This hotel caters to business travelers during the week and wedding parties on the weekend…read more Well-priced for business, but some areas definitely lacking. - Cafe was woefully understaffed. Server at dinner was friendly, but food took over one hour with little apology or explanation. Food itself was way below expectations for standard cafe fare (pizza, sandwiches, salad). On another evening, bartender was borderline rude when asked if the bar had any chips, nuts, etc.: "No." - Workout accomodations also lacking for business hotel. Just four machines and one out of commission. Water dispenser empty. Jacuzzi colder than the pool. - On the upside, front desk staff was consistently cheerful and helpful - top 5% service.

They didn't book a suite of rooms but rather we all booked individually and still ended up fairly close to one another. The bar scene was great and offered us all an easy way to connect before and after the wedding festivities. On top of that, the rooms were large and well-stocked with everything you would need (iron, shampoo AND conditioner, shower cap, 2 kinds of soap, etc.), beds were comfortable and I even got a phone call 5 minutes after check-in from the front desk to see how the room was. The staff was friendly and helpful. Couldn't beat the price either- great AAA discount! Would stay here again in a heartbeat

Disappointing stay -- needs serious updates and better maintenance…read moreHave you heard of 'shabby chic'? Well Quality Inn Ledgewood--Dover is most definitely 'shabby dilapidated'. I recently made a mistake and booked this hotel again. It was a last-minute emergency trip back to New Jersey, and I figured how much worse could this hotel have possibly gotten in three years. I stayed several nights at the Quality Inn Ledgewood - Dover and left frustrated. The building and rooms are clearly dilapidated and badly overdue for upgrades. * Cleanliness: The carpet and upholstery looked stained and worn. I found dust and grime on surfaces and in corners; the bathroom grout was discolored. It felt poorly cleaned between guests. * Room condition: Fixtures were loose, paint was peeling, gaps between where wall meets ceiling. * The whole place, but especially the areas where the rooms are, smell damp, musty, and of a combination of cigarettes and marijuana. The room I was in even had a store-bought air freshener plug-in. So, they are obviously aware of this problem. The air freshener was not enough to mask the smell that permeated from hallway into rooms. * Attempts at renovating indicate rush jobs and poor craftmanship. For example, shower walls looked like they were thrown up without any care and loose faucets. Maintenance to toilet reflects unsightly patching of floor. * The first room 222 I stayed in had a trickle of water coming out of the shower head because the tube spout diverter is problematic and the water selector handle kept falling off. The room was plugged in to its wall jack but had to dial tone. * The second room they put me in was 211 wasn't much better. However, the water selector and tube spout diverter worked good enough to get decent water flow to the shower head. * In room 211 the sink faucet handle is loose and the valve stem leaks when you try to get hot water. * The beds are uncomfortable and pillows are so soft that you wake with a kinked neck. * Outdated amenities: The TV was an older model with limited channels. * The advertised breakfast was minimal and low quality, salty omelettes and watered down juice. * Children were running down hallway in the middle of the night, and loud music from rooms. * Value: Given the condition and lack of functioning amenities, this felt like poor value even at a low rate. * The refrigerator and microwave in both rooms worked. However, they're plugged into a power strip. Lighting is dim and outdated. * I wouldn't recommend this property until major cleaning, updates and repairs are completed. Owners do not invest any money in the maintenance and renovations of this hotel. If you need a budget stay in the area, consider other nearby options with better recent reviews.

Stay away for the love of god. Unauthorized credit card charges and unprofessional staff…read more The room wasn't horrible, but the overall experience with the hotel and staff has ensured I will NEVER return here. I stayed here for one night along an anniversary roadtrip with my boyfriend. When we arrived there, we were checked in by some guy in a Nike hoodie that could've easily been confused with another hotel guest. When it was finally our turn to check-in, I told him I booked through the Hopper app and gave him my license. He told me that I couldn't get a room because I was 19 and that they have a 21+ policy. I showed him on the app where we booked that their policy clearly states 18+ and he finally let us check-in after calling a manager. Unprofessional service and unclear on their policies. I provided my credit card for the $50 incidental hold. This is where things started to go really bad. The day after we left I noticed they charged an additional $71.22 to my card, so I called and they said it was a mistake that they double-charged because I booked through a third-party app. He said it would take a few days for the charge to reverse. Today I checked again and noticed that the original charge disappeared and that a NEW charge of $71.22 took its spot. I called again and he said he'd look into it. If today weren't a bank holiday I'd be on the phone right now disputing the charge. As I said, the room wasn't bad. The shower worked fine but the pipe was broken out of the wall. There was a very large cobweb in the corner of the room. The bedsheet had some minor rips in some spots and I'm so glad we brought our own blanket because the sheets were horribly uncomfortable. This hotel is dingy and run by some shady people. If it weren't for the credit card issues I wouldn't be so appalled, but this stress was NOT worth a one-night stay. I would've rather slept in my car for the night on our roadtrip to a nicer hotel in the Poconos. Please save yourself the trouble and stay away from this slimy place.

OK, so first off let's start with a good. My boyfriend and I spent the night there because we went…read moreto a Viking festival nearby. Yes, you read that right a Viking festival. Don't judge me lol. So this hotel was very close and reasonably priced to Vasa Park, which is where the Viking festival took place. I figured it's a Days Inn not a Ritz, so I wasn't expecting anything amazing, but it is by Wyndham so that makes reputable. Anyway, back to the good... So check-in was easy, the room was clean, bathroom as well. Breakfast the next day was fine. It was a simple continental, breakfast with cereals, muffins, waffles, bagels, yogurt, and coffee. No eggs, breakfast meat or fresh fruit. Staff at the hotel was very nice and the person at the front desk/breakfast area asked several times if we were OK or needed anything else; that shows hospitality. The breakfast room was adorable and very cozy with a nice, warm fireplace. Now for the bad... the tub looked a little bit old, water pressure low, and there were some stains on the sheets and comforter; not huge, but regardless a few little stains. The big negative now....I was not able to sleep very well in that bed because the mattress was very deeply sunken in. I literally felt like I was sleeping on a slide, with my head by the pillow and my body on an incline going down. It was pretty bad. I decided to scoot down into the...I don't know what you even call ...it the sunken part of the mattress, and my feet were nearly off the end of the bed, but I found that was the only way that I could actually sleep. In the meantime, my boyfriend tried to maintain that slide position, but he said that the deep abyss kept pulling him in and he struggled to keep that slide position. I said to him that he should have gone in the hole with me rather than struggle. It sounds a bit funny as I'm writing this but quite honestly it was super uncomfortable and just based on that I would not return. I did not get a good nights sleep whatsoever and neither did my boyfriend. As for the rating, I would give it a two out of five. My boyfriend gives it a three out of five. You can see he is a bit more generous than I am. Though he says I'm being a but harsh. Nonetheless, I would say it's a 2.5 only because the mattress was in very poor condition. If they were to get a new mattress in that room (215) then that would be terrific. I can't say if all the rooms have mattresses in that condition, but that was the case for mine, unfortunately. Like I said, otherwise the hotel is fine.
