I have been visiting this Kings Kitchen for some time. Haven't delved into more of the menu. Just pretty much have been sticking with the standards. Tried Char Sui, Half Chicken, Duck and roasted pork belly. All of these meats are very delicious and at times char Sui is sold out. Especially if it's later in the day. Also tried a beef fried rice dish which was brown rice. To me it seemed a little too oily for my taste. I especially love the wonton noodle soup with Ho noodles. Order in advance if you are picking up. The soup can take at least 10 to 15 minutes to prepare. They do have veggie stir, rice flour rolls and a lot more items that I will trying in the future. I don't speak Chinese and cashiers don't speak English much. But have adapted to picking out order on app. And take a screen shot so I can show cashier when ordering. Items are written in chinese and English. Also if you pay in cash no tax. They do accept credit, debit and other electronic payments. Service always friendly. We've been to other branches, and this location feels smaller... tables feel on top of each other, no room to give... so keep that mind for your party size. Food - got an egg & meat patty + lop-churn claypot, was good, takes too long, so skip if you're like hungry. We got 2 congees - century egg and tang jia jook. First time trying King's Kitchen at their new location. The place is definitely bigger than the old spot on 53rd St, which is nice. I got the roasted duck with flat noodle soup and pandan toast. The roasted duck noodle soup is always my go-to. The broth is hearty and comforting, just hits the spot. You'd think the duck would make it oily, but it doesn't at all. The flat noodles have a great chewy texture, everything just works together perfectly. The pandan toast was surprisingly good too. The spread wasn't too thick or too sweet, just enough flavor to go with the toast. Still the same great food, just in a bigger, more comfortable space. read more

My family and I went to lunch today. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and food was wonderful. This location felt a little small but clean. Probably did not help that we were seated at a table right by the entrance since there were a lot of people ordering take out or waiting to be seated. We got some roasted meats which was wonderful. I ordered the Braised Tofu and Fish over rice which was wonderful. Lots of tofu and a good amount of fish in the dish. We also ordered 3 combo bbq, some veggies, seafood pancake, and the specially priced salmon to share. There was so much food that we ended up taking some home with us for dinner. This newer Brooklyn location is a nicer and brighter take than the other two Brooklyn spots, though it's still tight inside with the same typical Chinese restaurant style service. Parking is tough around here, so driving in isn't the easiest. At the end of the day, it's a solid neighborhood spot with BBQ meats that hits every time, fresh rice rolls, and comforting individual clay pot rice. I liked the stir fry beef ho fun, and my go to's are the roast duck and shumai rice rolls. This location has added dishes like kaya toast, soft shell crab, roasted squab, skewers, lobster fried rice, and beetroot rice rolls, though I haven't tried any of those yet. This restaurant is very close to subway and bus stop, however, it does not have parking lot. The restaurant is very small and not good for big groups. We had a party of four and our table was full and could not fit any more dishes once all our food came. People were sitting right next to you and behind you, so no privacy at all. The shrimp rice rolls were small in size even though the shrimps were decent size. The wonton noodle soup and roasted duck noodle soup were tasty. The egg noodles tenderness was about right and the soup base was good. The portion of the noodle was generous. The eel in the eel claypot was juicy, but the amount of rice and eel was very little. Unfortunately, one order was unable to fill up an adult. The service was not exceptional, but acceptable. Cash only, but sales tax was charged and no discount was given for cash payment. read more

Quality of food isn't as I remembered anymore, though I know this is a newer location. Was the size of the claypot rice always this small, or am I misremembering, because when it actually came out, I was shook at the mini pots. Claypot Rice: ordered the eel and the chicken and mushroom. The eel one was terrible, just so dry, barely any real meat, and a hassle to pick through. The chicken and mushroom one was a little better in tastes, but came with only two pieces of lap cheung. Overall just dry and hard. Pandan Kaya Toast: this would've tasted 100x better if the bread was toasted and crispy instead of steamed. It was fluffy and the cream was fine Seafood Claypot: there was a good amount of ingredients in this, I'd get this again for the taste and size Pork and Pepper Stir Fry: I liked the flavors for this one but it was soooo oily even with a bowl of rice. Tried three roast meats in appetizer form and they didn't even give any of the good pieces for dine-in, and got served the bonier pieces that barely had any meat. Unfortunate. Came here on a recommendation to try their claypot rice. Unfortunately it was too late and they didn't have enough time to make it before they closed. We instead got wonton noodle soup, dumpling noodle soup, braised duck with chestnut over white rice and beef skewered and pork neck skewers. This place is sleek and very clean looking. The wonton noodle soup broth was good (wish it was a hotter), the egg noodles were bouncey and the wonton had a good ration of pork to shrimp. The dumplings in the soup were meaty and tasty too. The braised duck with chestnuts was different but good. Typical braised duck flavor. Should have been more meat than bones. The steamed beef rice rolls were not great. The crispy rice bottom was the highlight. Drizzle some soy sauce over the meat and rice, mix well, then you can taste the authentic HK style clay pot rice. ＊Char Siu, Crispy Roasted Pork 叉燒燒肉雙拼** Their char siu is one of the best I can find in Brooklyn. The sauce is on the sweeter side. The crispy roasted pork has a perfect meat-to-fat ratio. ＊Chilled Braised Beef Shank 醬飛牛腱 It came in a good amount of meat. Kings Kitchen is well known for their clay pot rice, rice noodles, and assorted bbq meats. All locations have a similar interior design. For this location, the staff were quite friendly and attentive. Service was busy, given the prime lunch hours. Food came fast, and customers were in and out. Came here for an early dinner on Saturday night, around 6pm. Got seated very quickly as it was still early and got to ordering. I got the roast pork soup noodles, sweet sauce with peanut sauce rice rolls, XO fried noodles and pandan toast for dessert. The roast pork was lean and flavorful, went well wit the chewy noodles. The rice rolls were unfortunately overpowered by the sweet sauce and you couldn't taste much of the peanut sauce. The fried noodles weren't bad, but nothing stood out. I've been waiting for this Kings Kitchen location to open since I first saw the coming soon sign during construction. Finally got the chance to try it on an early Saturday night. We tried the rice rolls with mixed sauce, pandan kaya toast, cha siew egg noodle soup, and xo stir-fried instant noodles. The rice rolls were sooo soft! They gave ample sauce but would've preferred more peanut sauce over the hoisin sauce. I am looking forward to trying some of the other rice rolls. The pandan kaya toast tasted more like coconut than pandan, which was a bit disappointing but still good. The cha siew egg noodles were okay. Good, but nothing to rave about. The xo stir-fried instant noodles were flavorful and the portion was huge. It could easily feed 2-3 people. Staff was attentive and checked in with us multiple times throughout the meal. The inside is small and spacious at the same time and everything is new and clean, which is lovely. The fried rice and noodles were both really good. The gravy sauce on the noodles wasn't too thick which I liked. I do think the noodles were a bit too soft for my liking! I love the rice noodle rolls here though. The texture is silky and soft and does not break easily. The congee is also not too salty and has a good runny and thick consistency! Fresh Chinese food at it's best. Cantonese style done correct. This was located in the heart of Brooklyn's Chinatown. You can see the ducks and roast pork hanging through the window. All the dishes here are made from scratch. And we got a ton of food. From the bbq pork to the roast pork. The crispy duck skin with the wrap was delicious. The Singaporean pandan Kaya toast was a treat. The chow fun noodles were some of the best I've ever had. Even the lemon jasmine tea was refreshing. This location is a more upscale version of the other kings kitchen. Though the dishes were innovative, I'm finding that the flavor doesn't deliver to how good it actually looks. I had the peking duck which comes in usual fashion, but they take out the meat and use it as part of a stir fry dish. Though the duck was tasty and baos were fresh, I prefer to have actual meat on my peking duck. I also had the stir fried rice noodles which were unbalanced with ingredients IMO, with too much onions/vegetables. Rice noodles were soft and fresh, but would be better if it was more charred and stiff. Not sure if I would return, and will go to my local kings kitchen for my usual order of clay pot rice :) read more

Personally, I liked the food. When I first there, I had to wait around 20-30mins. The place is small and had around 10 tables. There were people lined up in front of us, behind us, and also ordering to go. Since it was a grand opening, there was a special promotion going on. My family ordered one veggie to share, two clay pots and one bbq combo plate. We also ordered the rice roll with peanut sauce. In my opinion, skip the rice roll with peanut sauce! It was too sweet to handle. The clay pot and the veggies were fantastic. It was flavorful, it was hot and it was filling. My bbq combo was also a hit. They ran out of one of the meats so make sure you get there early if you want all of the selection. They serve ice water or tea and they were very attentive with refilling the cups. New Kings Kitchen in the area! I stopped by after dropping my mom off to pick up some cha siew and roast pig to bring home. The space is very clean and feels pretty spacious. The ordering system is a bit chaotic though, and you really have to stand your grand to make sure they see that you're next and not the random person that just bullied their way to the front. I came for the grand opening and enjoyed the food! It's nicely decorated with a modern style. There's new dishes here that are different than the other locations like the chef specials by executive chef Wing Wu. I tried the Australian Lobster fried rice with foie gras ($28) and it is so good. It's well flavored and the foie gras is soft and melts in your mouth. I also tried the Dimsum sampler platter and they were all super crispy, flaky and buttery puff pastry exterior with different fillings inside like durian and taro! You can swap out the durian for another flavor too. The Kaya pandan toast could've had more pandan flavor though.
