cakey and went really well with coffee.

Ducks Donuts was a new find near Sprouts and wanted to indulge my soft spot for donuts. Warm, tender crumb, generous with the toppings especially the bacon! My first bite was swoon worthy; it was more tender than I expected! Definitely worth visiting and will be on my list of favorite donut shops.

My first time at Duck Donuts & it did not miss! The staff were so friendly & attentive they explained their process and how to order. They are freshly made donuts that are customized to order right in front of you, I got the half dozen so we could try many flavors and all of the ones we got were so delicious. We ordered: Glaze Powdered sugar Coffee cake Chocolate Double chocolate Blueberry pancake It was soo yummy! They look a bit small but so filling & have that old fashioned donut taste. Ours came out warm too so that was a plus. Such a fun treat added to the plaza I love it!

Delicious freshly made donuts! I've had Duck Donuts twice now, and will definitely be back for more. The donuts are prepared fresh after you order them - they add the toppings in front of you. I love the French Toast and Chocolate Confetti donuts. The interior is inviting and fun, with lots of small rubber ducks decorating the store. It's a takeout place, but there is some seating outside. Service was friendly and helpful. My donuts were ready within 5 minutes.

I heard about this donut shop prior to its opening! This is a national donut shop that's new to the area, and they are known for their piping hot, made-to-order donuts! My son loves donuts, so I was excited to bring him here. As a little treat, we had a mom-son outing to Duck Donuts. I wanted to love this place as we sometimes treat him to donuts, and could loop this into a place we could offer to him as a treat, but alas, it missed the mark for us. The donut shop is in an interesting location, near Bev Mo by the freeway exit. The parking is free and easy, but the location definitely makes it lose ambiance points. Inside is cute, adorned with lots of duck decor. This is not so great if you're with an eager toddler that wants everything cute (this isn't my son, so we're good), but just a heads up for parents taking littles. There's lots of merch for sale at eye level for tots. I was a little disappointed that people were appearing with free donut coupons and 6 for $6 coupons that apparently were sent to local residents, but alas, we were never mailed one, so that sucks. It's pretty unfortunate to be standing there paying full price, when everyone else isn't. It just doesn't feel great, but whatever. My review isn't about that. Anyway, we ordered two donuts. They have some set donuts, but you're also welcome to customize your own donut which my son and I both opted to do. The person at the register didn't explain that this was an option, but thankfully, I saw it on the screen. She was a little annoyed I opted to browse the menu on the screen and commented that she'd be out of a job if I ordered through the tablet. She was half joking, but was pretty sarcastic sounding and condescending, so it felt awkward. The tablet actually shows more options (like choosing two toppings and two drizzles), and it's much easier to see the whole menu and all the customization choices at once. I liked being able to take my time browsing without feeling rushed to decide. Now to the donuts! It was great that the donuts came out hot. However, I don't feel it worked well with the toppings, actually. The toppings came out oozy and kind of a mess. It was incredibly hard to eat and it was definitely a fork and knife situation which I wasn't expecting from a donut. It reminded me of the Seinfeld episode where everyone is eating their desserts like a candy bar with silverware. A donut is a lowbrow, casual dessert...there's no need to bring out the utensils! Also, their plastic knives wouldn't really cut through the donut. I mean, maybe if they added some linen to the tables and proper silverware and served it on a real plate, and made this an highend experience, it'd be different. Also, the donut itself was kind of small. It seemed smaller than a Krispy Kreme donut. It was also sweeter. It was too sweet for me! Both my son and I got bacon as one of our toppings, which was cool and different! I was grateful that we both added that topping (we shared our donuts) because the savory note broke up the sweetness a bit. Without the bacon, it probably would have felt inedible to me. My son who loves to gush about food, was pretty indifferent about the donut which is saying a lot, and he likes sweets and donuts a lot more than me. I'm happy we tried it, but it's not something we'll be ordering again. I think we both agreed that there are far better donut shops in the area. It was a fun experience and I'm happy we tried it, but I think it's a one and done for me. If that free donut coupon ever comes in the mail though, I'd be back . But for the full price and quality, ehhhh...

I kept waiting to see when this location of Duck Donuts was opening but they never announced it on Instagram so we finally dropped in to check them out while we were visiting BevMo next door and they are officially open! We fell in love with Duck Donuts on a visit to Las Vegas last year and I've been so psyched that they're going to have a location close to us! Walking in I ordered a beach ball togo and loved checking out their duck decor. The service was a little standoffish and not as bubbly and friendly as the Las Vegas location, but my donut came out warm in a small carry out box. The donut was fresh and delicious and I really enjoyed the flavor, so all in all a wonderful start to a new location!

Duck Donuts finally made its way to NorCal and I couldn't be happier!! There are a few locations in SoCal and they've been on my radar for years, but I finally tried them once the opened closer to home. This is not your average mom and pop donut shop. Duck Donuts was founded by Russ DiGilio and opened their first location in 2007 in Duck, North Carolina. They specialize in made to order cake donuts that you can tailor to your own specific taste and the toppings are put on the donuts right when the donuts come out of the fryer. The interior is very cute, vibrant and fun. The walls are decorated with cute donuts and fun captions. They have plenty of little ducks around the store for you to admire or purchase. The menu here is a nice size, they have 28 different flavors of donuts for you to choose from that come in boxes of a dozen, half dozen or two. They also have donut hole dippers, ice cream, donut breakfast sandwiches and various beverages. I ordered a box of two and the flavors I opted for were Strawberry Shortcake and Raspberry Fluff. The strawberry shortcake was topped with strawberry icing, graham cracker crumbs and vanilla drizzle. The raspberry fluff was topped with vanilla icing, raspberry and marshmallow drizzle. The donut itself was so soft and moist, literally melted in my mouth but was a bit heavy. The strawberry shortcake was my favorite because the flavors were more prominent and went very well with the hot donut. I feel as though with the raspberry fluff I didn't get enough raspberry flavor. But the donuts are amazing! I've very picky with cake donuts because a lot of the time they can be a bit dry but this was definitely not the case and having them freshly made to order makes all of the difference. Overall, this is a must try and I will be back! I can't wait to try one of those donut breakfast sandwiches!

Whether she intended it or not, making that comment right in front of a customer who had just ordered that exact drink was incredibly unprofessional and rude.
