I have not been able to find good Indian/ethnic food in the area since coming to south Florida. The restaurant owner/manager was friendly and greeted our family warmly when we entered. My son immediately ran to the ice cream freezer, and was given a free small bowl right away. We ordered vegetable dumplings, chicken fingers and fries for my son, my husband had a shrimp taco and a shrimp taco, I had chicken masala. All of the food is prepared fresh, nothing frozen, so it did take a few minutes longer than expected to come out. Everything was hot and very fresh tasting and delicious. Called ahead to pick up (was told 20 mins, not sure if this is the norm) and they had it ready for me which was very convenient. This bowl came with the chicken, rice, their sauce, and salad. This is some of the best Indian food in the Broward area. The food is always made fresh. Our server, Cassie, was very prompt and we got our food fairly quickly. I had the tandoori chicken sub and it was very good, my friends had the chicken kadai and loved it. The daal is also delicious for the vegetarians out there. The music is cultural and timely. Ordered lunch here after a coworker recommended them. Oh my GOSH! It was so good! And the service was great to boot. I got a seekh wrap, which was made with fresh Roti and medium spiciness. Unfortunately, this was a first and last visit to Kings. Wasn't impressed by the food at all. The kebabs tasted just like the store frozen ready made rubber ones. The thikka was not at all a thikka it also felt store bought frozen and then microwaved. The Karahi was an insult to Karahi it was a tasteless oily curry with uncooked meat. The only thing actually good was the chicken zinger tacos but the quantity of chicken in it was so little more salad in the taco then the actual chicken. They don't have naan they have chapati style roti. Very disappointed by the food and the service. read more

I found King's Grill on yelp after searching and searching for Hakka cuisine. To my surprise a lot of the reviews were pretty good so I decided to try them out. I just ordered the Hakka chicken rice and hakka chicken since it was my first time trying them out. The Hakka rice was pretty good and flavorful but the Hakka chicken dish was barely any chicken and a whole lot of batter and the sauce it was in was VERY thick. I think I would return there to maybe try other items on their menu but my initial experience there was not the best one. Ive been here once before and the food was good and the service was amazing (it was the owner i believe) But I went there yesterday with my friends and we ordered the same as we had last time: butter chicken. They ended up over charging us for extra rice (our waitress had said that if we needed a little extra since she had given us one bowl for 3 people then she could bring us some failing to mention that it was going to cost more, because if she had we wouldn't have gotten it seeing as we didn't even use the rice she gave us. Later, when asked she insisted that she HAD told us) and giving us the larger ones instead of the small portions. It might not seem like much extra but we are 14-15 years old and we don't work. Not only that, but the two women were extremely rude to us when we were only asking a question (screaming in our faces and calling us "honey") When the owner came over, she also refused to let him talk to us. I'll be very honest, kings grill really doesn't get the exposure that it deserves. The food is really good and comes out quickly and it's really nicely priced! (8-11 per person). I love their Spicy chicken sub and zinger burger! They also have a lot of unique food that you won't be able to find anywhere else such as chicken tikka tacos and Bowls of rice mixed with butter chicken sauce and proteins of your choice (chicken tikka, zinger chicken). The tap water isn't very clean but the restaurant is. Plan on buying soda. If you're in the area definitely try this place out you will not be disappointed. read more

The one, poor girl behind the counter never lost her cool while angry customers complained about waiting so long - but come on, I'm sure this little place wasn't expecting a mob to descend on them like vultures. Patience, people. We had the standard butter chicken and chicken tikki masala. Not exactly adventurous fare, but wow, fresh and ridiculously flavorful. Going back tomorrow because I can't stop obsessing. Prices are fair too, unlike a lot of Indian restaurants. Don't expect ambience. I have been eating authentic indian food for awhile now. I have been disappointed as of late. I always enjoyed fresh herbs and dried or green chilies. I used to enjoy butter chicken with a kick. Then i ran into several indian restaurants that threw on a red powder instead of fresh herbs. My butter chicken was now sweet. I dont know if this was an american version of indian food or not . I only know that i didnt like it. I keep searching for the complex taste of indian food where you can almost hear and see mustard seeds popping. I saw bombay kabob and figured i would give it a try. There is a god. Piping hot corn and vegtable soup made my throat feel good . Comforting and not salty.the naan and rice were perfect. Samosas had a homemade flavor. The tamarind sause was the best ive had. The main dishes had chiles and not the red powder. Casey, waited on us and she was wonderful and accommodating.
