Yes, this restaurant has taken over from Khan Baba. I wasn't too impressed with the food. The beef samosas were bland, and the kheema had too many gristle, which made it…

I got the sajna combo briyani which came with chicken shrimp and lamb. Lamb was my favorite of them all. Next time I would just get lamb briyani instead so i can have more of the lamb. Their masala chai was mid. 3/5 for tea but still not bad if you want to grab a quick tea bite. Service was pretty good. Not crowded when we went. Pretty good vibes!

The owner was extra nice to us giving recommendations and coming in to see how we liked the food. She even comped our dessert for being first timers to the cuisine. We started with the crispy fried cauliflower and the delicious coconut soup, both were incredible. For our main, we enjoyed the chicken tikka masala with basmati rice, paired with warm cheese and garlic naan that were absolutely perfect for soaking up every last bite of the sauce. To finish, we treated ourselves to two traditional desserts: the rasmalai and the gulab jamun. They were the perfect warm and cold balance. The trick is to mix both and eat it. Omg! I can't wait to come back!

A restaurant can't always shine to the best of its ability with take out. But Maharaja has won me over in one night of take out! And ruined me for all other Indian restaurants I have had in the past. Not a single meal I've ever had in any Indian restaurant before tonight holds a candle to Maharaja, and I sincerely mean that. I can't wait to return and dine in. The inside is so lovely too. Tonight I had yellow lentil soup, the Maharaji Karahi chicken, and butter naan. I recommend all of it.

Since Maharaja seemed to be the only Indian place nearby, we figured they got their snacks there. The eatery offers indoor and outdoor dining. And the decor is eclectic and cool. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a while on a Sunday at lunchtime, but soon we were joined by other diners. And like the passengers in the car, they, too, were South Asian. To me, this was a great sign. Our server was extremely polite. And she asked several times if the food was good and if we needed anything. We also got complimentary Indian crackers before our meals. And were given free warm cheese balls for dessert. We ordered the goat korma and the lamb maharaja, both medium spicy, for our meals. The goat was tender but the korma sauce was creamier than expected and a bit sweet with actual bits of raisins. The lamb maharaja was spicier than a medium level. But oh so good with a great tomato sauce that offered a scintillating tingle to our tongues. It was definitely the standout entree. And everything came to the table piping hot, including the dessert cheese ball. We were disappointed with our order of naan. It was flat and tasteless. We've had better naan from a grocery store package. While the food definitely was very good, we thought the prices were a bit high. Our entrees were close to $30 each. And the portions were decent but not ample. Lunch for 2 with 2 entrees, an order of naan, tax, and tip, was $80.

We ordered the veggie samosas, chicken tikka fries, paneer tacos, a side of fries and mango lassi. The mango lassi was flavorful and refreshing. The side of fries were crispy and for $6, you get a ton! The veggie samosas were incredible. Crispy on the outside, delicious flavor on the inside. I could've just had two orders of those and been happy. The chicken tikka fries were such an insane portion, definitely enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and fresh. The tikka was pretty spicy, but not spicy enough to ruin the meal. Just spicy enough maybe to make the nose run a little, but leave you wanting more. The paneer tacos were super unique. Ive never seen anything like it. They weren't skimpy on the paneer either, would absolutely order these again! Overall with everything we ordered, and a soda, the total came to $53.40. Considering we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day, and two of the items we got were unique, I'd say it was worth the money and I would for sure be back to try other things.

My mouth is watering as I think of it. The only problem is, it is also swimming in grease. I can't understand why at least some of this grease is not drained off rather than included in the dish, to at least make it look more appetizing even if it is just as unhealthy. It is literally not for the faint of heart. If you are ok with this and a kick-ass spice level, then go for it. It tastes really great. Be aware that it does not come with rice - that needs to be ordered and paid for as a separate item. Yum! I gave only three stars because the restaurant itself could use a deep clean and sprucing up.
